Stunning View, cute place

Cute place with a stunning view! Short scenic walk to town. This region can get a bit windy so bring a jacket.

Amazing location and view

Our first ever tiny home stay was great. All the comforts of a full size home shrunk down to tiny. The view of the lake was amazing. The only negative we had was the last night we got zero sleep due to very hight winds that shook the lovely tiny home all night.

Jack, we’re so glad your first tiny home experience was a memorable one and that you enjoyed the comforts and stunning lake views. We’re sorry to hear the high winds disrupted your final night, which were caused by some exceptionally bad weather during your stay. This is not typical for the area and was a country-wide weather issue. We hope the rest of your stay was enjoyable and we’d love to welcome you back in more favourable conditions. Reputation & Resolutions Coordinators, Bachcare.

Check in was very easy (even as we had to check in when it was dark!) and communication with the property manager was great. The property is very much as pictured. We enjoyed our stay but also realized tiny homes are not for us :)

Thanks for your review. We're glad to hear check-in was smooth and communication helped make things easy, even with a late arrival. It’s great to know the property matched your expectations and that you enjoyed your stay, even if tiny homes aren’t quite your style. We’d be happy to host you again. Stay here!

If this tiny house is available, book it. Views are amazing. House has anything you could need. Easy access to Milford Sound area. Super quiet neighborhood. You'll just want to sit on the deck with your coffee or a glass of wine.

Fantastic view of the lake and mountains - probably best view I’ve ever seen from a rental. Multiple rainbows seen in the morning while drinking coffee. Well-stocked kitchen and water pressure of great. Bed is okay - very loud if windy and whole house sways which is most days in the area. Also if going in the summer, be prepared to sleep with windows open as there is no way to cool the place, only heating.

Hi there, Thanks for such a thoughtful and detailed review. Wonderful to hear the view impressed you so much. Great to know the kitchen was well‑stocked and the water pressure hit the mark too. I appreciate you sharing the more challenging aspects as well. The movement of the house in strong winds can definitely be noticeable in elevated or exposed locations, and your note about summer ventilation is really helpful for setting expectations. Feedback like this is valuable for both us and future guests. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience. Best, Bachcare Reputation and Resolutions Team

Who wouldn’t like staying on the shores of the largest lake on the South Island? The views were spectacular and the house is well thought out and works for travelers. Older folk need to think hard about coming here as the sleeping lofts require a little work to get into and out of but the wake up views make up for that. Younger folk won’t find it a problem at all. Come and enjoy this special place.

Nice getaway

Great location and very nice secluded feel to the house while still being a 5min drive to Te Anau town centre. Had issues with the power switching off. Didn’t have any instructions on how to get it back on and it turned out to be outside (in the rain). Other than that great place for a romantic getaway.
