This cozy, quaint cottage with dedicated Bantam Lake access is the perfect getaway for nature enthusiasts, cyclists, writers, or anyone looking to decompress from life. Located on a quiet private street, this completely remodeled and landscaped location is the ideal setting to unwind.
Conveniently located near charming small towns such as Bantam and Litchfield, there are many options for dining and shopping.

The hiking and exploration options are too numerous to list, but land or water abounds.

Refunds are not available, but you can change the dates anytime within 1 year of your original booking.

We are a self‑catering property, and our goal is to keep costs low while offering you a beautiful, comfortable place to enjoy your vacation.

Weird smell, broken doorknob, no soap

To start with, the host asked me to wait until 5 to check in which wasn’t a big deal but I didn’t get a thank you gift or discount. The place smelled weird, like cat urine/tobacco/cleaning chemicals, there was no soap in any bathrooms, or shampoo/conditioner. The doorknob with the combination broke on the inside the first time I tried to go out. And I paid over $700 to check it after 5 on Friday and check out before 10 on Sunday. I feel ripped off.

Darling house in Bantam

This house is perfect for a quiet getaway. Our son loved the bunk beds. Although it rained most of the time we were there we took a lovely walk to the lake, which was about 3 minutes away. The house was clean and updated. We would definitely stay again in the future.

Great little cottage

We came with the right expectations, and this place exceeded it. For the price, such a great little cottage. Super clean (which is critical), really well thought out with nice storage areas and functional elements that worked well for a family who was setting up for 5 days. Nice little walk down to the lake. The access point to the lake was really nice. Good area of grass, nice little sandy part heading into the lake, and a decent dock to enjoy. We rented kayaks from Sportsmen's. Great launching point. Kids had a blast. We'd highly recommend staying at this little cottage. Oh...and the yard was a surprising bonus. Enjoyed grilling one night and a fire pit. Lunch's out at the backyard table. Not much of anything to complain about here. Thanks for the opportunity to stay!

What a perfect little cottage in a terrific spot.

For our family of 3 it was perfect. It is clean, minimalist, tasteful, simple and has everything you might need. The lake is just a few houses away and you can jump in to cool off. We bought raw honey from a friendly beekeeper who lives next door. We saw no bees at the cottage though, so don't worry if you have little ones. The hosts are very responsive and kind. Five stars!!

Beautiful, clean, very comfortable and great location. Owner was very responsive. Had the opportunity to visit neighboring towns. Tons to do, great food, beautiful countryside. Wonderful time. Will definitely return.
