Escape the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse yourself in the tranquillity of this large country house, nestled in scenic countryside in the heart of the Macedon Ranges.

Location

Situated on sprawling grounds in a peaceful rural setting only five minutes from Woodend, offering privacy and serenity while being just a short drive from town for great food and attractions.

Accommodation

Enjoy ample space for relaxation and socialising in the large living room, complete with wood fireplace, comfortable lounges, and stunning views of the surrounding landscape and pool terrace. Cook up delicious meals in our indoor kitchen, fully equipped with all the essentials for your culinary adventures, or in the outdoor sunken kitchen adjoining the pool and spa swim up bar. Enjoy your meals in the spacious indoor dining room in front of a gas fireplace or on the expansive outdoor patio.

The main house sleeps up to 8 guests in four cosy bedrooms, serviced by two designer bathrooms including a classic claw-feet bath tub. Plus for larger bookings (over 8 guests), access to an additional 2 bedrooms in the granny flat, with one bathroom for these two rooms. The base rate is for 8 guests which includes 4 bedrooms in the house. To add 1 Granny Flat bedroom you need to select 10 guests for the correct rate, or to add 2 Granny Flat bedrooms select 12 guests (even if you have less people, if you want the Granny Flat rooms that`s how many you need to pay for). All bedrooms complete with comfortable Queen size beds (6 beds total), and peaceful surrounds for a restful night`s sleep.

Outdoor Oasis

- Private Pool: Take a dip in the large infinity pool, perfect for cooling off on warmer days. Pool heated in warmer months, ie. from November to March (pool not available in cooler months).
- Invigorating Spa: Unwind in the heated spa, ideal for soothing tired muscles and melting away stress (available all year round - heated 11am to 11pm from Nov to March, and from around 3pm to 11pm during cooler months).
- Expansive Gardens: Explore our gardens and bush surrounds, dotted with mature trees and colourful flowers, providing a picturesque backdrop for your outdoor activities.

- Outdoor Dining: Dine al fresco on the spacious patio, the outdoor kitchen is equipped with a 6-burner Napolean built in barbecue grill and rotisserie, a Kamado Joe ceramic charcoal grill (available with advance notice), along with a dishwasher, outdoor seating for 10 plus ample space for a few extras, and gas fire table.
- Nature Walks: Discover the beauty of the surrounding countryside with scenic walks and hikes, offering glimpses of local flora and fauna. You are likely to see kangaroos, rosellas, and maybe even an echidna. Plus a night walk around the property may reward you with a wombat or koala sighting.
- Relaxation: Whether it`s lounging by the pool, soaking in the spa, or simply enjoying the peaceful ambiance, Corlara is a haven for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Other Features

- Heating and Cooling: Wood fireplace in the loungeroom and Gas log fireplace in the dining area, for warmth and ambience. Plus reverse cycle heating and cooling, and ducted heating.
- Mod-cons: Including Wi-Fi (Starlink), Smart TV`s with streaming services, Bluetooth speaker, and capsule coffee machine.
- Work station: if you need to work you can plug your laptop into one of the supplied extra screens provided - one bedroom workstation in the house, and one bedroom workstation in the granny flat (if booked).
- Welcome Pack: Includes chocolate, muesli, coffee beans and pods, and assorted teas, to get you started.

Surrounded by some of Victoria’s best fresh produce, providores, farm gates, wineries, breweries, and distilleries to stock up at. Why cook though, when the region’s best eateries are nearby, including Kuzu Izakaya, Sizzler Restobar, The Vic Hotel, UUMM restaurant, Mount Towrong Vineyard, or head to Kyneton’s renowned restaurant strip for more incredible dining options.

Attractions or activities nearby include Hanging Rock, Mount Macedon Memorial Cross, Sanatorium Lake, Campaspe River, Trentham Falls, hiking trails such as Macedon Regional Park, great cycling routes and mountain biking tracks, Woodend Golf Club, day-spas, yoga, local markets, art galleries, antiques, historic buildings, renowned gardens, mineral springs, and so much more. Close proximity to the regions function centres if you are visiting for weddings and events.

Booking Details

- Check-in from 3pm, check-out by 10am.
- Minimum 2-nights. Long weekends, public holidays, and peak periods minimum 3-nights.
- Base rate is for 8 guests which includes 4 bedrooms in the house. To add 1 Granny Flat bedroom you need to select 10 guests for the correct rate, or to add 2 Granny Flat bedrooms select 12 guests.
- Children must be supervised at all times, due to hazards such as the pool and spa, the unfenced dam, and wildlife around the property. As such this property may not suit all families.
- House trained and well behaved pets allowed by prior arrangement ($25 per pet, max 2 pets). No heavy shedding breeds.
- Pool not heated in cooler months.
- Spa heater can’t run for the entire day, as the pool filter stops working when heating the spa as only the spa is filtered when the spa is on, which will result in dirty pool water (hence during the warmer months, the spa is heated from 11am to 11pm and during winter from 2pm to 11pm. Spa heating is included for the amount of nights booked (ie. if 2 nights booked the spa can be heated on 2 days, so generally not heated on departure morning).
- No parties, 18th, 21st, hens, bucks, or other all-male groups.
- Exterior security cameras on property. Property has 4 outdoor security cameras, plus a Ring video doorbell. The external security cameras cover the areas of the entrance driveway/front door, carparking area, entrance area of the laundry door, and the patio/pool area. The ring doorbell is on the laundry door. There are also cameras monitoring the pool filter/heating equipment and tank levels.

*Tax applied to the booking is the Victorian state government’s new Short Stay Levy, charged on Holiday Rental properties.
Children must be supervised at all times, due to hazards such as the pool and spa, unfenced dam, and wildlife around property. As such this property may not suit all families.
Leave the property clean on departure, close to the way you found it as is standard with most holiday rentals (dishes, benches, rubbish, etc).
Please respect neighbours - no parties, no music outside, no additional sound equipment (DJ, PA etc), no noise after 10pm.
Complaint calls from neighbours incurs fees and may result in eviction. After hours call outs due to avoidable incidents caused by guests incur fees.

I had a fantastic stay at Corlara in Woodend! The house was perfect for entertaining, with plenty of space and a great outdoor setup. The pool and spa were wonderful additions, offering both relaxation and fun. The outdoor kitchen was excellent, making outdoor dining effortless. The location was beautifully secluded yet conveniently close to town, providing the perfect balance of privacy and accessibility. Pool area and outside kitchen area magnificent.Being early spring it was a bit Icey for the pool.The Spa section was heated which was utilized after long walks. The Spa is only a hot tub (no aeration bubbles) . We had trouble early with fire pit but after consultation with Chris & Nick the problem was immediately resolved. The bedrooms, kitchen, dinning & lounge rooms all 10 out of 10. We look forward to our next visit (summertime)

60th Wedding Anniversary Celebration

It was fabulous for our extended family of 11 persons. We were very comfortable in the house and Granny Flat. It was well heated, accessories were great for meals and the main celebration on Saturday evening when we had a friend who is a professional caterer who was very happy with the facilities. Family had a wonderful time, kangaroos greeted us on arrival, eagles soared overhead and wildlife carer in family saw a wombat. Great venue for our celebration.

Wonderful stay at beautiful “Corlara”

Wonderful stay at Corlara. The beautiful surroundings, fantastic pool and outdoor bbq/kitchen area are truly amazing and the house and its facilities the best we’ve come across in many years of holidaying in this fashion. Our family of 11 very comfortably accommodated. The kitchen equipment top class, and the cleanliness of the whole house outstanding. Beds super comfortable. Excellent communication with Relax Holiday Rentals, making the whole process clear and easy. Highly recommend this lovely place!

Amazing property and attentive service

The property was perfect and the team at Relax Holidays were great. It was clean and fully equipped with everything you’d need particularly in the kitchen and we absolutely loved the pool and spa. Even in the coldest part of winter, the gas heating allowed a comfortable swim. Any queries I had or requests regarding the pool/spa, were promptly responded to. Highly recommended.
