This 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom private single family home is a sweet surprise just off Duval St. It's a breath of fresh air as you escape reality and bask in the tranquility of the tropics. Tucked away on a vibrant lane just a stone's throw to all the desirable destinations, this island retreat offers the ultimate serenity.
***GUESTS MUST BE 25 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER

DETAILS & AMENITIES...
A bright and cheery greeting from this saltwater abode welcomes you as you step into your slice of Paradise. Sink down into the cozy sectional in the Great Room area with a flat screen TV for movie nights. The kitchen comes fully equipped and offers a bar area for 4 so you can whip up your favorite cocktails and snacks before heading out on the town. A washer/dryer is available.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS...
Move upstairs to the king bedroom room which is outfitted with clean, crisp linens, a flat screen TV and access to an outdoor balcony to soak up your peaceful surroundings. Steps away is a bathroom with a shower to wash off the sea and sand. A sofa sleeper resides in the Great Room for additional sleeping convenience.

OUTDOOR LIVING...
Enjoy lounging out on your private back deck in the island breeze with good conversation and not a worry in the world. Grill up your fresh catch on the outdoor grill and dine al fresco followed by a peaceful swing in the hammock beneath the stars. This island gem is perfectly located for walking or riding your bike downtown to all the local galleries, bars and restaurants and is just minutes to the sandy beaches of Key West!

Dogs are permitted but no cats please. A pet fee is required.

This home does not have designated parking. There is limited street parking as guests may only park in spaces that are unmarked and not those marked as "Residential Permit." There is also a pay lot at the corner of United and Duval (3 blocks away).

I think the place is a bit outdated for the price. The bathroom is EXTREMELY to small, especially the toilet area, we were elbow to elbow at 175 pounds.Peaceful area though. Cleaning has been neglected in most areas as well.

The lack of parking really sucked, but the house was great. Definitely could use a bathroom down stairs. Place was clean and close to everything we needed.

The property was physically as advertized, but the private outdoor space is not secure. A landscape maintenance crew accessed the back yard area without announcing itself or knocking on the door to ask permission. Even though the back yard was closed off and behind a latched gate. Anyone can get back there as it is not secured, so its not safe. Furthermore, there are no window treatments on the glass doors to the yard/deck area, so whoever accesses it can see right into your private indoor space, which is very small with no place to hide. Fortunately when the landscape crew entered my wife and I were both dressed. Given the very small indoor space, without securing the gates to the deck/backyard area and without window treatments (apparently removed to make the in space seem larger by visually opening it up to the outside space - the hardware remains in the walls) the privacy and safety of the unit is suspect.When I called the representative, she was defensive, and asked me to look at the provided paperwork to check the day of the week the landscaping crew is scheduled, as if such a blatant invasion of privacy is justified by writing on a page. According to the paperwork, landscaping is scheduled for Saturday, and this matter happened on a Tuesday. But whatever. I found the representative to be defensive and sanctimonious about these matters. I would caution anyone from renting this otherwise very nice but small unit until these safety and privacy issues are resolved.

The bath Room is quite closely The only thing, which could be improved is the water pressure in the sower. This is very low. Decent but things to consider before booking

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is in an ideal location right off Duval Street where you can essentially just park your car and walk almost everywhere. Parking is quite hefty on the street (about $100 a day if you can’t find alley parking that is not residential parking). There’s some issues though with the Rum Bar being directly next to the home, there were multiple mornings we were woken up at 5am from the sound of glass being collected and dumped - over and over until they were done. You can hear anything that is happening right outside the doors / on the street and you can imagine a collection unit for glass right outside our doors woke everyone up every time. The stairs of the unit were honestly not super safe, we are in our early 30s and relatively healthy and had a couple almost-incidents going up and down so make sure to hold onto the rail. Definitely do not recommend for older adults, people with ambulation issues, or even families with children. There were some smaller issues like towels had small brown stains on them and such but not as important. Toilet area is pretty small so if you are a larger body habitus it may not be the most comfortable. The sofa bed was definitely not comfortable and recommend just sleeping on the sofa itself instead. The photos on the website did look a bit more aesthetically pleasing than in reality and definitely made the outdoor patio look more spacious in the photos. The last thing that I will say is that you will need to be very careful around the outside area of the home, right when we arrived a member of our family stepped on a nail that went right through her shoe and in her foot outside the unit. Thankfully did not break skin. There is quite a bit of small shards of glass on the alley so for pets not paw pad friendly. Otherwise, the AC functioned great, the property manager was communicative and professional, bed was comfortable, it was nice that they have streaming services like YouTube TV for their guests. A great spot with an adorable outdoor space!

KK’s was in a great location, steps from Duval, but was surprisingly quiet (well, if you don't count the roosters). The patio was a lovely place to have coffee in the morning, and the owner/prop manager couldn't have been more accommodating, letting us check in a little early. It's a great place!!!

Awesome Location

With this proximity to duval, you cant go wrong. Bathroom was a little tight for but I'm 6'3" 275 lol. Great spot would stay again.

Kate’s Krawl review

Shana was great. She responded quickly to any question/request, even had a new washing machine delivered when I reported that the old one was not working. FYI, WiFi was weak, & we had difficulty maintaining internet connection. Although we were aware of the expectation that we were responsible for removing the bed linens, this was difficult to accept. We have travelled over several decades staying at very basic places to high end accommodations. We have never been asked to strip the linens. In addition to a very high daily rate for this property we paid 250 for exit cleaning. Stripping linens is part of basic cleaning and should have been your responsibility—- not ours. We honored those exit instructions to avoid the implied threat of additional charges. But we did not leave with a positive feeling about Kate’s Krawl.

Short trip to Key West

Just off Duvall but quiet at night. Bed was fabulous. WiFi was spotty upstairs. Great location for seeing the sights in Key West.

My stay at Kate's Krawl was fantastic! The house was exactly as described—perfect for a long weekend getaway. The location off Duval Street couldn’t have been better, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and entertainment. It was the ideal spot for a relaxing and convenient Key West experience. A lovely little condo in the center of it all.

Clean, well-maintained and nicely furnished, this little gem off Duval puts you within walking distance of many great restaurants and shops, and just a short bike ride for anything else Key West has to offer. One caveat: the toilet, located upstairs, is ensconced in a very narrow recess (less than 24" wide). A large man or plus-sized person might find it extremely difficult to use. Other than that, this property is just perfect, and the management team are a pleasure to work with.
