Very secluded and loved the cabin. It was surrounded by beautiful trees. Loved how quiet it was. The house was great and very clean. Couldn’t use grills, they were super dirty, but wouldn’t say that would deter me. We will definitely be booking again!
Enjoyed the nice clean cabin and the privacy of the area. Our actual stay was from Sunday evening Oct5 through Wednesday morning Oct 8. I brought my two grandsons here to see Mammoth Cave and relax for fall break. We went to Kentucky Down Under and really enjoyed the animals and the cave tour. Your fire pit was a big hit with the boys and was arranged with safety in mind!! Thanks for a great stay!
Very quiet and private. Not too far from Mammoth Cave National Park. Good price.

Lovely cabin
We stayed here as our base for Mammoth Cave area activities. The cabin was well furnished and comfortable. We really enjoyed the fire pit and spent most of our time relaxing on the deck.
The stay was great! But the grill and flat top grill were incredibly dirty. The flat top was rusted over and the grill just did not look like something we wanted to cook on. There was also no washer detergent I’m not sure if there was supposed to be. But I would so stay here again!
My family came to here as a place to stay and get rest while visiting local sites & going to the 151st Kentucky Derby. It was perfect for coming home to after all the days rushful events. It would be a great place to come if you need to take a step away from everyday life and just be. Maybe next time that is what we will do.
Just wanted to get out of the big city and enjoy nature, caves and hikes. We did just that in the week we stood at this beautiful home and land. We will be coming again to enjoy that morning coffee in the deck.
Matched the listing very well. However? We were un aware of the hugggee motocross track next door which wad super loud but overall we had a. Amazing stay.
We came to Kentucky to getaway and to visit Mammoth Cave. We were able to do both during our stay- lots of catching up by the figure pit with s’mores and kids got to see the riders on the dirt bike track!
Very cool location that has everything you could need! We loved the fact that our dogs could run around and have a blast without anyone around to worry about. The beds were comfortable and the place is just adorable. Make sure you stock up on food/drinks before you go, the general store is a bit of a drive. Would recommend this cabin to anyone!
Nice, secluded spot. We saw deer and turkey every day. Very clean and neat. Needs somewhere to put clothes in the master bedroom (no closet or chest of drawers). 28 miles to Mammoth Visitor Center. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay

Beautiful Cabin
We truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful place! It was calm and peaceful. The house was very clean and well taken care of. It was very private and secluded. We didn’t mind traveling 30-40 minutes to restaurants and attractions. My one tip for pet owners is to make sure you treat your dogs from ticks before visiting - they are very active in this area. Also inspect your dog and yourself included after each walk.
Overall we were very pleased with our stay and definitely recommend this charming cabin to others.

Quick tip to anyone who travels with their pets during tick season- ticks are very active in this area, therefore I recommend treating your dogs or cats prior to visiting and also assessing them and yourself included after each walk.

Family with 2 kids
Very clean. Spacious. Has everything you could need. We loved the stay with our 2 kids. Comfortable beds. Great, open space. Room to run around and explore outside and/or build a fire. We stayed to visit Mammoth Cave and Kentucky Down Under and loved both. Fantastic time. The host checked in on us when we got there to make sure everything was in order, and I appreciate that. We'll definitely be back!
The king size bed wasn't comfortable for my husband, so we ended up in a queen bed. Would have liked more washcloths. Dog hair from previous renters got on our clothes from the couch. 2nd bathroom after taking a shower had an odor. Despite these issues, the cabin stay was nice.

Cozy retreat in the woods
We enjoyed the laid-back and remoteness of this location! The view and the deer and turkey population that came so close to the cabin are worth this stay alone. One evening we sat outside and saw 13 deer at one point and then the next morning we had over a dozen turkey. It was nice to be removed from the stress and the sounds of daily life and just be able to “relax“ for our short little vacation. The inside is OK and sufficient. Personally, I would’ve preferred things a little cleaner upon arrival. I did spend probably 5 to 10 minutes doing a little cleanup of the cabin when we arrived so we could use it. The outdoor grill and Blackstone that are provided are absolutely disgusting and I chose not to even attempt those. Instead, we just had things we could cook over the fire pit or eat as is. Again the view makes up for everything else. If you’re looking for a luxury cabin and retreat, this is not it.

Response from VrboOwner on 21 Oct, 2022
Hello Rachelle, we take it seriously when guests let us know that we missed the mark. The owner wanted to share the following:
- I am deeply sorry for the issues you experienced during your stay.
I went to the cabin immediately after your departure and the tv and internet wifi were in working order which I communicated to you through text. The cell service was a hit-and-miss as usual and I explained this to you before your arrival.
- The check-in instructions that I sent to you prior to your arrival note that restaurants and other local attractions are a few minutes away from the home. The listing also shows accurate mileage of local attractions and this can be seen before booking the home to determine if the property is a good fit.
- You have been provided with a refund to compensate you for the problems you encountered and we answered every text proficiently and with care.
- The home was checked thoroughly before and after your reservation and no bugs were located in the home. We will keep a lookout for this and contact pest control when needed.
We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
