Bring the whole family and friends to our beautiful and modern cottage on Dwight beach. The lake, beach, grocery store and bakery are just steps away at Dwight village. Algonquin Park West Gate; Oxtongue River; Ragged Falls; Arrowhead Park; Limberlost Forest Reserve; hiking, bike and snowmobile trails; golf courses; ski slopes; and Huntsville town are 15-20 minutes drive away. We really enjoyed staying at this place. It’s really nice and comfortable, clean and full of sunshine, close to the beach. The owner is very thoughtful. We can even find lots of ingredients for cooking. Overall, it’s above our expectations and would recommend to friends.

Good place for weekend getaway

Our three families enjoyed a nice stay here. Lots of amenities close by. House is spacious with lots of light. one drawback is requirement to take trash with you when you go.

We would highly recommend this cottage. Very spacious and clean. Kitchen is well equipped and bedrooms are spacious. Great appliances and bbq. The outside is equally as nice with lots of seating and a great fire pit. It is in a great location to the water which has a sandy bottom. The lake is perfect ( to use the four lovely kayaks) that came with the rental. 5 rating!

Great spot for a getaway

Inside was really nice, clean, and spacious. Outside had a deck area and a great spot for a fire at night. One minute walk to nice little beach and a few nice stores for convenience. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Mevan the owner was very responsive as well. Great overall experience 👍

Fabulous, but too short, trip to Dwight

We loved our stay, the house couldn’t be closer to the lake and beach and the kayaks (4) were fantastic to have. We wish we’d stayed longer and were sad we didn’t see a moose (!) but otherwise we loved our time in Lake of Bays.

Amazing turnkey holiday home

This was our second time staying at Mevan's place because we enjoyed the house and its location so much last year. The place has everything we need so it's easy to relax and comfortable for our whole family from 3-yo kids to visiting grandparents in their late 70s. Just a short walk to the general store with fresh bread and a pharmacy or to the public beach which is terrific and keeps everyone engaged with people watching. It's also close to a number of good trails and paddling routes (don't forget to use the provided kayaks).

Beautiful house in an amazing location

We had a great time. The house was great. The kids loved the beach and the fact that it was walking distance away was so convenient. Jumping off the dock at the beach was a highlight. Host was responsive and helpful. Dwight is a friendly and picturesque town. Our best cottage vacation to date!

This is one of the nicest houses we have rented! It is beautiful inside - and the yard and decks are lovely and quiet. The beds are very comfortable and having 4 bathrooms was great. The kitchen is very well stocked with all sorts of pots, pans, silverware, and gizmos (even a garlic press) - and the hosts provide things like Kleenex, paper towels, TP, foil, oil, and Saran wrap. The location is amazing - so close to the beach and general store, but it felt private. We barely saw any neighbours and certainly didn't hear any, which made for a peaceful stay. We made great use of the 4 kayaks and life jackets provided. And it was wonderful being able to bring our dogs up with us. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful home

Everything here was super. It's a beautiful large home. Immaculately clean. Very well equipped with high-end finishes. It is close enough to the beach that it is convenient. Not an issue unless you have small children. The beach is great for kids. Good communication with the owner.

Relaxation

The property pictures are exactly what you see in the pictures. 1 min. walk to the beach, clean, quite, relaxing. We were 8 adults and lots of space. The host Mevan was fantastic. He responds to you right away if you have any questions. Keeps you in the loop. Check in and check out instructions very easy. Hope every one enjoys there stay as much as we did. Great place!

The house is fantastic. It has a good, functional layout with basically everything you might want or need. The tall south-facing windows in the living space are amazing. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the separate basement is very helpful for kids to do their thing in relative peace. Location-wise it's also brilliant, just a short walk to both the sandy beach and a small grocery store baking fresh bread daily. I appreciate the owner's quick communications and going the 'extra mile' by procuring a couple of kitchen implements after I mentioned they might be useful - I definitely didn't expect to see them sitting on the doorstep the very next day!

Family Vacation

This was a fantastic place for our family. Everyone loved being so close to the water to go swimming and fishing - especially the grandchildren! It is a very comfortable, spacious cottage with all modern appliances including a convenient washer/dryer in a 2 piece washroom - easy access when out on the back deck and/or firepit. Having a BBQ with all the necessary tools and a well-equipped kitchen with basically everything you might need for cooking meals was also great. Another bonus was having the use of the provided kayaks, floaties, PFDs which was great! It is in a great location near a general store, bakery, restaurants and a short drive into town. The owner was very accommodating and responsive to any questions. We had an amazing stay with many wonderful memories! Hope to return next year!

This was our 2nd year at Mevan's cottage as my family loved it so much last year. It is a very comfortable, spacious cottage with all modern appliances including a convenient washer/dryer. It is about a 1 min walk to a sandy beach & the dock where one can dive and/or fish. There are also 4 kayaks & floaties w/4 PFD's (adult size). Like last year, the kids were in the basement which featured a nice big TV, full bathroom & kitchen area. We did not use the firepit this year because of the fire ban but everything you need is available. There is a BBQ with all the necessary tools. This place has everything one would need & if not, it is only a short drive into Huntsville. Also, it is a short walk to the General store as well as to Erika's for delicious butter tarts! Mevan was very quick to respond to any questions we had. We had another amazing stay with many wonderful memories! PS my 11 year old grandson loves it so much there that he asked if we can come back again next year!
