Fantastic Family Getaway

This beautiful, rustic house was the perfect setting for our family getaway after the holidays. We enjoyed lounging around the cabin in the morning and at night, and loved the location near many hikes and other adventures. We can’t say enough great things about the house, and had a blast in the Blue Ridge area.

Great Time

We loved our stay at this cabin. It was perfect for out anniversary getaway. We spent a lot of time outside on the rocking chairs and loved the outside fireplace and hot tub. We highly recommend anyone to stay at his cabin! We will be back!

Perfect cabin for a group of couples

Clean, large cabin with ideal floorplan for group of couples. 3 king suites each on their own floor! Large deck wraps main level, with wonderful front porch + outdoor fireplace for gathering.

Amazing!

This cabin is incredible! It has very high end finishes and decor and is so relaxing. The beds are comfortable, has a great outdoor fireplace a hot tub and pool table and is very close to a creek that you can hear while outside on the deck. It also has 3 levels which makes it nice for more than one family. The bottom level even has its own small kitchen. It’s about a 10 minute drive to town and it is tucked into the woods although there is another cabin in walking distance. Would love to come back and stay again!

This rustically elegant Blue Ridge cabin has every amenity imaginable including three private bedrooms and baths on each floor, and that small kitchen on the terrace level with a large refrigerator and microwave really makes it convenient, especially if you just want to have your morning coffee without joining the main crowd upstairs. Being able to hear the Toccoa River on the decks while perched on that quiet private hill is truly relaxing and so serene, and if you have kids - being able to walk to the Lilly Pad Village for gem mining, putt putt in the woods, and fishing in the pond is just icing on the cake! Don’t change a thing!

Six of us thoroughly enjoyed this place on a long weekend girls trip. Plenty of bedroom and bathroom space for all of us along with comfortable gathering spots. We had a fire every night on the covered deck, and enjoyed cooking and sharing meals together in the kitchen and dining room. This kitchen is far more equipped than most of the rental places I’ve stayed in - plenty of quality cookware, dishes, utensils, etc. We ventured out in a few nice hikes and wandered around downtown Blue Ridge, including an amazing dinner out one night at Harvest. Five stars - I wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you for sharing your beautiful, peaceful place!

Thanksgiving in Blue Ridge

The cabin we stayed in was gorgeous! Very comfortable. Most things we needed in the kitchen were there. Huge disappointment that the property manager would not allow my brother and his wife and 2 girls join us for Thanksgiving dinner. Lots of money spent to do this, ruined our Thanksgiving holiday. I will be much more selective choosing the right property management company next time. I understand having to have rules and policies, but this was ridiculous. Enjoyed the surroundings and the fires we had, except fir the ruined holiday, we had a good time!

Aska Escape Lodge has always been a fan-favorite for our guests over the years and for good reason. The homeowner has taken great steps to provide any items our guests may need. Aska Escape Lodge's kitchen is extremely stocked with everything one could desire: several sets of dish ware, a variety of pots and pans, an array of cooking utensils, serving dishes, and so much more. Regarding your additional guests, we would like to address your comments. Our rental agreement which you signed twice expresses very clearly that all guests must be registered guests. You had inquired before your arrival about the possibility of additional guests spending a few nights, and, after we outlined the policies, you never replied to us. Then, on the day of your arrival, you texted us to inform that you would be having four additional visitors, which would blatantly exceed the maximum occupancy for this home. As the property manager, we liaison between the owner of the property who has a huge investment in the home (high six figures) and the guests. We try our best to accommodate requests, but we have to abide by insurance coverage and our agreements with the homeowners. Rather than accept the policy which we had been upfront with you about from when you signed the rental agreement, your family took to harassing ours repeatedly over the course of the week, including your brother calling us multiple times to threaten our young female staff. Again, we do our best to work with our guests and their desires, but some requests breach the rental agreement and cannot be approved. We wish you the best in your future travel endeavors.

The only reason for not getting a 5 ⭐️ review is the wrong address was posted on the home...We wasted time driving, looking for the cabin along with leaving urgent messages with the Cabin rental company on a dark Friday night. After giving this feedback to the rental company, I was supposed to receive a follow up call from a manager and there has been none...

We are sorry that you had a hard time getting to the cabin, however, we called the day of your arrival and asked that you not use GPS but the turn-by-turn directions as they are accurate. Our office was open until 8p and spoke with you as you were lost. We made sure you arrived at your cabin and that the code worked. GPS does not work accurately in the mountains, and that is why we contact our guests before they travel to stress the necessity of using our directions. Beautiful place. Careful with the extra charges

Had a great time with my family, the cabin was beautiful and clean, fully equipped (although they didn't have a blender). Our experience was great at the place overall. However, neither the administration nor Vrbo were clear about the rates and they charged me for $800 extra dollars that nobody was able to explain and they just didn't refunded. So, be careful with the rates and be prepared to pay extra money.

Perfect!

Came up to Blue Ridge with the family and stayed in this beautiful cabin. The location and the cabin itself could not have been more perfect. Thank you for such a memorable family trip!

Beautiful Property

Though we spent more on this property than any mountain properties we’ve rented in the past, we loved the house. It was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and well equipped. The river was within walking distance as was Lilly Pad Village, which was a cute family attraction. Ryan at Cabin Rentals of Ga was very professional and a pleasure to work with regarding any questions we had. Gary, also with Cabin Rentals of Ga, however, was very rude. When I explained the website had indicated the house was dog friendly, he told me if I could prove it he might consider allowing me to bring along our dogs once we provided details of our dogs, height, weight, breed, non shedding, and crate trained. We’ve travelled with our dogs for years and have never been told we needed to prove what was clearly indicated on the website. It was a disappointing interaction. We also felt bombarded with warnings of potential fines for doing or not doing things, taking away some of the pleasure of getting away.

Thank you for your review of Aska Escape Lodge! We are happy that its beautiful appointments, comfort, and location were appealing. We apologize for the misunderstanding about the pets, but we understand that you were trying to bring 3 pets and we have a limit on this cabin. Just because a cabin is deemed pet friendly doesn't mean that any and all pets are welcome. We have strict limits on pets and there are fees associated with pets. We know the pet policies on our website as well as our Rental Agreement, so it is unfortunate about the misunderstanding of your interaction. We have a responsibility to the homeowner of this home to keep it as pristine and luxurious as they have set it up for guests to enjoy. That is why we have a limit on pets - their size, breed, and age. Thank you for understanding this policy. The CROG Team

Secluded but still close to lots of activities

Wonderful home in the woods with sounds from river down below. 2 Master suites made it perfect for 2 couples. We really enjoyed cooking s’mores at night I. The outdoor fireplace. Highly Recommended

Wonderful time!

This house is worth every cent! We had a fabulous time, and we had everything we needed and more. The location of ‘‘tis cabin is very convenient to downtown, hiking trails, and tubing. Our vacation could not have been more perfect! Thank you for your hospitality!

Well appointed rental

This cabin had lots of entertainment options: board games, pool, hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, cookware, and dishes. Very clean, spacious, and comfortable.

Gorgeous Home First Class

The attention to detail is unbelievable. The owners of this house really know how to make it feel Ike home. You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful home with great outdoor spaces

We had a wonderful short stay, and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor fireplace in the covered porch. The hot tub and deck space is really nice, and we enjoyed the pool table. Furnishings are very nice and there are plenty of kitchen and other supplies. The beautiful Christmas decorations were a really nice touch. Two slight negatives: the location and neighborhood is not the best, and there are no views except woods. The listing states there are 3 king suites, but the bed in the lower level room is a queen size.

Visiting Blue Ridge during that time is the perfect to get into the holiday spirit! Aska Escape Lodge is outfitted with many luxury furnishings and amenities, allowing for fond memories to be made in and out of the cabin. Aska Escape Lodge's location is right in the middle of the Aska Adventure Area, making it perfect to visit some of the hiking trails, waterfalls, and other family-friendly activities that Blue Ridge boasts. As evidenced by the photos, Aska Escape does have a wooded view, but you can hear the rushing water of the Toccoa River way below as well as other nature sounds while enjoying a cup of coffee on the porch. In regards to the bed size, there are 2 Kings and 1 Queen which was recently updated per the owner. Perfect R & R

This was one of the most memorable vacations we have had as a family to date. The cabin was beautiful. The location surreal. We enjoyed spending our evenings playing games and just being together.
