North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Living space The open, light-filled interior carries the character of classic Creole architecture while delivering the comfort of a fully renovated home. The living room centers around a 50-inch HDTV with Netflix and Roku - perfect for a quiet night in after a long day on the streets of New Orleans. A dedicated workspace with a door gives you a proper setup if you need to get anything done between adventures.
Sleeping arrangements Two bedrooms are fitted with plush beds, quality linens, and room-darkening shades that make it easy to sleep in after a late night out. The layout works well for two couples, a family, or a group of friends who want their own space without sacrificing togetherness.
Kitchen & dining The kitchen is built for guests who actually want to cook. A GE gas stove, GE single oven, Maytag refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, drip coffee maker, toaster, and baking sheet are all here. Cooking basics - pots, pans, oil, salt, and pepper - are stocked, along with dishes, silverware, and a freezer. Pull a plate together and take it out to the balcony for a meal that feels very New Orleans.
Outdoor living The private balcony is one of the highlights of this unit - a spot to ease into the morning with coffee or wind down in the evening with a drink in hand. Outdoor furniture is set up and ready, and the neighborhood gives you plenty to watch from up above.
Practical details An in-unit washer and dryer, central air conditioning, central heating, and a ceiling fan keep daily life comfortable. The home is secured with a smart lock for self check-in, and a safe is available for valuables. Extras like hangers, bed linens, an iron, and clothing storage are provided. A bathtub, hair dryer, and Ecorite bath products round out the bathroom. Exterior security cameras are present on the property to confirm compliance with the four-guest limit. A pack 'n play/travel crib and folding high chair are available upon request for families traveling with little ones, and babysitter recommendations can be provided. The property is pet-friendly, and free street parking is available outside.
Location Mid-City is one of New Orleans' most livable neighborhoods - and this unit puts you steps from the Canal Streetcar, your direct link to the French Quarter, Mardi Gras parade routes, music venues, po'boy joints, and local cafés. The Lafitte Greenway is nearby for a morning walk or bike ride, and the surrounding streets are lined with the kind of bars and eateries that make this city so hard to leave.

From arrival to departure our stay was an excellent experience. This Mid-City home was the perfect location to enjoy everything from the French Quarter, Garden District, etc, plus the local Mid-City restaurants and Trader Joe's. It was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Not to mention the wonderful host who was a great communicator and attentive! Highly recommend!

Great stay
Great little upper level unit with comfy beds. Easy to navigate car to the Quarter. Never struggled to find parking. Kitchen is a little sparse, but why cook when you have so many delicious restaurants to choose from?
