The Cipresso house is one of the 4 houses of Borgo Montecastelli, and is located right on the border between the provinces of Siena and Florence. Due to its strategic position, straddling two valleys, Borgo Montecastelli enjoys a magnificent panorama from its summit towards the villages that surround it: Panzano, Radda in Chianti, Castellina in Chianti, as well as farmhouses, churches, and towers.
The Cipresso house was born from the ancient structure of a barn that served the community of Borgo Montecastelli to conserve wheat and all cultivated products. It owes its name to the secular cypresses that stand beside it.
The apartment is an independent cottage and is spread over two levels. It can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people. The entrance door is crowned by an arch that allowed horses and wagons to enter. From here you enter the kitchen and dining room with a sitting area, the double bedroom, and the bathroom with shower, which overlooks the valley. On one side of the kitchen, there is a second entrance to the outside which overlooks the private courtyard. Going down the internal stairs you get to the lower floor where there is a living room, another double bedroom with a sofa bed and a bathroom.
Leaving the house, walking downwards, you will find the path that leads to the swimming pool among the olive trees. The pool is shared with the other 4 houses that are part of the "borgo".
