Mango Mojo Villa is an elegant penthouse condo with soaring cathedral ceilings, sweeping open water views and hilltop breezes.  Exquisitely renovated in 2016, this spacious, well designed, and thoughtfully appointed condo has an open concept great room with a full gourmet kitchen, 3 private bedrooms and 3 full baths, generous dining table that comfortably seats 8, and in unit laundry facilities.  Two private balconies offer a spectacular shady perch for watching breathtaking sunsets, brilliant starry skies, glittering cruise ships at night on their way to southern ports of call, and ferries as they traverse in and out of Turner Bay.  Mango Mojo is located on the top floor of Mango Terrace Villas, a quiet boutique property with only 6 units, a private sparkling saltwater pool with more beautiful views, lush landscaping, and one off street parking spot per unit. The entire complex enjoys a backup generator in the event of an interruption in power service.

The main bedroom boasts a king size four poster bed, en suite full bath and private balcony; a second suite has two queen beds and en suite full bath; and the guest room has one queen bed and private full bath.  All are equipped with high quality cool cotton bedding, plush towels, HD flat screen TVs, ceiling fans, and ample closet and dresser storage.

The unit is luxuriously furnished, with the comfort of central A/C and ceiling fans throughout; or open the abundant windows and enjoy the cool prevailing trade winds.  The great room has comfortable, flexible seating, a 67" HDTV with DVD player, Chromecast and cable service, numerous games and books.  The spacious gourmet kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals and is perfect for entertaining.  Complimentary WIFI.

Enjoy coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening on the breezy great room balcony, with its comfortable lounge furniture and bar seating. A gas grill completes the scene...grill up some fresh caught local fish or protein of your choice!

Beach towels, chairs, coolers and floaties provided.

Walk 5 minutes down to Turner Bay or Frank Bay beaches, where you can swim and snorkel in the warm Caribbean water. Some of the world’s most beautiful beaches are a short drive or taxi ride away. Or choose to hike the many miles of trails that thread through the lush hills, valleys and beaches of the Virgin Islands National Park, which comprises 70% of the island.

Cruz Bay, the largest town on St. John, is an invigorating, hilly 10 minute walk from Mango Mojo. We love the walk to and from town, and often are sharing the quiet streets with peacocks, iguanas and goats.  We do recommend taking a safari taxi if you prefer not to drive or walk. Enjoy a wide range of shopping, dining and nightlife options, or jump on a charter boat for world class diving, snorkeling, fishing, and touring the neighboring British Virgin Islands.

Perfect condo for a family

Absolutely loved this place. Beautiful inside and so comfortable. The patio was amazing. It had EVERYTHING you could ever need. Beach chairs, floats and cooler included. Only issue we had was walking the hill so we called Chico and he drove us everywhere! (Son is amputee so the steep hills were brutal for his leg) our Host Kelly was precious and knew everything! The pool was perfect.

We will stay here again if it is available - loved the views, and the condo had everything that we needed! It is located on a very steep hill, and pulling into and out of the parking can be a little challenging, but it only takes a few minutes to walk into town. We hail from the east coast of the U.S. -- Dave is originally from Maine, and Sharon from Virginia. We currently live in Reston, VA. We've been blessed to be able to travel far and wide. Sharon always falls in love with the location and wants to buy a place, and Dave always says NO! St. John was the first place that Dave not only said YES, but it was his idea!!! :)
We have an amazing on island manager - Kelly - who takes exceptional care of our guests.

Why they chose this property

We have been to other islands in the Caribbean, and were married on Virgin Gorda back in 2002. We didn’t visit St. John until 2014, and immediately fell under its spell! The warm and friendly people, the stunning beaches and crystal clear waters, the turtles (love swimming with the turtles)! The relaxed vibe and great restaurants. The lush, unspoiled natural beauty protected by 7,000+ acres of National Park. We hope that you delight in this amazing jewel of an island, and our home, as much as we do. It truly is a special place.

We purchased this condo in 2016, and put our heart and soul into completely transforming it into an elegant and comfortable home away from home. We made it exactly as we would want it, and are pleased to share it with you.


What makes this property unique

We love many things about this specific location: the ability to walk to the many restaurants, shops and services in town, yet still be in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood; the intimate size of the condo complex and lovely pool; the soaring cathedral ceilings and hilltop breezes of the penthouse unit and the spacious layout. But what ultimately sold us are the VIEWS! Two private balconies offer a spectacular perch for watching breathtaking sunsets, brilliant starry skies, glittering cruise ships at night on their way to southern ports of call, and ferries as they traverse in and out of Turner Bay. It's mesmerizing.

We named Mango Mojo after our sweet cat Mojo. The black cat print in the master bedroom reminds us of him and makes us smile.
