Dea Mare - Meredith Lodging

This handsome four-story home has terrific ocean views from its upper levels on one side of the house and sky-high views over Olivia Beach on the other. A top-level wind-screened deck is graced with a hot tub, where you can soak away your troubles as you delight in the collection of Cape Cod-style homes below you. One of Dea Mare’s extensive perks is that you’ll enjoy access to all the amenities of Olivia Beach: a private beach access a few steps from your front door, a seasonal salt-water pool, a fitness room, and a grassy park with a playground, fire pit and volleyball area.

The top-floor, ocean-view great room has a vaulted ceiling framing the excellent gathering space. A contemporary sectional surrounds the TV and gas fireplace, a dining table for six (plus seating for four at a beautiful granite breakfast bar), and a beautiful gourmet kitchen with a gas range and a kitchen sink with park views will draw your guests together. The deck, suspended high in the air, affords great views and includes a barbecue to extend your dining options. The home’s bedrooms are on a lower level for privacy and quiet: a king suite and two queen bedrooms (one with terrific ocean views!) take up one floor, and a kids’ retreat has two twins with trundles and a spacious media area for games and TV. The ground floor has a foosball table in the garage and an entrance door for trips to the park.

You’ll be in central Lincoln City, minutes from the outlet mall, Chinook Winds Casino and all the other delights for which the city is known. You can easily walk to the Nelscott District, where you’ll find restaurants, coffee, candy, and the Oregon Coast’s biggest used bookstore. House was okay although stated parking for 4 cars and really only parking for one car with 2 hour street parking for the others. And the one spot was up a steep drive with limited space to turn around. Furthermore, the hot tub was broken and the grill was broken. Also went with my mother who is 81yo and did not realize that just to get from the parking to the main floor (which is on the top of the house) was up 42 steps. Other than hot tub being not so clean the rest of the house was clean and the beds were comfortable and the management was responsive. You may also want to bring laundry detergent if you plan on doing more than two loads of laundry as that is all that is provided.

Ocean View, with close access to the beach

We enjoyed our stay, the house was straight forward, clean, had great view and easy access to the beach. Additionally, there was a back deck with a hot-tub for nice evening and morning soaks. Please note: that your house guest need to be stair friendly. As there are a lot of stairs from where the parking is in back to the top-main level of the the house, as well a big staircase down to the beach.

Spring break

The house was nice lots of stairs! Overall house worked good for us including the location. Parking is not good! It says 4 cars? We had two and it was a struggle! Also I may have missed it but the directions take you to the front of the home, you need to be in back of it to park. It took us a bit to figure out how to get to the back of home. Maybe just include in directions.

The home has a great location with super close access to beach and allows dogs and has room for plenty of people...but...it really lacks in amenities for the price you are paying. tiny bars of soap and mini travel sizes of conditioner and shampoo. small container of dish soap - No where near enough for 8 people for 5 days. Really disappointing. Many of the kitchen items were flimsy or broken - none of the can openers worked which left us in a bit of bind at one point. It just wasn't worth the money frankly. We've stayed in the Olivia Beach community before and not had this experience.

Great views and location

We had a nice vacation overall at this beach house. The views were beautiful, and we really enjoyed spending time on the deck and in the hot tub, which had a great view as well.The house was clean when we arrived, though we did find a few items left behind from previous guests. The structure itself is quite loud and creaky, which might be something to keep in mind if you're a light sleeper.Be prepared to climb multiple flights of stairs—this wasn’t an issue for us, but it could be for others. If you're traveling with little ones, definitely bring your own baby gate.Parking is a bit tricky. The back garage area only allows two cars, even though three can technically fit. The front of the house is usually full, and you can’t leave your car there 24/7. We ended up using a few 24/7 spots on a side street behind the park. Just know that turning around requires using the neighbor’s apron, and the driveway has a tight curve and steep hill.Speaking of neighbors, one in particular doesn’t seem to appreciate having renters next door, which made things a little uncomfortable at times.Beach access is conveniently located just across the street. The property is managed by a large rental company, so keep that in mind if you prefer a more personal touch.

So much money for such a disappointment.

First I have to say if you are reading this please find a different property supported by actual people not a property management company. This company takes forever to respond to any questions. This property needs some TLC. First off the listing says you can park 4 cars on the property but when I asked the question of where, they didn't respond back. You a very limited on where you can park and the driveway is a steep narrow driveway at the rear of the property shared with the neighbor next door. These units are not ada accessible. They have 4 flights of stairs. Also yes it has beach access but you also have to traverse about 4 stories of stairs to get to the beach. When we arrived we asked the management team where the ceiling fan remote was and they said they don't know and left it at that offering no solution to the extremely warm top floor which is also where the kitchen and living room are. On day 2 we discovered there was no dust pan. Reached out to the property management team, they responded a couple hours later to be told someone would bring one by which they did not. The pool is small for the amount of units in this community with no parking anywhere. You must walk to the swimming pool. This was supposed to be a simple family vacation that turned out to be such a waste of money. The Holiday inn Express cares more about you then these people. My advice is, rent from someone who cares about you and their property. The unit is clean though.
