You’ll be just two minutes’ walk from central Mudgee at charming Kareela Cottage. Start the day at Mudgee Bakery before strolling historic Church and Market streets. There are cafes, galleries and local markets, along with some of the region’s best-known wineries Lowe and Logan Wines close by. Check out the Lawson Park Sculpture Walk and stretch your legs at The Drip walking track. Come home to this pet-friendly abode, replete with alfresco dining with a BBQ, fire pit, full kitchen and laundry.
Brimming with classic country charm, Kareela Cottage is instantly inviting, welcoming both guests and their furry friends. Arriving at the property, you’ll be captivated by its picket fence, flowering garden, and idyllic front porch, perfect for enjoying some fresh air.

The living and dining area is open plan and flows to the back garden, creating a lovely transition between indoors and out. Prepare a meal in the fully equipped kitchen or make use of the BBQ and Mudgee’s delicious fresh produce. In the evening, relax in the outdoor lounge with your favourite book or gather around the fire pit for a cosy night under the stars. There is also a shared backyard where you can enjoy additional outdoor seating and perhaps even meet some friendly neighbours. Air-conditioning and heating keep things comfortable no matter what time of year you are travelling.


Both bedrooms encourage a good night’s sleep. The first bedroom has a beautiful outlook over the garden and is set with a queen-sized bed, side tables and reading lights. The second bedroom also features a plush queen-sized bed. Both boast immaculately presented ensuite bathrooms, stocked with complimentary boutique toiletries for your stay. A euro-style laundry adds to your everyday convenience with a washing machine and dryer.

Nestled just under four hours’ drive west of Sydney, the town of Mudgee is renowned for its wineries and flourishing food scene. Its winemaking dates to the 19th century, with notable cellar doors including Lowe Wines, Robert Stein Vineyard and Logan Wines. Meander the colonial streetscapes filled with produce stores, cafes and boutiques, and shop for local produce at the Mudgee Fine Foods Farmers’ Markets, held in the picturesque grounds of Robertson Park. While visiting the region, you can explore World Heritage-listed Wollemi National Park, home to scenic walking trails, canoeing and kayaking tours.
