Sorry to see this review as it really isn't the owner's fault. As you will be aware you booked this property late at night for the following morning and we did not see your booking until just before 9am the following morning which was your arrival day. As we explained, the calendar did not update properly as another booking was made just prior to yours on another site. By 9am we had called you to advise this had happened and offered you a larger more expensive house for the same price which we got ready for you same day. You did some research and accepted the alternative, arriving happily and confirming all was OK. We didn't hear from you again, so believed you enjoyed the other property - the owner was under this impression too (although we appreciate you had terrible weather). I am sorry VRBO asked for a review for the original house, but this is because we didn't cancel the booking on VRBO as we didn't want you to have the hassle of having to pay again for the alternative house whilst awaiting your refund for the original booking. We merely transferred the funds to the new owner. Whilst the circumstances were regrettable, and we sincerely apologise, we believe we provided you with a very fast service to resolve matters and offer you another property. We worked hard to ensure the matter was resolved with no stress to you and no inconvenience to your day/journey. The alternative house was larger, totally private, had private parking, a larger pool, was within walking distance of a bar and was less than a 10 min drive from your original choice. Again, we do apologise for the original mishap, but this review is really based on the 15 minute calendar update delay via VRBO rather than anything to to do with this property, the owner, who looks after his guests, or our rigorous efforts to ensure the matter was resolved super fast. Hi, we are so sorry to see this review and really shocked too as you had sent various communications saying you were having a great time, were exploring the area etc. and that you would probably come back. Your stay was for an entire month and at no time did you say anything was missing at the house. As you know the owner and the agency are available 24 hours per day if you need anything at all, and if you were unable to resolve we would have moved you. We are further surprised as your final communication was that you would love to come again. I have mailed separately (a week ago, immediately the review was posted) to ask you to let us know what exactly was wrong so do please take the time to respond to this so things can be improved for other guests. In terms of the parking, the house is in an ancient village with tiny streets and the advert says: 'Nb - the approach road to the property is very narrow, and there is no parking directly outside. You can park in a free and safe place between 50-200m away.' Hopefully you had read the details before coming and also realised that the house is priced taking into account there is no private parking space. When you regularly spoke with the owner any problems you had parking were not mentioned. We hope that despite this issue you enjoyed your one month stay as much as you had said in your communications. Best wishes Lorraine
