Stunning House in protected natural forest by Lac St Cassien

Quartier Patareou is a unique, rustic, tranquil, secluded and completely renovated pretty stone house, in protected, natural forest next to Lac de St Cassien, Montauroux in the Pays de Fayence. The house has beautiful views over the Lac de St Cassien and is accessed on a forest road. The lake is a short walk down a forest path - we use it as our “swimming pool”.
This is an ideal property for those who want to feel like they got away from it all, yet it is about 45 minutes from Nice airport and about 15 minutes from the nearest supermarket. The beautiful villages of Montauroux, Callian, La Tourettes, Fayence and Seillans with lovely restaurants and local markets are easily accessible.

The house has central heating, a washing machine, dishwasher and a spectacular SMEG cooker. There is a TV (with limited channels) and DVD player.
There is a small electric Webber BBQ.
Our housekeeper will meet and greet you and provide the keys. She only speaks French but we are available by telephone.
The house is entered from the terrace into a bright, spacious kitchen/dining room. To the right is a family suite consisting of a large double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and walk through to a second, children’s bedroom.
To the left of the kitchen/dining room is a stone and beamed salon with a fireplace. A staircase leads up to a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and up again to an attic bedroom with two single beds that can expand into doubles and an en-suite shower room.
The terrace runs around three sides of the house. The land consists of 10,000 square meters and is rugged in keeping with the natural protected nature of the forest.
The beaches of Port de la Rague, Cannes Mandelieu and Theole sur Mer are about 30 minutes away. The exceptional golf resort of Terre Blanche is about 15 minutes away and the Old Course at Cannes is about 30 minutes away. Lac de St Cassien is well known for Carp fishing and at the far end of the lake, next to the bridge, is a water park with paddle-board, pedallo hire etc. The surrounding area is ideal for cycling (the Tour de France passed a few years ago), mountain-biking, running, horse-riding, golf, tennis, fishing, swimming in the lake or just relaxing and enjoying yourself with family and friends
The house is in protected forest so a car is required and the last part of the access is on an unmade forest road.
