Shorely, this is a true outdoor paradise!

Originally a waterman's cottage, Neavitt Cottage has been tastefully updated (super fast wifi!) while maintaining its original charm and character. Located along Balls Creek, which branches off the Choptank River, Neavitt Cottage's location in the quaint village of Neavitt provides a peaceful and quiet country setting, yet is just minutes away from all that St. Michael's has to offer.

Enjoy crabbing, fishing, kayaking, boating, and sunset views off the new dock or have land based fun playing cornhole in the expansive backyard. The large screened in back porch is the perfect place to relax or enjoy your summer crab feast and has unobstructed views of the water.

The sandy beach offers an easy kayak launch and kids will love to explore the shoreline. Bald eagles, herons, osprey, and all sorts of waterfowl make the creek their home and you can get up close and personal on a quiet kayak ride, 2 dual person kayaks are included for your use, so please bring your lifejackets!

The house is also fully stocked with board games, puzzles, and books for those quiet summer days. This is the perfect spot to make lasting memories with your family and friends while enjoying the Eastern Shore lifestyle!

Neavitt Cottage offers an open floor plan featuring 2 first floor bedrooms and open kitchen, dining, and living areas. Two additional bedrooms and a full bathroom are upstairs. Talbot County STR License ST-643-DER

PROPERTY FEATURES:

Waterfront: Balls Creek
Dock: Private dock with 3.5' MLW, fish cleaning table, multiple water and 120V electrical hookups. Guests may tie a boat to the dock.
Water Toys: 2 dual kayaks are available for guest use. To ensure proper life jacket sizing, please bring your own or we can recommend a local rental agency.
Outdoor Toys: Cornhole is available for guest use.
Grill: Propane grill. Propane is provided.
Fireplace: Wood fireplace is available for guest use. Wood is NOT provided.
Pet Policy: Pets are not permitted.
WiFi: Reliably fast (good for 6-8 people or up to 10 devices)

Wonderful late summer vacation!

We loved our family time in Neavitt! Everything was “as advertised”, the weather was great and the seafood delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful Retreat

Well appointed home, accurately reflected in the photos. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Close proximity to town with great shops and restaurants. We loved our stay.

What a gem we found in the quaint town of Neavitt. We had our own private dock with views of the water. The house was cozy and perfect for a long weekend getaway located near so close to St.Michaels and Tilghman’s Island. We can’t wait to come back!

This was a lovely home in a very quiet neighborhood. Check in was easy and we found everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the large screened in porch. The fans (ceiling and standing) were life savers during our very hot/humid part of the week.

Vacation to remember

We had the BEST time together relaxing and enjoying the views of this property. The dock was perfect for coffee and morning sunrises, fishing, crabbing, and plain old fun for our kids. Our pup had an amazing time swimming right off the beach. The house was clean, and comfortable and everything we had hoped for!

Lovely long weekend

We stayed during New Years 2022 and had a great time. Well decorated space with a great dock for yoga on the water. Walked St. Michaels, dinner at Perry Cabin and lots of board games. Perfect family getaway.

Great getaway

The house was clean and the outside porch was amazing. Beautiful dock where the kids spent a lot of time fishing. The drive from downtown was ~12 mins. We all enjoyed a few days away. Thanks!

Relaxing on the Eastern Shore

Property was just as advertised. The inside was lovely but the highlight was definitely the screened in porch looking out over the water. Everyone we ran into on our nightly walks was super friendly. The whole family enjoyed going into St Michaels for dinner and the maritime museum was really special. At the end of the week, everyone wanted to stay longer.

Beautiful home that had a well stocked kitchen. The linens provided were really nice and towels were plentiful. We brought our 28 foot boat and had no problem tying her up to the new dock. the pier

Wonderful property

We had a great time at Neavitt Cottage. The house was exactly as the listing stated and was more than we could have hoped for. St. Michael's was only a 10 minute ride away and offered all the shops and restaurants you could want. The property has a dock and we rented a kayak (which they delivered right to the house) which was a great way to enjoy the waterfront. Highly recommend!
