Summary:
Renovated 3 bd flat with soaring ceilings and wood floors throughout. Updated open kitchen and living room create a comfortable place for all guests to relax in. All beds have spa quality Comphy sheets. The walls are adorned with local art, and outside is the shared courtyard oasis, boasting outdoor dining, projection screen for movies, and lounge chairs. Great place to enjoy a cocktail before exploring the city for an evening or lounging during the day. Come enjoy this urban inner city oasis!
The Space:
The house is a 4 plex, two long term tenants downstairs and two short term rentals upstairs. This unit is upstairs and the house as its own private entrance. There are 3 bedrooms that are shot-gunned. Shot-gunned is a distinctly New Orleans style of house that means you need to walk through each bedroom to get to the next, each room does have closing doors between. The living room and kitchen are open concept and the kitchen has been fully renovated if you to cook meals at home. There is a full fridge to hold all yummy leftovers you pick up while exploring the city.
The Neighborhood:
This home is located in the historic 7th Ward / New Marigny neighborhood. It is in the inner-city and a very urban setting. This diverse and vibrant neighborhood has lots of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. Close proximity to the French Quarter. That being said, the area is a transitional neighborhood with quite a few homes in the neighborhood that still have not been renovated since Hurricane Katrina.
Getting Around:
All street parking is free and first come first serve. Very quick Uber/Lyft ride to the French Quarter. You can catch the St. Claude street car line 5 blocks away at the corner of Elysian Fields and St. Claude. Lots of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. If you have a vehicle and street park please do not block any neighbors driveways.
Other Things to Note:
This home does contain a decibel monitoring device. The device is located in a common area and not in any bedroom or bathroom.
This property is all free street parking, please do not block any neighbors driveways. Also, there is a late-night bar across from the home that generates noise late and has some loitering on the weekends.
