This was a lovely spacious apartment in a great location. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, restaurants and coffee right across the street, perfect! The apartment was clean and the beds were comfy. We had a great stay and would recommend the apartment.

Very spacious, comfortable and well equipped apartment, we loved the furniture and the art work. Check in was smooth, Carlotta kindly waited for us to hand us the keys despite our flight being delayed. The location is central and all the main sites and many restaurants are only a short walk away.

It is a very beautiful, tastefully decorated and spacious appartment. It is situated in a lively part of the centre. Not in the middle, but closeby. In the street they have streetfood foodstands. Very nice Bologna is a vivid place and the appartment is a nice hideout. Only possible downside is the missing of airconditioning since the temperatures rise. It was very warm outside and despite the vans that results in a warm building. It would lead to a 9,5 instead of a 8,7 I would give now

Very unusual and special place with some lovely art and a wonderful placement on the Piazza. It does not have air conditioning, not surprisingly, and the weather was stunningly hot (especially for Montrealers like us). There were fans but it was steamy. Otherwise it was a very nice stay.

This is a wonderful apartment with an elevator. The location is amazing, with great restaurants right across the street! The host is friendly and accommodating. We can not wait for our third trip to this lovely apartment!

This spacious apartment is well located within the university area and an easy 10-15 minute walk to Piazza Maggiore. The strip of restaurants and bars directly in front of the building is convenient, if a bit loud on weekend nights. The apartment furnishings are antique. The host accommodated an early check-in for us which was helpful, and the building has an elevator making the upper floor apartment accessible.

Check-in was smooth, Carlotta stayed a little later due to a delayed train arrival. This apt is in a superb location, beautifully appointed with great amenities. We loved walking across the street to enjoy drinks and food, easy access to the city center and walking under the porticoes. The kitchen area and dinnerware were sufficient, and the several fans to help cool the apt were appreciated. Because it’s near a college, the noise level of lively college life can be a tad loud into the wee hours of the night. We made due and actually enjoyed the liveliness, however take the noise level into consideration if its bothersome. Our family would most definitely return to this location and enjoy Bologna.

We had the most wonderful stay We had the most wonderful stay in Bologna, the apartment is incredibly beautiful and very Italian in the most elegant way possible. My teen kids who never comment on accommodation, (unless it is a hotel), were truly taken by how beautiful the apartment is. It is very otherworldly, you feel like you are transported to a more sophisticated time from the past, with all the modern conveniences. Carlotta and Paolo are amazing hosts, Carlotta warmly greeted us and showed us around the apartment and kindly gave us great recommendations for restaurants.We found the apartment to be centrally located, a short walk to Piazza Maggiore, restaurants, markets and many of the sights and museums. There is a wonderful cafe across the road from the apartment which is always busy and great for people watching. In the late afternoon over summer the street below the apartment is blocked off, tables and chairs appear along the street ready for aperitvio and late evening meals. People watching out the windows of the apartment from above, soaking up the summer vibes of the city was a wonderful way to end our busy days. We had an incredible stay in Bologna, I highly recommend this accommodation in this part of the city.

My overall rating is positive for seasoned travelers who are looking for space, comfort, safe, value and want a living not just being experience. As stated in other reviews its in a student section of bologna. Noise descriptions are accurate and manageable. We were there in april. The basics are there but require ingenuity in the kitchen. Tall ceilings and fans work well. Nice morning light, comfortable bed and chairs, food shopping and restaurants are close easy walk to two center and convenient bus service. The historical aspect of the previous owner adorns all aspects of the decore and worth exploring from the art work, to books and the accolades on the office wall. All impressive. Very responsive managers.Could be cleaner but it an apartment that is locked in my traveler memories as a positive experience.

Lovely Stay in Historic Bologna

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment in the heart of historic Bologna. The location was close to restaurants, shopping and major sights in the city. The apartment itself was charming, filled with art and furniture that were truly Italian. Our flight came in past midnight but Paolo went the extra mile to be there to greet us. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

a huge family place in the thriving university district. on a fun crowded piazza, but the main bedroom is on the back and very quiet. beautifully set up for guests, but authentic to a life in wonderful bologna. i cant recommend it more.

Museum quality accommodation. Sumptuous antiques and traditional Italian feel. So much luxurious spatial rooms. Close to everything and just a short bus ride to the station. Bellissimo!

I Can't Imagine A More Ideal Place to Stay

The location is so central and so fun; you can walk everywhere you might want to go, including right across the street for wonderful food, coffee, people-watching and atmosphere. The huge, antique-filled apartment is fit for for a movie setting. EVERYTHING you could possibly need is there. It truly couldn't be more perfect.

Spacious and elegant apartment

My wife and i really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It felt like a much-loved home. It was a little dated in some respects (bathroom and kitchen) but this added to its natural charm for us. Also, while there was noise into some rooms from the busy piazza outside, it offered a sense of vibrancy to our stay, and connection to Bologna. We especially loved the size of the apartment, perfect for a longer stay of 16 nights. We hope to return as soon as possible. Thank you!

Beautiful Apartment in a Lively Neighborhood

This beautiful, spacious, classical Italian style property was the perfect landing spot for our first week in Bologna. On the third floor, ovelooking cafes, wine bars and a vital social scene in the center of University life, we still enjoyed a good night’s sleep in the quiet back bedroom. Then down the elevator and out the front door, we could make our first stop at the cafe just across the street, then head out on foot in any direction to explore this interesting and beautiful city.

Wonderful 18th Century apt w/modern conveniences!

Large, charming apartment in Quadrilatero, near University. Lovely classics period furniture. We felt we were staying at Nonna’s house. Original paintings on every wall. On bus & taxi line. Great for walking and eating. Lively piazza. Highlite for us was taxiing up to San Luca Sanctuary and walking Down the 2.4 miles of porticos.

We spent five days at this wonderful property. It is like living in an old world palace. Marble and wood floors, antique furniture, and a huge floorplan. The bedroom is very quiet, though the office space is a bit louder, given the square and cafes where students congregate. We enjoyed the street sounds at night; bring earplugs for the office area if you want complete silence. The location is fantastic, and one of the things we always look for in a property… restaurants, bars, markets all within an easy walk. We would love to stay here again.

Beautiful apartment, excellent location.

The apartment was beautiful, with many pieces of art. There was even a piano. Marble floors throughout. Very clean and well maintained. The owner was very helpful and provided good customer service. Excellent location, close to Piazza Majore. Many good restaurants nearby. Loved the booths directly across the street that sold fresh vegetables, flowers, etc. So convenient. We would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and relative. We would stay there again on our next trip to Bologna. Such a beautiful city!
