Welcome to Prost Post @Frio River Resorts!

Located on hole #1 of the Frio Valley Ranch golf course, Prost Post offers a ton of amenities guaranteed to delight your group. Featuring a synthetic turf outdoor lounge area with fire pit and grill, swimming pool with deck entry, an outdoor cabana with television, and a separate game room with ping pong table and an arcade console, everyone in your group will be entertained!

When you're ready to tuck in for the night, you'll have your choice of sleeping accommodations. Sleeping up to 30, Prost Post offers 5 bedrooms total, with 2 bedrooms inside the main part of the house and 3 exterior bedrooms with individual entry connected by a breezeway. Inside, 1 bedroom will have a king bed and a twin bed with a twin trundle, and the other will have 1 king bed. Outside, 1 room will have 2 queen beds, 1 room will have 2 queen beds and then a set of queen bunk beds, and the 3rd room will have 3 sets of queen bunk beds.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ:

LINENS: Bring sheets and pillowcases (basic bedding including mattress cover, pillows, and blanket are provided, sheets and pillowcases are not).

TOWELS: Bring bath towels, washcloths, kitchen towels, pool towels (no towels are provided).

PAPER GOODS: Bring paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, coffee filters. Your kitchen is equipped with dinnerware, silverware, drinking glasses, and basic cookware, but you may want to bring paper plates, plastic cups, and plastic ware.

Wonderful Retreat In Concan

We stayed at the Frio Resorts for the weekend during mid April as our friend group had planned a trip to experience the Twisted Sisters and the other great driving roads of the region. The hosts were very receptive to our needs and questions and made the entire process smooth and seamless, which we greatly appreciated. The property was prepared as stated and offered plentiful amenities for our group such as large bedrooms, golf simulator, pool with outdoor bar, Pac Man (which was a favorite) and the overall comfort of the property. We had 12 vehicles total and there was plenty of parking available for us which was an added bonus. One thing to note is there are roughly 10 large speed humps once you enter the gated portion, we only found this out upon arrival. If you have a sports cars or lower vehicles I would take this into account as it will take slightly longer to get through the neighborhood and scraping may occur. This isn't at fault of the host but part of the road design when the area was built. Overall it was a fantastic stay for our group and provided us a very nice get away weekend that we all thoroughly enjoyed. I would highly recommend.

Beautiful space perfect for four families with children.

We were four couples with one child each. The kids got their own bunk room. There's one room connected so those parents can be close by. Of course there's lots of additional beds but this was a nice arrangement for us. Evenings we spent by the pool. We had dinner together outside at the long table. The dark sky and quiet is wonderful for star gazing and the friendly town was fun to explore. This was a perfect place to watch the eclipse, (if it weren't for the clouds). The living room is really beautiful with so many windows everywhere. The kitchen is lovely and well equipped but the cupboards could use an upgrade. The silverware drawer was very difficult to open and there are no handles. We anticipated no supplies being provided or available nearby but were pleasantly surprised to find some toilet paper and kitchen/ bathroom toiletries were provided. Also, the little shops in town have all the basics. We even found delicious things for the BBQ, drive thru margaritas, and local pie! I recommend making reservations for the nearby Frio bat cave. An amazing experience. We never saw any bugs or spiders in the house but they were around the pool a bit. Probably nothing harmful. We enjoyed being close to nature and got to see a fox and a skunk, too. Sitting by the pool in the mornings we saw so many songs birds in the trees. Overall a really beautiful memorable experience. I'm really glad I found this place.

Great Place for a Big Group

We had 12 guys for golf and cards weekend. Everybody had a bed and plenty of room outside to hangout, watch tv, play cornhole and swim. WiFi worked great and no issues with the place. Would stay again. Wish it had sheets but understand why.

Family Vacation

Great location, house is literally at the end of the country club road which gives a great deal of privacy. The bunk beds were a little uncomfortable but that’s to be expected. The amount of space was just what we needed to accommodate our growing family. If you have Verizon cell service just know you will have NO service which means making and receiving calls to property owners will be difficult. We had a couple of issues with our home but maintenance was on site to fix very quick!

Concan Family Vacation

The house was perfect for our 4 grown children, their "others" and 3 grandkids. The pool was great in this Texas heat with the outdoor refrigerator/ bar area. Game room was fun and every couple had their bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The living//kitchen was a fun hang out spot for games and family movie night. Highly recommend- you will not be disappointed.

Convenient Location!

The house is absolutely gorgeous and very accommodating. We had a group of 26 and we fit comfortably with room to spare. We greatly appreciated the layout. Each room has its own bathroom which was great because we were a group of 5 families. The pool and game room were a plus. This property is only a couple miles from the 7 bluff crossing on river road! The only con about this property are the beds. Everyone woke up with a sore neck and back after the first night. Overall our family had a great time and great stay! Definitely recommended for large groups!

awesome experience-highly recommended

We had an amazing experience. We had group of 30. The instruction to reach were crystal clear. Amenities were in great shape. Kids had a great time in game room. Kitchen was is great shape too. We felt too many things to bring with us for a VRBO. But in general had a great time in backyard with barbecue as well. Weather was a bit wet so couldn't use pool.

Hey y'all! We're Brannon & Wendi Hightower, owner-operators of Frio River Resorts.

We met in college in 1995 and have been together ever since. Frio River Resorts was started by Brannon's parents nearly 20 years ago and it has been continuously Hightower-family-owned and operated the entire time, with us buying the business in 2018.

We're local and we live in Concan full-time and enjoy serving as stewards of our community with participation in local boards and volunteer organizations. You've likely seen us on River Road as you leave on Sunday supporting the Concan Volunteer Fire Department in our “Fill The Boot” fundraising campaigns, or out to eat at Neal's or House Pasture.
