We found this cute gem when looking for a place to stay in the Finger Lakes....and it does NOT disappoint! To name a few:-Views from the porch...you can't beat it.-SUPER clean.-EVERYTHING you need is there.-GREAT communication from the owner. We cannot say enough nice things about this place! We hope to be back!

Hidden Gem - Highly Recommend!

The property is amazing! The pictures of the water fall on the property does not do it justice. I could have laid in the hammock watching the water fall the entire day! HUGE patio with the most amazing view of the lake. Fire pit, game room, enclosed porch to watch the sun rise! Bedding was comfortable, linens and towels were plush. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Kitchen had everything we needed. Highly recommend this house. Owner is super nice, I reached out about checking in at 2pm and he said just text me the day of and I'll check with the cleaners, if they are done, I would be able to. Cleaners are great, the house was very clean. Rent this house, it is amazing!!

Perfect getaway

We had the best time here. We stayed for a long weekend and it was perfect for our group. They had all the amenities you could need and were very responsive when we reached out. The view is beautiful and is a perfect location. It is also walking distance from the tiki bar that also has jet ski and boat rentals. Would definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay. Loved the lake view and spent time in the evening sitting outside. Location was very convenient to the park and town. Neighborhood was quiet and mattresses were comfortable. Only issue we had is that it was a bit hot while we were there and the air conditioning upstairs just doesn’t do enough to cool the rooms.

Nice property

We were very please with the house. It was clean and well equipped. The upstairs TV had issues with connecting to the internet but over it is a really nice place! The location is very close to the town and the views are beautiful.

Perfect location

From the beautiful sunrises to relaxing on the deck overlooking Seneca Lake, everything was perfect! The location was convenient to Watkins Glen with so much to do nearby. The waterfall and game room were a big hit. Stunning view of the lake from the ADK chairs up there too. Kitchen was well stocked with all we needed. Wonderful place for a fantastic girls weekend, thank you!

Girls Weekend Getaway

Great house great location for our girls trip getaway. Patio and view was our favorite spot for sipping wine after a day of going to the wineries. Updated nicely all the amenities. Will come again!

We really loved this place. It was clean, convenient to Watkins Glen, and wineries. It was very private. The deck was wonderful to hang out on, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. Had a great time. Will definitely be back. We had no problem with the driveway that the listing did point out but do heed their warning.

Nice weekend trip

Very clean inside, and conveniently located close to town. It is fairly spacious inside and provided needed items. However, the driveway requires a lot of work. Also, front view from deck includes construction scene, junky looking boat and a front stairway overgrown with weeds. I have used VRBO for many trips, and would consider this property overpriced.

My husband and I along with another couple stayed here in the fall. It was perfect for what we were looking for. The views are beautiful as well as the home. The only thing to keep in mind is (as described in the description) bring an SUV. Even during the fall, I think a sedan may bottom out going up the driveway. My SUV made it no problem though!

Beautiful spot!

Our group has of 6 had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property! The house was very clean and comfortable with plenty of room for everyone. The deck is fantastic- big and has a gorgeous view of the lake. There’s a great little game room by the fire pit and waterfall, which was very pretty. Our contact for the house was very responsive to questions. We enjoyed some hiking at the state park, a great dinner at Stonecat, a trolley wine tour, and grilling out for a dinner. Kitchen had everything we needed. Overall it was an awesome time and we highly recommend this house!

Gorgeous views of the lake

The location on Seneca Lake was fabulous. Watkins Glen is a nice town with shops and restaurants. The wine trail around the lake was enjoyable. Wagner winery was my favorite. The view of Seneca Lake is amazing, the enclosed porch overlooks the lake as does the deck. Added bonus is the waterfall on the property , fire pit and game shed (which has shuffleboard, foosball and Pac-Man).The house is renovated with a nicely stocked kitchen. The stairs upstairs is steep. My husband and I slept in the main level bedroom which is the smallest of the 3. The 1st floor bathroom is renovated but the sink is extremely tiny. The upstairs bedrooms and bath is more spacious.The driveway is very steep, and there is metal debris which distracts from the beauty of this property. We just overlooked the mess. I don’t think it is part of their land.Overall I highly recommend this clean, beautiful property. We had a great time!

Lovely lakeside getaway

Had a lovely stay at Elsie’s Cottage! The house is beautifully kept and clean, and consistent with photos in the listing. The spacious deck has beautiful views of the lake, and plenty of seating. The house is located a few minutes from downtown Watkins Glen, offering a multitude of choices for dining out, coffee, and ice cream. Would stay again!
