Our apartment:
In keeping with it's Georgian heritage, the apartment enjoys double glazed sash windows, high ceilings and oak wood flooring throughout the main hallway and living areas.

Living area:
During your stay you will be able to enjoy a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave. Please note the apartment does not have a dishwasher but if like me you'd prefer to try out some local cuisine, we have plenty of recommendations for you which are right on the doorstep. The apartment comes with Wifi as well as a smart TV pre-loaded with apps including NetFlix and Amazon Prime.

Bathroom:
The bathroom boasts a full bath and rain shower along with underfloor heating and heated towel rail for maximum comfort.

Bedrooms:
Both bedrooms enjoy Egyptian Cotton bed linen to keep you comfortable whatever the weather. All bedroom blinds are blackout should you want to enjoy an extra few hours of relaxation. If you are traveling with a child under 2, a travel cot and high chair can be made available on request.

Parking:
This is a town centre location and as such does not come with a parking space however there are a few low cost options nearby.
1) Quay Road Car Park ( 0.1miles/3min walk)
2) Lower Point Car Park (0.3 miles / 6min walk)
3) East Cliff Car Park (0.4 miles / 10min walk via seafront)
A drop off outside the apartment to unload should not pose a problem upon arrival.

Beautiful apartment, walking distance to all amenities. Would recommend this apartment to families & couples. Plenty of things to do around the area. Fantastic long weekend x

Wonderful!

What a wonderful stay we had at The Olivia. Everything was effortlessly easy - communication before our arrival, clear instruction on checking in, cleanliness, the apartment itself - which is gorgeous! And of course the location. We loved every minute of our stay here. The apartment is equipped with enough to give you a comfortable stay and the beds are lovely to sleep in. We had a really lovely time, we will be booking again.

Excellent property

The apartment was ideally situated for all amenities, was spotlessly clean and very modern and comfortable, had everything we needed for a self catering holiday, check-in was very easy and felt safe and secure at the property, a welcome basket was left for us which was really appreciated, there is a car park within 2 minutes walking distance, Laura was easily contactable if needed, all in all a great host and property.

Modern & clean apartment

We had a lovely weekend away in Devon! Spacious and modern apartment with everything you need for a short stay. Basket of local goodies a lovely treat on arrival! No parking onsite but cheap parking very close and near to all town amenities and beach. On a one way street and my satnav kept losing signal so if driving worth checking out your route so you don’t get lost like me 😂

We had really great stay here. The apartment is easy to get to by rail and road, with inexpensive parking nearby. We found it very nicely designed, and very well decorated and furnished. There is a lift, and the whole building is calm and very clean. There is level access to shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés etc. and the seafront is a short walk away. Ten-out-of ten! We'd be very happy to return.

I was not disappointed at all

What you see on the photos is what you actually get. The place was clean, tidy, beautiful, very close the Teignmouth beach. It has everything you need to feel comfortable, there is a Lidl shop just about 6 mins walk if you need to do some food shopping to save some money. There are car parks around you can pay for 2 days. I must mention, the only problem we had was with the see gull, they can be noisy sometimes.

Lovely apartment in central location

Lovely compact apartment, well located for shops, the beach, the station and parking. The apartment is well presented, with comfortable furnishings and we found everything we needed (although I confess my cooking was limited to heating up pasties). The smart tv was a real bonus for keeping the kids entertained. Communication with our host was fantastic. They were always ready and willing to answer questions, make recommendations or deal with any issues.They also left us a lovely hamper of treats to enjoy. We would hapily stay there again (the kids are already asking to go back).The only downsides were the amount of light that comes around the gaps at the sides of the blackout blinds and the VERY noisy seagulls (probably the case everywhere in Teignmouth)

The property was excellent. Thanks for the goodies. My criticism would be gaining access and finding property. When driving it was difficult to find the property. A photo of front door would be helpful. The instructions for access could have been better by stating the ‘Lock box’ for the key to the apartment was outside the property by the front door. The lock box was also temperamental and difficult. Perhaps change the box and locate it by the door of the apartment.

Teignmouth stay

The property was on the second floor with a very clean communal entrance, stairs and a lift. The property was very clean and had a classy feel about it. It has a good size kitchen, living and dining room with everything that you need if you are self catering; maybe a casserole dish would help. It has a good TV as well. Off the hallway is the bathroom and two bedrooms, a double and one with two single beds. Bed linen etc is top drawer. It is very centrally situated in the town. You have to pay for parking and the best and closest car park is Quay Street car park. You can get two days for £9.20. It is best to download the RingGo app for parking as you can add to it remotely and it also gives you warning of the parking time running out. If you are staying in Teignmouth and want a self catering apartment for two adults (and up to two kids), I would definitely recommend this apartment.

Thanks for checking out our listing....we're so excited to host you. Here's a little more about me. This is a fairly new venture for us but one we're truly passionate about. Being from Teignmouth originally, this was the perfect place for our holiday let and hopefully you'll be able to benefit from any local knowledge I have.

Prior to hospitality, I worked in advertising in London and then moved over to the US for almost a decade where our little girl Olivia was born. It's been a whirlwind 10 years and of all the places I've lived I will always call Teignmouth 'home'. My husband and I have a genuine love for travel and have been fortunate enough to live abroad and travel frequently, so we understand all the ingredients for a great trip. We hope you think so too!

Situated in the centre of Teignmouth, a short walk from the train station (8 mins), main promenade (4 mins), shops (2 mins) and of course the famous 'Teignmouth Back Beach' (3 mins), you'll be sure that no time is wasted during a stay at The Olivia on George Street.

Newly renovated in 2021, the apartment comes with lift access and secure entrance hall with access code. We welcome families to our property and happy to supply a cot or high chair on request.

Unlike many of the more traditional apartment style accommodations in the town, our building comes with a lift which makes it idea for anyone with a push chair, wheelchair or other accessibility needs.

The traditional exterior and modern interior makes this a unique stay which is truly right in the centre of town.
