We're pleased to offer you 'Utter East'! Tucked off of a quiet side street in the middle of the island, this home features everything you'd need for a wonderful, relaxing vacation. If you love outdoor space, you'll love the huge screened porch, expansive decks, and beautifully landscaped fire pit sitting area on the pond. Inside the home, downstairs you'll find the living room, an additional den/family room, eat-in kitchen, dining room, two bedrooms and a full bathroom. Upstairs features two more bedrooms and another full bathroom. Don't delay; this home will book quickly! Amazingly spacious, beautifully decorated yet simple and inviting, and delightfully stocked with useful, enjoyable extras - loved the rich & varied book collection, and would have wished for more time just to curl up with multiple favorites there! Appreciated the binocs, puzzles & games, sound system, the multiple spacious indoor & outdoor seating areas, etc. Our 10-person, 2-family group greatly enjoyed our stay. Thanks to all who made it so lovely & restful.

Loved this house. one of nicest we have stayed in. Nicely decorated, plenty of room, nice view from screened porch. Plenty of seating. Kitchen well stocked. Lots of plates, glasses, silverware.AC worked well. Would definitely rent again!

July 2022 Stay

Utter East was a great vacation house for the 7 of us this year. Aside from being back on the island (we were in Captain's Cove last year), the screened-in porch was the biggest draw for me. I was everything I hoped it would be, and our family spent a lot of time out there playing games, reading, and sharing meals. The house itself, which was nicely decorated, had ample space to spread out as well. The only improvement I would make is to have blinds for the living room/sitting room windows that face the street for privacy at night. Overall, it's a great home , and we had a lovely stay.

Wonderful Beach House

We Will Be Back!

We absolutely loved our stay at The Utter East! This home was beautifully furnished, clean, comfortable, and convenient for our family of six. We had plenty of room to spread out and relax and also enjoy time together as a family. We really enjoyed the enormous outdoor screened porch and fire pit. Location was perfect - on a quiet street with lots of trees and privacy, close to our favorite eating places and Assateague entrance. We will definitely be back!

Smiles all around

We found this little gem at the last minute- and what a strike of luck. The location was great. There was plenty of room for two parents and three young adults, ages 20- 18-17. The young ones request the Roku PIN be made available. We had to link up a laptop for our Mama Mia night 😊 Bug spray is a must. We had plenty of extras such as laundry detergent, hand soap, dish soap and paper products. We loved our time at Utter East and hope to return next year.

Lovely getaway rental with very thoughtful owners!

We had a lovely weekend at Utter East. Although the house is in a neighborhood, you can look out the back and not see any other houses! The pond out back is lovely (but be sure to bring bug repellant with DEET!) and the firepit and firewood are a super-relaxing touch. Other thoughts: * The kitchen is small but well-equipped. * The owners of the house have a label maker and aren't afraid to use it - it was very easy to know which switches did what. Labeling the remotes was another nice touch. * There are a few shelves with a lovely variety of books, a cabinet with a selection of jigsaw puzzles, and a few other amusements. * We really enjoyed the decor in the house. It is comfortable and cheerful. There is ample comfortable seating, and the mattresses are in good shape! My 12-year-old son is already demanding that we return to Utter East for next summer's beach trip!

Started out camping then progressed to renting homes for the week for the last 10 or so years. Our children (4) are all adults now, so it is becoming more difficult to find a rental home to accommodate 10 adults. Utter East was perfect. From the fire pit to the screened in porch in quiet neighborhood. We had a fantastic time, first time in 5 years I woke up on fathers day with all my children, a true blessing. The home was perfect and just as described.

All nine of us were very comfortable. My favorite pastime was sitting in the screened in porch with the fan on, reading, listening to the bird calls and looking at the pond in the backyard. The adults, the teens all enjoyed staying here. One of the kids said, “I’m going to miss this place.” The staff was very responsive anytime we had a question. We will stay there again!

Nicely situated on the Island with a perfect 3 mile loop for us to run in the morning! Plenty of room with a huge couch in the living area that the whole family could stretch out on with room to spare. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bedrooms are small but who cares! Our philosophy is bedrooms are for the beds, which were very comfortable. We don't hang out in there- that's what the beach is for. My only hesitation in recommending this place is that everyone else is going to want to rent it and we want to keep it a secret for us!!! Hope its available next time we go!

This home is set up so comfortably the entire family was able to relax together enjoying family time. The screened in porch with giant table made it perfect for all of us to relax and play games after dinner. Wonderful Family Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: After an intense year full of ups and downs due to the worldwide pandemic, we couldn't wait to escape to the beach together as a family. Utter East was the perfect getaway with plenty of space for our young family of 5. The home was very clean, well appointed, conveniently located and comfortable. We enjoyed eating our meals on the porch, roasting marshmallows around the fire pit and spotting wildlife! Only suggestion would be to hang some type of window blinds in the living room to avoid the "fishbowl feel" in the evenings. But great otherwise! Can't wait to return next year!
