What a cute house with an awesome front porch view of the river . The house itself was very comfortable with nice bedding and cutely decorated living quarters . We walked the entire area admiring the well kept older homes , and nearness to restaurants . Would recommend to anyone !

Wonderful Quaint Neighborhood

We staying in this house for the weekend to spend time with our daughter in boarding school nearby. It is a beautiful house in a quit neighborhood with a nice view of the water from the front porch.

Perfect for a weekend getaway

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at the Compass Rose. The house is beautifully appointed, with spacious and comfortable bedrooms, spa-like bathrooms, and a great kitchen and living quarters. Everything was thoughtfully provided for, and we enjoyed the ever-changing views of the Rappahannock from the living room. The neighborhood setting is lovely and very quiet. We hope to return someday for another visit!

Absolutely the best place to stay in Urbanna!!! View of the water, some simple condiments available to make your stay easy, coffee, tea, basic pantry items, shampoo….Great host! So comfortable! Stayed here many times and it is always clean. See you soon!! 10++++

What a great time. The house is perfect - 10+, clean, cozy and charming! Perfect location walk into town but steps to the park and the water. Views of the Bay out the windows! Awesome host. I already have booked for my return trip!!!

Family getaway

This is a lovely home, and the owner Kevin responded most helpfully to our numerous questions. His Compass Rose home is set up strategically to allow both our son and his family and us to spread out very comfortably. giving lots or room to relax The home is located in a pleasant area close to the water within walking distance to the restaurants in town. We were adventurous and tried some other restaurants in neighboring towns and highly recommend Adrift and Merroir as well as the Chesapeake Donut Company. Our day trips to Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, and Yorktown Beach were very pleasant, and we enjoyed the Schooner sailboat trip in Yorktown very much.

Dreamy cottage

It was our first trip to Urbanna. Our trip was relaxing from the beginning, starting with the joy of seeing this sweet cottage that is even prettier in person, if that's possible. The owners have put such care and attention to details that make a visitor feel at home...tasteful and comfortable furnishings, well-stocked kitchen, a spa-quality shower, places to sit and enjoy the flower gardens on a screened porch or on the front porch swing with a view of the river, seeing the occasional bikers riding down the street and listening to the many birds. We were welcomed at the various shops and relaxed later by the water at a marina during happy hour and had a delicious dinner. Kevin was very courteous and prompt in returning our call when we had a question. Just might be something in the air there that makes everyone so pleasant. Can't wait to return!

Well appointed & Charming Cottage

Lovely, updated cottage with great amenities. Master bedroom & bath are five star. Owner very responsive with excellent communication. Cottage has a good view of the river & located in middle of town. Highly recommend.
