The property was great and peaceful. We enjoyed the balcony and its view of the estuary. Though it rain, we were entertained by the table-tennis and fusball table. The accommodation was conveniently located near to a local cafe (5 mins walk). We felt recharged leaving the place and wished we could stayed for longer.

Thanks for your review. I’m glad to hear you had a relaxing and enjoyable weekend in beautiful Dawesville.
Fantastic property, surrounding neighbours appear to use as holiday homes so nobody there over the period we booked meaning it was very quiet while we were there. Heaps of room and heaps of beds.
Very clean and owners very responsive

Thanks for your review, Lloyd. Very pleased you enjoyed your stay and the house suited your needs. Thanks for being tidy, respectful guests. We’d welcome you all again. Louise
The house is big, comfortable and true to description. The upstairs tended to be hot but this was during a heatwave. We loved the estuary view and proximity to the water and found it was ideally situated for access to lively beaches and water activities.

We had a fantastic stay at Dawesville! The whole family enjoyed crabbing and we appreciated the generosity of our hosts in sharing their crabbing scoops and kayak (for the one who was less keen to wade!). House is very spacious and we had many foosball playoffs - great fun for all of us! Super comfy bed and afternoon drink on the balcony made it a perfect place for relaxing. Thank you for allowing us to stay!!

we enjoyed a very lovely weekend here enjoying the very spacious and beautiful furnished home with very mesmerising views. The waters edge is so close for a lovely swim or walk along the foreshore. The sea on the other side is a short drive and all shops etc are very close by. A perfect home and location to relax and explore this region.

Thanks for reviewing your stay, Mandy. I’m pleased to hear you had an enjoyable getaway and the house was suitable for your family. I’d welcome you another time. Louise
Dolphin Lodge is a lovely home, great for older and younger kids, and separate area for adults to relax. There is table tennis, table soccer, basketball, puzzles, and games for the kids. Kitchen was user friendly and well equipped, which made making dinners etc easy.
Beds are comfy, and extra blankets were available which was nice as it was a bit chilly.
The house itself is located in a quiet culdesac, but still close enough to town if you need something.
Thank you for having us, we had a lovely weekend away.

Thanks very much for this review of your stay and the house. I’m so pleased the house was suitable for your family. Even though there was wintry weather over your last couple of days, it sounds like you still enjoyed yourselves. You were respectful guests who are welcome again. 😃
What a great place for a get together with friends!
Accommodation, cleanliness and location are marvelous!
Everything you need plus much more to have fun in the waters nearby. A boat ramp virtually in front of the home on the Estuary made it so much easier to get out there for crabs. The crab linguine we made was Devine!
The view at the front was wonderful and the upstairs balcony even better.
The only negative was that it has cream carpets in most areas which is hard to keep clean with everyone going in and out, but it also creates a homely feel and would be magic in the winter months. I would definitely recommend this place and would go back again.

Thank you for your kind review, Enzo. I’m happy that you enjoyed your weekend & had some crabbing success. I’m also glad the house was all you hoped for, and as for the cream carpet…. It’s not my favourite thing about the house either, so I’m pleased to report that new carpet has already been scheduled for March. Thanks for being respectful guests & we’d warmly welcome you another time. Cheers, Louise
We had a fantastic stay in this house. The house has everything you need to make the holiday easy without packing too much. The outdoor decks are amazing to spend time on.
The location is perfect for families, just a small walk from the estuary, playground and cafe.

About the host
Hosted by Louise
We are an active family of four who enjoy water activities, beaching, surfing, cycling, camping and hiking. We love getting away from the city and relaxing on the balcony of our holiday home at the end of an energetic day. The peaceful views, friendly locals and chilled out vibe of Dawesville recharges the batteries each time we are there. We hope you will enjoy your stay and feel rested and rejuvenated afterwards too.
Why they chose this property
It hasn't got the most modern decor or designer kitchen and bathrooms, but this house is huge and very comfortable for up to 10 guests. It's perfect for 2 families to enjoy as there is space for everyone to relax inside or out on the balcony. And who can resist great water views?
