You rent the whole house. It has 1260 square feet.
We are located on the lower side of Missionary Ridge. The battle of Missionary Ridge was fought here on Nov. 26, 1863. The Confederates camped in the very spot where this house was built in 2016. There is wheelchair access and an empty lot next door for overflow parking. We are pet friendly and have a nice fenced in yard. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining room with a washer and dryer in the kitchen. Comfy furniture and soft beds for your sleeping pleasure. I furnish toiletries and breakfast. Downtown Chattanooga is only 2 miles away. Across the street we have Shuffleboard, Horse Shoes, Picnic table with a grill and a Bocce Court. The garden on the next tear up was on the Hamilton County Master Gardener's Show in 2013. Walk through the garden, enjoy the views of Chattanooga, and sit down by the Mermaid Fountain with goldfish, and let your worries disappear.

Tammy Hass purchased this House in 2016
Why Tammy Hass chose Missionary Ridge

Fabulous Family Fun
We had a wonderful stay and thoroughly enjoyed the playground and games that Tammy provided. My son is now a cornhole champ. The location was very convenient to the river area, Rock City, and all the touristy things we wanted to do. It was our first VRBO experience, but it will not be our last. This was a wonderful place for our family to rejuvenate after our long days adventuring.
Lovely Home and Easy Drive to Downtown Attractions
We had a great stay in this home...two adults, four kids, and one dog. It was probably the cleanest VRBO where I have ever stayed. The drive to downtown attractions was easy. The whole process for booking, check in, and check out went smoothly. The immediate neighborhood does not have a lot to offer so just know that you will need to go downtown or to other areas of the city for restaurants and such. This was not a problem for us because we were exploring those areas anyway. Our kids also enjoyed the swingset and walking through the owner's beautiful garden. I would definitely stay here again.
Thank you! I am thrilled you enjoyed your stay. The house was well taken care of..your dog was so gorgeous. Sorry you had to go back to the cold weather. See you next time!
Cozy and family friendly
My family enjoyed our stay in Gray Gables especially my 7 y/o daughter. Tammy was a great host, she thought of everything that you'll be needing when on vacation. We really do appreciate all the extra goodies she gave us. We've been traveling a lot and this is the first time that we actually meet our host , so this tells you something about the owner. Tammy really wants her guests to be comfortable and feel that they're really at home . The playground across the street and the scooter was a hit for my daughter. The house location was great too, short drive to every attractions or sight seeing around Chattanooga. My daughter especially likes the "No Rules " just enjoy on the chalkboard. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful house. Highly recommended!
Maria, Thanks for the wonderful review! I really enjoyed meeting all the family. It was really interesting listening to Bridgett talk about her travels and the details she remembered. Hope you had fun in the Mountains and a fun trip home! Thanks for booking my house maybe I will see you another time!! I would recommended Maria and any of her family members. Great Family!
One of the Best!
We have stayed in many different homes over the years, but this was one of the best. Tammy was wonderful to work with. The house was spotlessly clean. I would insist on staying here again on my next visit to Chattanooga. 5 Stars!!!!
Edward, I am so glad you stayed at Gray Gables. You should have the tablet by Tuesday sent regular mail. Sorry I didn't get to meet you....you did not whatever I caught! Hope your interview went well! Next time I hope to have the privilege of meeting all of the family. Thumbs up for a do-over! Thanks
Six Thumbs Up For Gray Gables And The Porch Swing
Our group of six friends traveled from Minnesota to Chattanooga to run the local marathon and half marathon. We were lucky enough to find Gray Gables through VRBO. It suited our needs perfectly for a long weekend of fun. All necessities were present beyond our expectations. Host Tammy was incredibly flexible and accommodating. (Not to mention a very cool person!) Tammy has clearly made a great effort to make this place your home away from home. One of our number was an amateur ornithologist. Within five minutes of walking in the lovely back yard, she had identified eight different bird species. Sitting on the front porch swing to enjoy the mild March weather (compared to Minnesota) was especially bucolic. We would love to stay here again for a future trip.
Gosh, it got cold again after you left! So glad to have all of you, and would be happy to have you stay again when the next marathon is in town! Your ornithologist told me about some of the birds that were native here and not where she lived. I enjoyed talking to her. I like to feed them and listen to their songs. Stay warm! Tammy
This property was exceptional, in so many ways. Everything was new and clean. We will be back!!
We have stayed at many VRBOs and Tammy is definitely the best host yet. Every little thing was already taken care of, the House was cozy for a family and immaculate. This would be a perfect home for a family with small children (since Tammy provides half of the equipment you normally end up having to pack). However, it would be fine for an older couple too (no steps). The gardens and all the specials touches were fabulous, plus there is a great view of the skyline. We will definitely be coming back and have even referred some friends who plan to stay there next month.
Katie, I absolutely enjoyed having you, John, the kids and of course Baby! I am so glad you loved it are going to come back and visit Chattanooga! Come back when the garden is in full bloom. I was so glad to see that your children were active outside! You do not see that much. I can tell that you are both very supportive parents! Kuddos!! See you next time. Peppy says paws up to Baby!
