LAKE LURE WILL NOT BE OPEN FOR RECREATIONAL BOATING, FISHING, OR SWIMMING IN THE 2025 SEASON. Although the lake is closed and lowered while Hurricane Helene cleanup continues, there is much that our beautiful foothills area has to offer. LAKE ADGER, LAKE LANIER, SHUMONT LAKE, and MIRROR LAKE suffered no damage, so homes and those lakes are available. BALD MOUNTAIN LAKE in the resort is open and beautiful. We are welcoming guests in over 60 beautiful homes to use as a "home base" for visiting nearby towns, restaurants, shops, hiking areas, and seasonal special events in Lake Lure, Hendersonville, Asheville, Black Mountain, Saluda, and Tryon. Golf is open to the public at Rumbling Bald, and local area wineries, breweries, trails, and music are within an hour's drive. Many of the Chimney Rock shops are set up at the Tryon International Equestrian Center Pavilion. Chimney Rock Park is now open!

Welcome to Brookside Retreat!

This lovely home is about 10 minutes away from Lake Lure and is a lovely choice to come, unplug, and enjoy all that Lake Lure has to offer. Equipped with an Electric Vehicle Car Charger, three spacious bedrooms, a fire pit, a gas grill, and a big outdoor area. This beautiful home has everything you need to kick back, relax, and enjoy your vacation!

Brookside Retreat sleeps six people comfortably with three bedrooms and two bathrooms; four-legged family members are also welcome (we allow two dogs for no additional charge).

On the main level, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen ready for you to prepare your meals. Sit down for a nice family dinner in the dining area of up to six next to the spacious living room area, or take your plates to the back patio and enjoy a forest view.

Upstairs, you'll find the Master Bedroom with a King Bed, an attached bathroom with a claw-foot tub, and a beautifully renovated shower with two shower heads. Right outside the master bedroom is a game area with a foosball table!
The main level also has two bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed and a second bathroom.

The beauty of a vacation in the Blue Ridge Mountains can only be enhanced by its remote location and solitude! Therefore, please be advised that the WIFI in this area can be unstable. Downloading, streaming, and/or video conferencing may be limited.

Guests have full access to the entire property.

Other things to note: We are fortunate to be in an area where many species of wildlife make their home. We hope you will get to see plenty of deer, birds, and bunnies during your stay. You also have the chance to see other wildlife that, while cute or exciting, could harm you. Some of those animals are bears and various species of poisonous snakes. It is best to watch your step when walking and be aware of your surroundings, especially at night when our night vision isn’t so great. It is also wise not to leave food unattended or outside overnight because many of these animals consider them tasty treats. While fun and cute to watch, it is dangerous for us and them.
