Charlie's Treehouse is a beautiful Craftsman home with a large welcoming front porch overlooking beautiful grounds and a koi pond. It has the right amount of privacy to feel like you are truly in a treehouse, with visions of the lake and dock from the home. It is truly an incredibly unique and inviting property and a wonderful place to stay with your family and friends!

The main level holds an open living room with gas fireplace, large flat screen TV (w/Roku) and built-in bookcases which house all the classic novels you could ever imagine! There is a great reading nook that faces the lake or enjoy your morning coffee (or wine) and watch the wildlife on the property and take in the lake views. The well-stocked kitchen has a custom full-length island and built-in breakfast nook. There are 2 large dining areas: one inside and one outside on the deck overlooking the property. There are 2 bedrooms on the main level: the master bedroom has a king bed, large closet, and an on-suite full bathroom with walk-in shower. The secondary bedroom also has a king bed with a large walk-in closet. A full bathroom with tub and shower combo is down the hall, and the laundry room with full sized washer and dryer complete the main floor.

The lower level has an additional bedroom (2 sets of bunk beds), and a full bathroom. Family room, with queen pullout sleeper sofa, is stocked with 700 DVDs, a large flat screen TV (with Roku), plenty of board games and playing cards. Extra fridge located on the lower level as well. Both lower rooms have access to a massive flagstone covered patio with a wood burning fire-pit area, sitting area and a paver walkway that leads to the secluded hot tub.

Follow the paver pathway down to the deep-water cove and dock which has a party deck, dock house, a large floating dock for boat tie-up, a large stationary dock, and a covered boat slip with lift for a pontoon boat (4000lb max). There is a fridge and freezer in the dock house with a Bose speaker to play music; just bring your own aux cord to plug in your phone and stream your favorite tunes. The party dock has dining furniture and a conversational sitting area with magnificent views of the mountain and cove. There are additional chairs and loungers for the lower stationary dock, and 2 paddleboards and 4 kayaks available for use.

If you are placing your reservation thru VRBO or one of the Expedia channels and your anticipated visit is more than 90 days away, you will see 2 separate charges within 72 hours of placing your booking. CANCELLATION POLICY: If a reservation is cancelled with at least 90 days prior notice, 1/2 of the pre-paid rental payment will be refundable. If a reservation is cancelled within 90 days of your arrival date, no refunds will be issued. Notice of cancellation must be in writing, email is acceptable. Be sure to reference the rented property name and dates you had intended to visit.

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: No one under the age of 25 may make a reservation. There must be one adult at least 25 years of age occupying the property. That qualifying person must provide payment via credit card for the rental deposit and is responsible for the leased property.

MOUNTAIN VIEW SHORES is a lovely development with many year-round homes, it features a private boat ramp area where you may park your boat trailer for the duration of your stay. It has paved roads and central water system. Ideal for walkers and joggers. Lake location is supreme being near the mountain and the dam at the deepest, cleanest part of the lake. The land was originally owned by the Appalachian Power Company (which owns the lake) and a group of 10 investors from Bedford bought the land from the Power Company in the late 1970's and developed the subdivision comprised of over 400 lots, offering the land for sale one section per year, selling out in 4 years.
