We had a marvellous stay. The house had most things we needed and had plenty of space for us all. The property was clean and everything was well labelled. We were able to have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Thank you

Excellent

Now we know why its was consistently rated 5/5 ⭐️. Everything was as described with a few good surprises👍 Location was only around a 10 min drive to landmarks. Even the shower gel got my family raving! Will definitely book again when in the area!

Stunning home & convenient location

The place was great. The cleanest property I’ve stayed in. They think of everything from entertaining the kids with the games room, to coffee pods for the adults. Super convenient location. Close to all beaches, cafes and a stroll to Woolies. Beds are actually comfortable. Highly recommend. We will be back.

Loved our stay!

Stylish holiday house with convenient access to shops (woolworths, aldi). 10 mins drive to beaches. Rooms were spacious and modern, and clean. Kitchen was well equipped, high chair was provided along with kids cutlery which was very thoughtful. Rice cooker, air fryer, coffee machine were wonderful additions to the kitchen, all in impeccable condition. Owners Chris & Lynn were super responsive to any questions we had during our stay. Looking forward to staying at the property again.

Beautiful property, convenient location, perfect for families!

We had a fantastic stay here for a long weekend on the coast. The house is located a short drive to all the beautiful beaches in the area, close to shops and a lovely Thai and Fish and Chip shop. With plenty of space inside for a family, table tennis and games to keep the kids entertained, comfy beds and coaches and all the essentials you need to cook and clean, makes it an easy option to enjoy time in that beautiful area. The house is very clean, well maintained and beautifully styled. The hosts had great communications and left a very thoughtful welcome hamper! Highly recommend, we'll be back in the future for sure! Many thanks.

Exceptional property

Beautifully appointed, fresh and serene. Biggest oven I’ve ever cooked in!! Every detail has been thought of, right down to labels on the light switches so you aren’t fumbling about. I highly recommend this beautiful space, especially for a big family. ❤️

Exceptional property and location

We stayed at this property for 4 days over New Years. Check in was effortless and quick with no dramas. This property is unlike any holiday rental I’ve ever experienced, it has all the creature comforts you could ask from kitchen appliances to entertainment options. The cleanliness was 11/10. It’s location to beaches and shops is excellent, 5 min walk to the supermarket and 5min drive to the beach. It is managed superbly and would recommend to every and anyone . We hope to stay here again in the near future .

It was Home away from Home

Stayed at Serenity by the Bay for 3 nights with my family and my brother and his family. As soon as we walked in the property, we were wowed by the place. It was very clean, we loved the open kitchen, living and dining room space, very modern and very stylish (it looked like a display home!). The bedrooms are a good size and the beds comfortable. The kids loved sleeping on the bunk beds. Overall, it just had everything we needed and we felt very at home. The hosts did an amazing job. It was an easy check in, Chris and Lynn were always easy to contact and were quick to reply. Chris and Lynn had everything covered from having kids plates and cutlery, to the games room, amenities, a welcome pack of delicious goodies which we enjoyed and a helpful book that has everything from places to eat, to see, instructions on using key appliances etc. We enjoyed toasting marshmellows on the fire pit in the backyard and used the bikes there to explore the neighbourhood. Location was great, so close to the beaches, the national park, Woolworths was just down the road that you can walk there, close to town and plenty of nearby places to eat. After a day of exploring Jervis Bay and surroundings, it was so nice to come back to Serenity by the Bay! Thanks Chris and Lynn for a wonderful stay, we would love to come back. Highly recommend staying here especially for families.

Surveillance on property no visitor house

I would not recommend this property if you value privacy or reasonable communication with the host. While the home itself was clean and in a good location, the experience was marred by the owner’s absurd policies and lack of flexibility.We asked for permission to invite our parents in law (who were living nearby and we were days away from Christmas) over for dinner during our stay and were shocked when the host proposed to collect 1,000 for the gathering. (We had already fully paid for the property by that time.) This was completely unreasonable, especially since we weren’t planning a party or any kind of disruptive event.Additionally, there are surveillance cameras on the property, which made us feel like our privacy was constantly being breached. The owners knew exactly when we were home vs not home as they had eyes on us (we would have preferred to know this prior to booking the property). While we understand the need for security, the placement of these cameras felt intrusive and detracted from our ability to fully relax and enjoy the rental. To this day we are unsure whether the cameras also recorded audio. One of the cameras were placed close enough to the outdoor dining table to eavesdrop, even though it was not facing the table.Overall, I feel this property might work for someone who doesn’t mind rigid rules and constant monitoring, but it wasn’t the right fit for us. There are plenty of other rentals where you can feel more welcome and at ease.

Thank you for your feedback. We value all reviews as opportunities to improve, and while we appreciate your input, we need to address some inaccuracies and clarify the situation. Your reservation was for 9 guests, but 11 people stayed throughout your stay without prior registration. The additional guest fees of $400 remain unpaid. Additionally, unregistered visitors arrived unannounced, totalling 16. After discovering this, you requested to host a gathering, which we allowed as an exception under the condition that it would be brief and quiet. The claim that we requested $1,000 for this accommodation is false. The approved exterior front and side security cameras, clearly disclosed in the listing, are positioned in visible outdoor areas. They do not record audio and comply with regulations. Installed solely for security purposes, they verify guest arrival and departure, ensuring the safety of guests, the property, and the community. We respect both our guests’ privacy and our own, and they are not monitored during your stay. Unfortunately, your experience is an exception to the many positive experiences we’ve had. This could have been avoided with a clearer review of the listing and STR policies. We believe open, honest communication and mutual respect are key to creating a positive experience for all.
