Thanksgiving at the beach

We were able to have family and friends here at the beach. Accommodations were excellent,clean and comfortable. The beach was only a block away and the condo had all the beach stuff, skim boards, surfboards, boogie boards and chairs. Bob and Patty are the best hosts.

Relaxing Carolina Beach Stay

My extended family (9, all over 23 yo) wanted to spend some quality time together after a stressful so far 2024. This was the perfect place and location! Had everything we could need or want, super close to beach--even 80 yo Mom didn't have issues walking there. Would definitely come back!

Great Spot

First time visiting Carolina Beach and this place was great for my family. A block from the beach, plenty of room for the 5 of us including a 3 year old and my mother who is 70. The steps weren’t bad for her. Only slight annoyance and it’s not the owners fault was there were people above us and we could hear them walking. But again that’s not the owners faults. Will def pick this place again for next family vacation.

Close to the beach, restaurants, stores. Even though towels & washcloths were provided, you were only given one of each for each guest. Suggest you bring extra towels so you are not washing towels everyday. The owner was very responsive to our questions.

Perfect location

We really enjoyed our stay at this beach condo. Place was clean, PLENTY of space for the four of us to spread out. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook a great meal. The owners were great to communicate with and let us check in early which was an amazing surprise. Best part was the location. A 2 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute drive (if that) to the boardwalk, restaurants and grocery store. Only one downside… which can’t really help or control is you can easily hear the neighbors upstairs. Definitely would recommend and stay here again.

Carolina Beach Condo Summer 2023

We were looking for a place that was comfortable, clean and close to the beach. This place covered all the basis and was very nicely decorated too. We had a great view of the sound side and was only a block from the beach. We loved that it was pet friendly and we were able to have our grand puppies stay with us too. We met the owner and he was very nice and helpful. We will definitely be back and stay here again. The condo unit next to us is also same owner and is decorated beautifully. We were able to tour it as well and will book it next time we come to visit.

Hi Charlene, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: Thank you for noticing how nicely prepared, clean, and well-stocked the condo was. We truly uphold high standards of hospitality for our property and create exceptional experiences for our guests while staying on Pleasure Island. We truly wish we had known you were staying in our condominium to scatter your daughter’s ashes, that must have been awful. - In our attempts to contact you before and during your stay, we reached out to see if you had any extra needs for your trip and also gave you directions about parking. We're usually notified by our guests on the purpose of their trip and had we known about your intentions to lay your daughter to rest, we would have graciously informed you that Pleasure Island performs fireworks along with a celebratory environment during the summer season. We would have also warned you that to scatter the ashes, you would need a city permit. In all of the messages, we included our contact information for any issues that might arise. - Communication is important to us and we wish you had reached out to us to report any parking issues you experienced and the other guest's party so we would have the opportunity to address your concerns immediately. Once we were notified about the guests parking in the wrong spots, we contacted them right away. - As your stay was during Memorial Day weekend, traditionally that is the beginning of summertime when people travel across the country to Carolina Beach and Pleasure Island to enjoy and celebrate. Had we known the purpose of your stay, we could have suggested a quieter weekend. - We aim for transparency and our listing description is accurately advertised. We have a strict house rule policy that no more than 10 guests are allowed and we are a no-party property. Unless someone reports a complaint to us, there is no way for us to know of the situation at hand. - We were not informed of the purpose of your visit with us until the day before check-out. In understanding your concern, we compensated you for the one night only. - We do our best to provide a comfortable and enjoyable environment and external factors such as the weather for the weekend, the neighbor disruption, and fireworks are simply out of our control. This home was everything we had hoped for and more! The accommodations were beautiful and so comfortable, the location was perfect, and the hosts (Bob and Patty) were so kind and helpful. They provided communication that went beyond just providing the basic information. Their accommodations made us feel like we were at home. They took extra time to make sure all of our questions were answered and even provided insight about the area’s dining options, etc. Their extra care before and during our stay made our trip so very enjoyable from beginning to end. Family Beach Vacation

Our family had a great time. The condo was perfect. The owner supplied bath towels, linens, towels, beach toys, buckets, etc. which was great. However I did bring a few extra bath towels because with the young children it's hard to say 'hang your towel up so you can use it again'! Having a washing machine was also very handy. Our only issue was that the neighbors upstairs were a bit noisy and heavy footed at times. Not sure how you solve that in a rental property. We will be back and rent again. Thank you so much.

Amazing location, but cleanliness could be improved

The location was absolutely amazing, and the place itself was lovely, but it wasn’t the cleanest upon arrival. We had to clean the floors and wipe down the countertops ourselves. The coffee machine also seemed like it had never been cleaned, but we took care of that. One thing to note, the porch didn’t have the table and chairs that were shown in the photos. Just had big white chairs. It wasn’t a huge deal though since the neighbors upstairs water their plants often, and it drips a lot onto the patio anyway. That said, Bob and Patty were incredibly responsive! Anytime we had an issue, they addressed it quickly. For example, there was a bug issue that was taken care of right away. They also provided great recommendations for local spots to check out. We were really impressed with their communication! The beach access was perfect and peaceful, making it easy to relax and enjoy the surroundings. 3.5/5 overall

Sun Rise to Last Light

Sweet Carolina Beach condo is located steps from the beach. We took every morning and evening walk, soaked in sunrise, tide pools, turtle nesting and last light. When inside, the hosts here, Bob and Patty have literally thought of everything. The unit is completely stocked and beautifully furnished. The hosts are a text away for entry access and any questions. This vacation was literally a dream come true with memories to match. Thank you again for a wonderful week!

Great location and Great Hosts

The unit was great! It was a quick walk to the beach and close to everything. It was not just people friendly it was pet friendly. The unit was nicely decorated and the hosts, Bob and Patty were very responsive and they provide items to make you feel at home. Would definitely stay at this property again.

The Condo was excellent. The location of the Condo was next to the Sand Dollar public beach access so it was only a 5-minute walk to the beach. The Condo was clean and stocked full of the many essential items you always leave home when on vacation. The Condo has the canal in the front and the ocean in the back and is in the heart of all the fun things to do in Carolina Beach. Would highly recommend staying at this Condo if you plan to stay at Carolina Beach.

Just beautiful

What a wonderfully renovated and beautifully located property! We loved the decor, and the rooms were all very spacious and bright. The view off the front deck over the sound is just lovely. Very nicely furnished and comfortable for a group. A really well done place - we would definitely stay again!
