Cabin in the woods

Great setting. Very comfortable and well appointed house. Would definitely stay here again. Excellent communication from management.

Great amenities, weird microwave placement

The home was tidy and BBR has amazing amenities. The microwave was above the fridge in a cabinet which made it hard to use for shorter humans and hard to find. Location is best for families with slightly older kiddos 5+. We have an almost 2 year old and made it work but had to do some baby prodding . Overall great place . We would stay again!

This property was decent but the reason for the 3-star review is that the duvet covers were way too heavy for the summertime. There is no AC in this house which is generally fine because the evenings cool down so opening the windows would generall suffice but only if they also provided ightweight duvet covers. Heavy duvet covers for the winter, light duvet covers for the summer. The house also needs a deep clean. When I was searching for some lost baby toys, I looked under the couches and was surprised to find a LOT of dust and debris. There was also a lot of crumbs and debris between and under the couch cushions.

Unfortunately this was one of my worst Vrbo stays. The unit was not clean. When we arrived, there was old coffee and coffee grounds in the pot, the sponge was dirty, there was popcorn on the living room floor, there was a ton of old food and garbage under the couches, the upstairs bedroom had a pillow with a stain on it, several windows were missing screens. There was no AC which was fine but there also weren't fans for the bedrooms or living room. We needed assistance with mail and finding the parking spots and the hosts did not answer our questions directly. We had to drive 20 minutes out of our way to dispose of the trash. The hosts did not provide an address for the trash facilities and the road is not on the Black Butte map. We paid a cleaning fee and I cannot believe we had to drive so far out of the way to throw the trash away.

We reviewed your reservation correspondence and see that you inquired about parking, which we responded to on the day of check-in with details for spot #18, as well as clarification that we are unable to receive mail at the rental. Our property description also notes: ‘Guest is responsible for taking trash to 71225 McAllister Rd in Black Butte. Failure to remove trash will result in a $50 trash removal fee’—but we do apologize for any confusion. We did not receive any outreach from you regarding cleaning issues. Had we been notified, we would have promptly sent housekeeping over to address your concerns and deliver a fan. We appreciate your comments and will share them with our property team to improve. Thank you again for your booking—we hope to provide you with a more seamless stay in the future.
