Excellent

We booked this condo for seven nights. The location was perfect and we had wonderful views. The kids loved the two pools and the beach was absolutely beautiful. We always go to Destin, but this condo and location in Fort Walton was so relaxing. Not near as many people as Destin, which was perfect.. We will definitely be back next July.

The places is exactly as described in the description and photos. Family of 6. 13,11,8,6. We thought we would be cramped but it was just enough room. The beach is easy to access. Showers were right there to knock the sand off. The pool and area was cleaned and well maintained. The condo was clean and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. We absolutely would recommend this place. It’s obviously not the most secluded place but it’s definitely not crowded beach area. The host was awesome and communicated well. The only slightly thing to be aware of is there was zero left over pantry items you normally find in these short term rentals.

This unit was just as described. It was very well equipped with all things needed. The pool was easily accessible as was our walk to the beach. Our family loved that 2 beach chairs and umbrella was provided. Also, the unit offered 4 additional beach chairs which was very convenient for us having teens which needed seating. We are hoping to book the same unit for our next visit to Fort Walton!

Unit was nasty. Needs a good cleaning. Pool was nice. The ocean view was wonderful. Could use some knives to cook with and some blankets that aren’t all balled up for the couch bed. A/C worked nicely.

Great Time!

Overall the condo was great and the property was super nice, as it always is.The kitchen could use an upgrade, but it met are needs.Waters Edge is one of the best property in the island!!!

We have stayed at the water’s edge numerous times, but this last stay did not leave me wanting to come back if this is how this property is going to be moving forward. We booked a 6 night stay. Upon arrival, everything seems to be normal. After inspection of the unit, we found a bug next to the door that goes to the balcony. Not a normal small bug, this was roughly 2-3 inches big that the cleaners missed. Behind the couch was never cleaned. The floors were not mopped. The next day we were getting ready for dinner. My wife noticed ants in the master bedroom closet. I tried to call sunset rentals, left a voice mail, and never heard back. I then got on their website and had to submit a “contact us” message. I then received a text that they would be in touch with the property manager. Then didn’t hear anything, until the next day I have someone knocking on the door randomly. Pest control was there. Not a phone call/text informing us that someone was coming to spray chemicals. I let them in, asked if this was safe because we have two boys (ages 3 & 1) that will be on the floor/playing. They said yes, but is it really? After pest left, I reached out via text to the sun set rentals to inform them lest just left. Stacey said “thank you for letting us know, we have been waiting on a call back from them.” The rest of the stay was normal the last 2 days we were there. Besides hurricane isaias coming. (Hope everyone is safe!)

While Jeremy left the property in good condition, we experienced communication and expectation challenges. Although presence of ants was reported and we acted immediately to provide quick service. Guest should expect quick responses when asking for assistance. We may not be privy to service vendor schedules and locations but will provide that information when able. Expecting pest control without pest control measures is an unrealistic expectation and we found it difficult to navigate the guest's conflicting requests. Future guest should expect to encounter insects to some degree while visiting Florida, as insects are abundant here, with many being airborne. Pest control is an ongoing service in all condominium facitlites.

Water’s Edge

The rental process was easy. Our stay was wonderful. Everyone enjoyed quick access to the pool and beach.

Condo was beautifully appointed with all of the conveniences of home. Wonderful decor and ample seating made the time we didn’t spend on the beach so nice. The view of the pool and the Gulf of Mexico are perfect!Property management company (Sunset Resort Rentals) have excellent communication and customer service.Our family (siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles) have been coming to Waters Edge for Fall Break since 2006, and this is our 4th year. We love this tradition and are looking forward to next year!!

Condo was ok

The unit wasn't as nice as others we've stayed at in the area but nice. Kitchen is poorly equipped with good cookware so it can be an issue. View and access to the pool and beach was excellent.

We did really enjoy our stay. The view was amazing, pool was clean and right at the beach. Only thing was the dryer vent was very old and didn’t stay together. It was full of lent came out and started to shoot out lint out side and clothes were getting sucked into the hole. Really needs to be replaced.

Fall break 2023

This was our 3rd trip to Waters Edge in October. This was a perfect condo for 4 people. 2 couples. Condo clean and beds comfy. Weather was unbelievable. Sunny and warm for beach days.

Great experience!!

Our family had a wonderful time. The condo was well prepared with everything we needed and very clean. The location was ideal....2nd floor with a balcony that overlooked the pool and the ocean. The beach is right there! Chairs and umbrellas were set up each morning and it was very convenient. No concerns at all with the condo and will consider returning.

Great spring break trip for the family

Our family had a nice week in this condo. We’ve been to the Destin/Fort Walton Beach area for the last five years in March. This was a great condo with a good pool and the beach service was nice. Kitchen was fully stocked with every appliance you’d need. 3rd bedroom isn’t really a bedroom-more of a closet so plan ahead for very little space in there. Also, plan on logging into your own tv service provider if you want to watch television. These things were no big deal for us, but nice to know ahead of time.

Over priced area..

The beach it self was super nice. Really enjoyed that part of the trip. The place we stayed "Waters Edge" was really nice other than that didnt care for it. Guess im use to going to Myrtle Beach but i found that there was a lack of things to do. And anything you did do came at a premium price. To give you an idea. I six pack if Mt Dew at the walmart was over $3.48 at home. Myrtle Beach has 100 times more to do.

Awesome property. Decks with ocean and pool view. Beach is so close. Chair/umbrella service is nice. Fresh water rinse from beach with excellent spray nozzles. Pool is large and fun. Spacious room with nice living area, decent kitchen. Bathrooms lacking some hooks and racks for hanging towels but otherwise good. Mattresses and pillows aren’t comfortable, ready for updating. Area with several good restaurants. Stewby’s for seafood, Don Cha’s for Peruvian-excellent, Burrito DelSol for Baha tacos, Adventure Marina rents pontoons and waverunners. We had a nice outing with Destin Sailing Adventures.
