Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It is great to read that you and your party really enjoyed the outdoor area as well as the amenities of the property! I am also glad that Josefa provided a great experience and was helpful throughout your stay. In regards to some of the missing items inside the villa that would have enhanced your experience, I do provide toilet paper and liquid hand soap (organic quality) in the bathrooms as well as a stock of soap for the dishwasher and the washer, for all of my guests. However, regardless of the amount of people staying, it is always possible to run out of those during a week-long stay, in which case most guests usually just request for a refill (if Josefa has not already taken care of it, which is usually the case). Please always kindly remember that this is a villa with a caretaker, not a hotel. Lastly, the kitchen always comes with a welcome stock of pantry items such as olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper, spices, coffee and sugar. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I’m glad that you found the villa to be perfectly suited for a family and that it provided the necessary privacy for your group. It is also great to hear that you truly enjoyed the pool and the terrace! In regards to some of the things that you found inconvenient in the house; the shower stalls have been used improperly, so the gardener fixed the glass panels for you (since someone from your group pushed them instead of slide them laterally). A stock of liquid hand soap, toilet paper, and garbage bags are always provided for each group of tenants, but as you can imagine, with a large group staying in the home it is possible to run out of such items, in which case usually all of our guests just ask for a refill to easily solve any issue. I’ve purchased 3 types of coffee machines for the villa (Nespresso, Moka, American style drip), so that I can accommodate everyone’s wish for the type of coffee that they prefer. If one machine was not producing the coffee at the time that you had hoped, there are 2 other options of coffee machines available to use as an alternative. To our knowledge, and we have recently checked again, after your stay, all 3 coffee machines are in perfect working conditions. I guess you referred to the Italian Moka, that might have been filled with the wrong type of ground coffee. It is unfortunate that you experienced being locked out of the villa, but at the time of the check-in you have have not asked to receive extra keys, so it really was not our fault. In regards to your experience with our recommended private chef, Alessio Sedran, this is the first time that we’ve received any kind of negative feedback about him and his team’s services. All of my guests have always thoroughly enjoyed his catered dinners, cooking classes, and pizza parties. He works with a team of excellent cooks to support his business, and since your request was for a special dinner (versus a personal cooking class), naturally his team helped to execute the special dinner that consisted of his personal menu, and that he had prepared. I do appreciate the feedback, and I hope to be able to welcome you back to the property in the future so that you can have a wonderful experience, as many other guests have had.
