A dog under 80 pounds is allowed at this property for an additional $100 plus tax nonrefundable pet fee. Current shot records are required at check-in as well. Although Southbay allows pets, pets are not allowed on the beach. No beach in Destin/Okaloosa county is pet friendly.

Kick back and unwind at the Grumpy Grouper, a beautiful townhome on the south shore of the lake. This pet friendly, two bedroom, and two and one-half bath unit comfortably sleeps seven and the family dog with room to spare. Relax and enjoy the water view from two lakeside decks. Close to one of the complexes three pools or just a two-minute walk, no roads to cross, to the private beach for a day on the Gulf.

Looking for a quiet and restful Destin vacation rental, close to the gulf beaches and Destin dining and entertainment venues, but don’t want to break the bank? Southbay by the Gulf Townhome #62 is just what the doctor ordered. This recently remodeled 2BR sleeps 7 and has a queen in the master, queen and single in guest bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in living area. Unit has a fully equipped kitchen and full-size washer/dryer, 3 flat-screen TV’s with Netflix, 3 DVD/Blu-ray and wireless internet access.  An electric grill is provided for outside grilling on the large upper deck. Complex amenities include a 5-acre stocked fishing lake, two pools (one heated in winter) and a children’s pool, two tennis courts and a 300’ private beach frontage.

Dog Friendly. Additional $100 fee (plus tax) required.

Nice place!!

Nice vacation with the family. Only complaint would be the small couch had a urine stain on it and they both had lots of dog hair.

Great Beach Time

Property had everything we needed including beach chairs and wagon. Short walk to the beach with Easy access to the beach. Highly recommend!

South Bay suite 62

Very clean and accommodating. A short walk to the beach. The bedrooms are on the lower level which makes it nice so luggage doesn’t have to be carried upstairs. We felt secure especially with having kids-the resort is gated with a security code needed to enter. Would definitely stay here again!

Very disappointing

This condo is in a beautiful location; views were wonderful! The kitchen was well stocked with the needed pans and other tools, and the refrigerator/freezer was quite roomy. The frig door did not shut automatically as you had to be very intentional to make sure it was shut. (It buzzed if not!) However, since it was a premier host, I was expecting more. The overhead fan in the master bedroom only worked part of the time, the outlet by the bed only worked sporadically, and the shower faucet was coming out of the wall in the master bath. In the living area, the couch pillows were filthy, couches were not comfortable, and the chair sunk in almost to the floor. The sunbathing chair on the top deck was covered in mold on the underside. We were very uncomfortable in this condo, and would not rent it again. We had booked it for a month, and left after 2 weeks.

End of summer getaway.

Condo was very clean, and a nice location. Only problem I had was the icemaker worked very slow. With just one person I ran out of ice. The refrigerator looks brand new. It probably needs an adjustment.

Awesome place to stay!!!

My family had a great time in Destin. Just a few things needed attention, but the staff handled them immediately. Very responsive and I loved that!! We will definitely stay here again. I highly recommend it. Great location and beautiful scenery.

Great vacation

We brought 3 of our grandchildren with us on a much needed vacation. They loved the townhouse. Our 13 yr old loved fishing from the deck of the lower level. And feeding the turtles and ducks. It’s a comfortable, cozy townhouse. Clean and inviting. Beds sleep great. The appliances do need to be updated. The fridge door doesn’t shut well and the washing machine was full of water and wouldn’t drain. They did come right out to fix it. But over all I would stay here again.
