The cottage is two apartments so some of our party (the early risers who like to play video games in the morning) were downstairs while the quieter folks were upstairs. This worked really well for us. The cottage was super clean and comfortable. The lake is not far away and we loved exploring for interesting rocks and sea glass. Would definitely recommend.

What a gorgeous place! The photos don’t show just how stunning the 180 degree views are. It’s off the beaten track, but was so worth it. We happened to arrive during the Kitchen Fest Ceilidh week, and had so much fun going to Celtic music gatherings. The property has a special side porch with light windows you can raise or lower & screens, so we could enjoy the view in any weather. The secluded beach nearby was just amazing. Thanks Kevin & team!

Lobster house exceeded our expectations. A beautiful home with an even more beautiful view. We hope to return here the next time we venture to Cape Breton. Kevin was great with responding to messages and he even sent a message about some happenings in the area that we ended up attending and had a wonderful time. I highly recommend staying here

This property was a beautiful location and comfortable ,spacious home for family reunions. The weather co-operated with us and most of our day light hours were spent outside conversing on the deck while watching the geese land on the front lawn. We had a visit from a humming bird , a bald eagle and a parasailer who landed in the front field.The drive to the beach was just 3 minutes up the road but be cautious as there are some deep potholes.Print your directions and note your keylock number ahead of time as we lost our satellite signal and had to call our host to resend .He responded immediately and allayed my anxiety..The beds were comfortable and the quiet promoted an excellent nights sleep.We look forward to returning in the future.

What an absolutely beautiful home on a stunning piece of property. The view of the Bras d’or Lakes might be one of the most breathtaking in all of Cape Breton. We were delighted to see that the home was also one of the cleanest homes that my husband and I have ever stayed in. The owner, Kevin, was incredibly helpful and a joy to communicate with. He provided us with a welcome guide prior to our arrival that answered every possible question a guest might have regarding their stay. Once we arrived, we were amazed by the sheer volume of amenities that he had made available to us. Kevin had truly thought of everything one might possibly need to relax and make themselves feel at home. The house has enough beds for 12 people to sleep in, two full bathrooms, and two full kitchens spread across two floors, making it an ideal location for extended family get-togethers or multi-family trips. Though we only left this morning, my husband and I are already considering making a trip to this home an annual event. If this spot is available, don’t hesitate to book it!

Amazing property in a wonderful location!

We loved our stay in Cape Breton and Kevin's property was exactly what we needed to accommodate extended family, a 1 year old and our dogs. The location was beautiful with a lot of things to do and see nearby!

It was the perfect weekend get away for a group of 5. Super clean, lots of space, a beautiful view and just a quick walk to the beach. The screened in porch was amazing! Very responsive host. i would highly recommend :)

Great spot to discover Cape Breton

The house is well located in Cape Breton for day trips to do the Cabot Trail and go discover Baddeck, Louisbourg, Sydney and many other nice areas. We were 7, using both floors, and the setup was perfect.

One of the best places we’ve stayed at!

Beautiful location and perfect amount of room for our two families of four. Owner was very pleasant and super helpful with any questions we had. We would 1000% stay here again! The two practically private beaches were close and beautiful. We saw some amazing wildlife including eagles and jellyfish! The sea glass has made such a great souvenir :)

Fishing & Exploring with Family

Squeaky clean property with an amazing view on a quiet street. Our group of five loved the home’s layout - places to be quiet, places to gather, and TWO kitchens equipped extremely well. Kevin’s home is very welcoming and we all highly recommend.

Couldn’t be any better

The Lobster House was one of the best places we have ever stayed. We had both units for our 3 day weekend and everyone was happy with the spacious layout, amenities and the most beautiful views. We can honestly say this place was perfect for us. Kevin is a top notch host and was always super responsive.

Lobster House Family Reunion

Our family planned a reunion in Cape Breton (one of our kids live there). The Lobster House was the perfect venue with lots of space for everyone to hang out and roam around. Our host Kevin was amazing! It was our first time renting through Vrbo and it was a great experience.

A little piece of beauty and tranquility

This house is the perfect location to use as a base to travel throughout Cape Breton. It is well equipped, comfortable and has unbeatable views! Perfect place to unwind at the end of a day out with a great deck and sun porch with views of both the sunset and the sunrise. We loved it! Thank you Kevin!

Motorcycle trip to Nova Scotia

When we return to Nova Scotia. My group will be staying at Kevin's house again. What a wonderful sun rise and sun set and the view is so beautiful. Kevin will make sure you have everything you need for the week and more.
