Welcome to beautiful Yellow Tent Cottage, PEI - your ocean-side vacation home!!!

My name is Andrew, and my fiancé Erin and I currently live at Yellow Tent Cottage with our two rescue dogs. I am a CPA, Erin is an RN, and our two dogs... well, they're just living their best life next to the ocean.

We love to work hard and play even harder. Truly. We travel every chance we get having been to Halifax N.S., Tofino B.C., Morocco, and Cabo Mexico all within the last year. We are super active with CrossFit, road cycling (I have actually participated in the Ride to Conquer Cancer for the past 12 years and counting), and other sports including golf and curling. Our long-term dream, to one day own an animal sanctuary and rescue all the animals.

We moved to the Island in 2022 from Ontario and unfortunately for us, but fortunately for you, we have to move back for my job in Toronto. We have loved every minute of this chapter in our lives and look forward to hosting you and your family in our home sometime soon!

Yellow Tent Cottage is located on Panmure Island, and is a very special place to us.

We vacationed to the East Coast in 2021, and arrived to PEI on August 20, 2021 (remember the date). With no accommodations and after driving somewhat aimlessly for a few hours, darkness started to set in so we pitched our yellow tent along the road, on Panmure Island.

Fast forward a few weeks, we were back in Ontario still talking about our trip to the East Coast. If there was ever a time to own a home on the ocean, we were in the perfect place in our lives to do it. So that's exactly what we did. We started looking and this property became available. We thought, Panmure Island? That sounds familiar...

We moved here in 2022 and immediately fell in love with the property. From the second you drive down the laneway and it opens up to the water, you feel this perfect sense of peace. It is very private and literally could not be closer to the ocean. Try and dream of a better oasis, we doubt you'll think of one!

On a warm summer day, the large deck and patio furniture invite you to unwind and relax as you soak up the sun and listen to the ocean and the birds. There are lawn games for the family to enjoy and kayaks and floaties to cool off in the ocean. Because the property is located on the bay side, the ocean is very calm and shallow which makes it great for small children. The water is quite warm, but if you get a bit of a chill, rinse off with the outdoor tap and head into the hot tub. At night, the lighting and water feature will have the whole family entertained!

Inside, you have the feel of warmth and serenity. The pine wood offers that cottage vibe, but we have also painted the living room to give the main floor a bit of colour and contrast. With patio door and windows across the entire front of the cottage, you always have a view of the ocean.

Just how special of a place is this to us? So special, that on August 20, 2023 we will be getting married at Yellow Tent Cottage :)
