Hi Karen I am so sorry you were upset about the beds. As you were a couple that rented the cottage it appears you must have preferred sleeping in separate rooms. Unfortunately the bunk bed is meant for children and not adults. We have, however, heard our renters who appear to want to rent our location with separate rooms for a couple or to have more than one adult couple stay and be then the bunk bed is utilized for adults. To that end we will be replacing the bunk bed this winter with a new queen bed. With respect to the bed in the main room, it is fairly firm as it is pure rubber (ordered from England) for high humidity with a sheepskin on top for removal for easy dry cleaning. We had thought that this very hygienic alternative would be appreciated by guests as it is rare to find and very clean. This year we added a memory foam topper to try and help with comfort. We will re-review this mattress. Sorry about your stay we always strive to be better. Happy travels in the future.

Thank you for your lovely review. We are very happy you enjoyed your stay. I have a suggestion, if you stay at a place and have an accident please let the host know so that they can deal with it properly. Do not try to hide it. Also let them know about breakages. Accidents happen as do things breaking but being told about it makes the five hour turnaround between guests doable but if not told it raises issues for the next guest which is not fair.

Thank so much for your review. You are right the one bed is a bunk bed and is good for kids but not really adults. It’s our intent to remove it next spring and put in a proper queen bed. This will drop our cottage from five to for people but as we are seeing more couples rent rather than families - it’s the time to do it! I am so happy you enjoyed your stay. Allane
