Perfectly situated in the middle of town near major Marfa attractions, MOTEL is a thoughtful, multi-year adobe renovation spearheaded by craftsman, Jantzen Matzdorff who is known for intentional restorations and putting his entire heart into his work. With design by renowned design firm McCray & Co., this is the latest in a series of successful projects together. Together they created this original boutique hotel almost exclusively with vintage and custom finishes while honoring the original structure.

Room 4 is a curated West Texas 307-square-foot studio ideal for two guests and offers a unique design that seamlessly blends vintage elements with a vibrant ambiance. Highlights of the room include a vintage leather chair for lounging or reading, eclectic decor adding character and style to the space, a custom bed with plush queen mattress and luxury sheets. The full bathroom is thoughtfully stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash and the kitchenette is fully equipped with a mini-fridge, sink, toaster oven, hot plate, pour over coffee vessel and all of your kitchen essentials. A custom desk next to one of the large windows makes for a good remote work space or a place to work on that novel you’ve been putting off.



The shared courtyard is decked out with a beautiful fountain, dedicated dining area for dining al fresco, and a large outdoor fireplace to unwind under the stars. A custom BBQ grill adds to the charm for guests looking to grill and gather. The private spa-like outdoor tub area `Oasis` is reservable via QR code and features a vintage clawfoot tub. The shared sauna and cold plunge offer a one-of-a-kind relaxation experience in Marfa.



Guests also have access to high-speed internet and an EV charger located in the shared parking area—just bring your adapter to plug in with ease.

Plus, guests enjoy added value with a complimentary pool pass to the Saint George Hotel, perfect for a refreshing dip and a relaxing day in style. Each guest receives one pass per stay, valid for a single day only. Once used, the pass will be collected by the hotel and cannot be reused, even for longer reservations. While we`re happy to provide this special perk, please note that pool access may be affected by maintenance, seasonal availability, or other factors beyond our control.
