Sommerhuset ligger på Boyd Pond - et vidunderligt sted at svømme, fiske, vandski, kajak, stand-up paddle board, padle båd eller bare få fat i et rør og flyde.

Sæt dig på dækket og kigger efter vandet, og se lommerne svømme forbi, eller lyt til dem gøre der majestætiske opkald. Sid omkring en lejr brand om natten og nyd ristede skumfiduser og familie kvalitetstid.

Med Canton og Potsdam cirka 20 minutter væk er mulighederne uendelige - 3 golfbaner (1 minigolf), 4 universiteter, restauranter, gallerier! Ottawa og Lake Placid er mindre end 2 timer væk og foretager en vidunderlig dagstur til at besøge det museum, som du altid har ønsket at se eller vandre i Adirondacks (mange andre gode vandreture tæt på Boyd Pond såsom Stone Valley og Lampson Falls).

Kabinen er udstyret med alle fornødenheder (indvendigt og udvendigt), så du kan slappe af og nyde din tid væk. Nyd vandet i cedertræet eller den separate bungalow med cedertræ-sauna!

Our family enjoyed a relaxing time at Peaceful Cottage. Teresa and Chris are wonderful hosts who promptly addressed any problems we encountered. We enjoyed great campfires and time on the water when weather permitted. The cottage is a great place to kick back and relax.

Teresa was a great host and a very responsive communicator. She treated us with respect and was incredibly welcoming to me and my family. She made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Camp Hemlock was condusive for relaxing and enjoying the private and the quiet surroundings. Boyd pond is the perfect size for kayaking and fishing with the family. Overall this is the best location we have stayed in the ADK area.

Very cute and well appointed cottage on the lake. Books, games, canoes, kayaks and sup, porch with weber grill, grill utensils, A.C. Great fishing, loons and a very quiet lake. Friendly owners who make sure their place has everything you may need inside and out. We had a great visit. Highly recommend.

Awful water and sewer smell - OWNERS ONSITE strictly enforce parking

Our stay went south as soon as we used the water and the intermittent sewer smell outside. Thankfully I am from the area and we showered at my immediate family's house. We bought 5-gallon jugs of water to rinse food and dishes, brush our teeth, and wash up. The water had a horrid and overwhelming sulfur/boiled egg smell that stays on dishes after they are washed. The one shower I took at this place during our 6-night stay was nauseating and the water did not drain in the shower – a visual indicator that something is not right with the plumbing/septic. The shower drain also gurgled when water was used in the sinks – often an audible indicator that the septic is full and about to come up the shower drain (gross). The standing water by the wood pile and the sewer smell outside is likely because the septic was full – a tangible and odor indicator that the septic is full and needs immediate attention before you rent your place to anyone. 4 of the 5 senses to know to fix the unsanitary problem UNSATISFACTORY. The balusters on the elevated deck that are well out of code at 8” in places – max spacing for child safety is 4”. How they have insurance with that is a mystery. NOT RECOMMEDED FOR LOCALS that may have visitors as there are only 2 advertised parking spaces that are STRICTLY enforced by the OWNERS ONSITE that live full time next door. Boyd Pond is beautiful and we liked being near the water but when you can’t even shower or enjoy the fresh air the OVERALL GRADE: JUST AWFUL

Nice cottage on a pond with beautiful view

Enjoyed a family stay at Boyd Pond cottage. Sauna was great and enjoyed the kayaks and stand up paddle board. Fire pit out front with wood provided - roasting marshmallows was fun. King size bed and others beds were very comfortable. Drinking water was provided. Some weeds in the pond but much less when swimming further out. Hot tub was not working. The owner was very responsive and accommodating particularly during our last day of heavy rain and short power outage. Overall a very pleasant stay at Boyd Pond cottage!

Beautiful Private Lake

Boyd Pond is really more of a private lake. It’s a nice size… big enough to explore and it never felt crowded. It was small enough that we felt safe letting our teen boys boat by themselves. There is not much to do in the immediate vicinity, bye nearby towns are very small and you need to drive around 30min to get to a grocery store, ice cream etc. We did take a day trip to Wescott Park and spent the day on the beach on Lake Ontario and highly recommend that. The lack of tourist offerings was exactly why we chose this place and we spend my triple days enjoying the property. We all caught fish from the backyard boat area. Out boys would take the fishing row boat out in the evenings and loved it. We swam, kayaked, paddle boarded and relaxed. Most of the houses are in one side so you have a great view of the hemlock forest on the other side. The hosts are a very friendly couple who are in and out and available by text. We met Teresa’s two daughters and they went out of their way to make our daught feel welcome. The neighbor on the other side was also friendly and easy to talk to. We had a great week and were happy we stumbled upon this beautiful area. It was exactly what we needed to take a break from our busy lives.

Peaceful and Relaxing

We had an amazing time at Camp Hemlock. Teresa and Chris are amazing hosts and they were there upon arrival. The communication was great and check in/check out instructions and procedures were clearly documented and easy to follow. We had everything we needed to fully enjoy the water and the sauna was a hit! The pond is so peaceful and we found ourselves being the only ones on the water many times. AC units worked great and the beds were all very comfortable. We will definitely be back for another visit to Boyd Pond.

Heaven on earth!

Teresa and Chris are the nicest people - we were so glad to meet them and learn about their home on Boyd Pond. The house is perfect ! The king size bed is VERY comfy! The water is tranquil and we love feeding the fish, swimming and kayaking. We can’t wait to go back!

Amazing location!

Our family had a wonderful time! The lake is absolutely beautiful and so quiet! We enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming. The house was very nice, had easy access to the lake, and was well equipped with all we needed! Teresa was a terrific host and checked in with us to make sure we didn't need anything throughout our stay. We brought all our food with us and I'm so glad we did as the stores are a little distance away. It made for an easy week to not need to go anywhere (except for an ice cream run to the local convenience store). I'd highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful spot! Thank you, Teresa, for sharing your space with us!

Would definitely return!

Cabin was tastefully decorated and right up on the pond with some fun watercraft included with our stay. Even with the weather in the low 70s, the pond was lovely for a few swims. Theresa and Chris were friendly and warmly accommodating to a couple of our extra needs. My family is rather picky and we were all talking about returning for more than a couple days next time! Thanks to Theresa and Chris for sharing their carefully curated slice of heaven with us.

Great getaway

My husband and I had a great getaway. Experiencing peaceful evenings by the fire pit and small hikes during the late morning, hot tubbing and kayaking on the pond, and finished our evenings with dinner and Yatzee. Really enoyed Boyd Pond, and what great hosts Teresa and Chris were to share their peaceful property...We would definitely come back.

3rd Year in a Row at Camp Hemlock

We stayed at Camp Hemlock over Labor Day Weekend for the 3rd year in a row. Another amazing weekend full of fishing, kayaking, relaxing, and listening to the loons. Amazing getaway for all seasons

Camp Hemlock is even better than the pictures. It's a homelike and peaceful place to get away. We had some beautiful summer weather and loved spending time out on the pond. We also weren't bored on a couple of cooler, gray days: after getting out on the water, it felt luxurious to use the sauna and wood-fired hot tub. We also made easy day trips to the 1000 Islands region and to the cute nearby village of Canton (visit on a farmer's market day if you can). Teresa and family are generous and kind hosts. We were truly sorry to leave and would love to get back someday!

Beautiful lake property

Everything about the location and home is beautiful. Shared access to wood fired hot tub and short walk to shared sauna. Our family enjoyed both and access to the lake and ability to use the row boat (canoe and kayaks available as well). Home was well stocked with kitchen needs and extremely clean. Owners stay next door which provides easy communication for any needs with the house. Teresa was on-site for check in and any needed requests. Very quaint and quiet location. Pond is clean and seemed to be lots of fish.

A Great Escape

The place is beautiful- nice view, quiet and peaceful. We had a great time fishing, kayaking, canoeing and using the hot tub and sauna. The house was very comfortable. Our hosts, Teresa, Chris and Kate showed great hospitality. This is just what we needed to get away and enjoy our great escape.

Camp Hemlock was the perfect setting

Our vacation at Camp Hemlock met all of expectations and more. Teresa and Chris have a gem at Camp Hemlock, and we were lucky enough to enjoy everything it had to offer. Fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, hiking, playing yard games and sitting in the hot tub and sauna are just a few things we did. Our days were full of constant fun, and we now have so many memories that will last a lifetime. If you’re looking for a place to relax and unwind, look no further than Camp Hemlock. Teresa and Chris, we were all sad when we had to leave and we can’t wait to come back soon!

Great Quiet Getaway

This was a charming house in a beautiful pond. They did a great job updating this cottage. It was clean and had everything we needed. Communication with the hosts was great. This is a beautiful unspoiled area and the perfect place to relax. I loved seeing and hearing the resident pair of loons and kayaking in the pond. The water was crystal clean and beautiful. Would definitely recommend this gem. Loved being right on the water.

A beautiful, relaxing get away

My family had a wonderful time at Camp Hemlock. Teresa was so friendly and welcoming, and the property looks just like the photos. Plan to use a mobile hotspot if you absolutely *need* an internet connection because the Wi-Fi is spotty but it’s also in a very secluded area so that can’t be helped. Thank you for a wonderful trip!

Camp Hemlock is exactly as advertised! Peaceful & pristine. The cabin has everything you could want & the location on the lake is perfect. We loved using the kayaks & my grandson caught 12 bass from the dock after sunset our last night there. Took a great (long) day trip to Ausable Chasm, Lake Placid & Whiteface Mtn. Teresa is an amazing host with excellent communication. Don't hesitate to book your trip at Camp Hemlock!

Beautiful 💖 from top to bottom. All the water toys we got to enjoy including wood fires hot tub. Kitchen is so well stocked for making your own dishes . We never left the whole stay. Camp Hemlock is located next door to our camp and when it became available in 2015 my husband and I decided to purchase it as rental property. Boyd Pond is our little slice of paradise and we love to spend time there. We lived and worked in the Canton/Potsdam area for many years but moved to Watertown in 2016 after our youngest child went off to college. My husband and I look forward to welcoming you to Camp Hemlock.

Boyd Pond is a small and very quiet place. Motor boats are allowed on the pond but there are many days when the only thing you may see on the water are a couple of kayaks or canoes, maybe a slow cruising pontoon boat and the loons. We ask that our guests respect the peacefulness of this special place.
