Lovely setting overlooking the North Kent Downs with a view to the Thames Estuary. The house was very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. It was a great base for exploring Kent from the coast to the countryside. Visits to Canterbury Cathedral and Sissinghurst, and dinner at the Plough Inn in Faversham were highlights for us. Macknade Food Hall in Faversham is highly recommended for shopping to stock up for your stay at Norwood Barn - great quality local produce and excellent selection of wines - and for a light lunch at one of the food trucks or the cafe.

Lovely barn conversion with good facilities if a little tired in places. Plenty of room for three couples. Some narrow roads leading to the property but a small price to pay for the good views. Good spot to explore the area and not far from the coast.

We had the best time at Norwood Barn.

We had the best time at Norwood Barn. The hosts were so helpful and charming. They couldn't have done enough for us. There was a lovely welcome pack, which we were not expecting, including fresh food and fruit, milk etc. The kitchen had everything you needed. Cutlery and crockery of good standard. Even a china tea set available to spoil yourself. Games and books supplied for rainy days! The beds and sofas were super comfortable and great quality. The showers were great, towels and bathrooms lovely and warm and of high quality. Wifi perfect! Plenty of parking. Views were to die for! We can't thank you enough. Norwood barn is sure to rekindle the artistic and creative nature of every visitor with awesome views of the outdoors and the amazing play of spaces indoors! Situated in a quiet countryside between the M2 and M20, the cottage offers excellent views towards the fields and further to the Isle of Sheppey. The weather during our holiday was excellent with no rain, clear skies and temperatures in mid-20s. That meant the views with the naked eye extended to over 20kms with the Thames estuary too visible where one could see the occasional ship sailing past!A converted barn, the cottage itself is delightful with a double-height lobby, a slightly lowered kitchen/dining area, a mezzanine living space and access to two bedrooms in the ground-floor and a third in the first floor. With each bedroom having its own en-suite, it was perfect for six of us. An additional toilet by the courtyard in the ground floor was an added bonus. The attention to detail in the the design of the cottage is excellent, with ample natural lighting seeping through the large glazed areas, retaining many of the original barn structure complemented by the wooden floors, stairs, furniture all weaving into the overall indoor fabric.The welcome pack, a very thoughtful gesture from Rosemarie, the host of providing bread, butter, jam, eggs and a bottle of milk was very kind, especially as there isn't any local shop close by. Whilst our stay was very comfortable, we did find that when multiple baths were in use, flow of hot water wasn't always continuous. The phone signal was poor (expected in a rural location) but the Wifi was very good. The TV (32 inch?, freeview only) hasn't got any smart features to watch Netflix or Prime, but we never really had the need for them. Would definitely recommend this cottage for anyone holidaying in Kent.

Eine wirklich schöne Unterkunft für Familien. Geräumig, besonders und schön eingerichtet. Was man wissen muss, ist dass die Unterkunft sehr abgelegen ist und man für Aktivitäten eigentlich immer das Auto benötigt. Dafür wird ein wenig Nervenstärke benötigt weil die Wege teilweise sehr eng sind. Insgesamt aber eine tolle Unterkunft - vielen Dank, dass wir da sein durften.

Prachtige verbouwde barn met smaak ingericht. Licht en open. Mooi wijds uitzicht vanaf de mezanine. Mooie lichte slaapkamers. De omgeving is landelijk en mooi. De eigenaresse was echt heel vriendelijk en lief kwam kersen brengen en er stonden melk brood en nog wat lekkere dingen klaar toen.we aan kwamen. Ik vind het super

We had a very enjoyable time at Norwood Barn and found it had everything we needed for a short stay. The surrounding roads are very narrow so location not ideal for everyone. Kitchen was well equipped but I didn't see a washing machine which might be an issue for a larger group on a longer holiday. I think its a shame the master bedroom doesn't have a proper shower and this meant we chose to sleep in the other double room leaving the bigger room for our guests who only stayed for a couple of nights. Can't really comment on local amenities as didn't use any. It was clean and comfortable and the views were stunning but maybe a bit expensive in my view. Lovely clean spacious barn everything you need.is out in the sticks but it’s what we wanted. Chatham dock is a must if you want somewhere to visit. Beds were comfortable only criticism is the bathroom in the master bedroom is a bit awkward bath quite small and cannot stand under shower, but that didn’t spoil our stay. We stayed at the Norwood Barn in October 2019 The property was very clean and the downstairs bedrooms with en-suites were great for our parents who have limited mobility. The views around the property were excellent, although we were a little isolated, its a good 20 minute walk to the a local pub and really you need a car if staying here. Overall the property was great although we did have a "fly" issue upstairs (lots of flies on the window) but we reported this to the Owner. The only other issue we had was with the heating, it was far too hot on the 1st night and we couldn't work out how to change the heating system, so instructions would have been handy - we spoke to the owner also on this who immediately wrote some notes for hopefully the next guests!! :)

We went as a family (2adults + 2 kids) to this cottage designed for 6 people.

We went as a family (2adults + 2 kids) to this cottage designed for 6 people. My wife just fell in love with the place. Everything in this place is pretty new too. The surroundings and the view are beautiful and calming. The welcoming is great too, with enough things available to have 2 meals prepared. Minus: Not that much cutlery and not a wide variety of pots and pans. Minus: No washer and dryer, but that's well communicated. It didn't bother us (we just went for one week).
