Freycinet Hideaway - Freycinet Holiday Houses

Freycinet Hideaway is located in the heart of Coles Bay and is professionally managed by Freycinet Holiday Houses. Located right on the edge of the Freycinet National Park, the gate way to the world renowned Wineglass Bay.

The house itself is set on an internal block surrounded by gum trees, which offers a good degree of privacy.

There are 4 bedrooms that comfortably sleep up to 8 people, a spacious lounge and two deck areas for entertaining with a BBQ and outdoor dining options. The kitchen is well equipped.

This property has plenty of heating and a wood fireplace that can be used in the winter months (May to the end of September only) to cosy up to.

Enjoy listening to the sounds of nature or just lounging around soaking up the sun. You may even see some of the local wildlife up close, the trees are abundant with birds and there are sometimes wombats and little wallabies hopping around.

Within walking distance to Richardson’s Beach, also the shops and cafes in Coles Bay.

Cosy relaxing stay

Great place not too expensive near everything you need at Coles Bay. We really enjoyed our stay and the area around Coles Bay and Freycinet National Park.

Our stay

The property could do with a thorough clean. Cobwebs everywhere and there was a used cotton Bub on the floor of the second bedroom. The location was good and the living room very spacious and functional.

Relaxing among the trees

Lovely quiet and leafy outlook view of the mountains. Well appointed and spacious enough.

The property was lovely warm and clean, nice quiet location in bush surrounding short walk to beach. It was marred by terrible kitchen implements. Badly degraded teflon pots and pans. One glass then plastic. Sheet straight onto textured mattress. Would have given five stars if it had better of above

Cozy, clean and comfortable

Checking in and out was easy. We ran into some issues when arriving but the checkin process were no hassle for us. We were down with baby, young kids, partnered adults and single adult. The house was set up with plenty of room for everyone. Plenty of products for general use of the house available to keep it clean. The house itself is your typical tassie cabin style home surrounded by bushland and native wildlife with a view of coles bay mountains.

Home away from Home - with a nicer backyard

The process of remote check-in was flawless, we received the text with code, drove in, unpacked and settled in. All the information we needed was clearly displayed making everything that much easier. The house is amazing, clean, well-furnished and the local area is unquestionably one of Australia's most beautiful landscapes. We were travelling with our adult daughter and 18mth grandson and the home catered well for his needs. The property managers are professional and communicate well and in advance - thank you for such a wonderful stay, we wish we had booked longer and will be returning customers when next travelling to Tasmania.

Great family getaway

The house was excellent, had most of the little things you need but never remember to pack like alfoil and oil. great location right next to the national park but can still walk into town. We were quite disappointed with the property managers. We were there during the bushfire in September 2023 and would have had no idea of the situation unless other friends had contacted us. due to the fire the power was out for 12 hours, we left a message with the property managers but never received a call back.

Poor value for money with ubderwhelming outlook

The house is large and clean but completely overpriced - the outlook in the photos is misleading, the view is of a vacant block with caravans. The shack is fine just a rather aged family shack. Very disappointing for the price.

Excellent Location

Soo close to Freycinet National Park which was perfect for me as that’s where I spent all my days. Accomodation has cosy cottage vibe and lots of room for big families/groups of people. Would recommend :)
