This is an amazing place to stay with an stunning view over the Tuscan countryside.

Welcoming and helpful owners. Spacious top floor apartment in an old palace in the heart of the old town of Colle Val D'Elsa. A good centre to visit the surrounding area. Characterful building in a lovely old town that has escaped being over run by tourists but has plenty of interest and places to eat. We had a great holiday.

We had such a wonderful time at this property. Our vaction didn't start off on the right tone, but this property more than made up for it. It was like living in a castle - nobody wanted to leave to explore the Tuscany area! The home was spacious (for my husband and our three adult children), well equipped (we cooked a couple of meals in the beautiful kitchen) and very clean. The location was perfect, right in the old part of the city, minutes to several restaurants. It required a lot of walking up steep steps - but that is Tuscany! We got used to it and walked several times into the newer city below. The host was wonderful and patient with our delayed arrival. Daniela showed us around the home and made suggetions for local restaurants and things to do. She was very attentive to any of our needs. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Tuscany in the future.

Colle Villa

Spectacular 3rd story walk up at one end of the old village. Terrific restaurants up on the top of the hill, so not too much climbing. Francesca was gracious and accommodating. A word on the parking in Colle. As you approach on S568, there is a sequence of lots on the left, free. There is Parcheggio Bacio 1/2 way up, Parcheggio Porta Vecchia at the top, then a final one just after Porta Nuovo. Having scouted this, we had no issue with parking.

Convenient location with great views

This property is extremely unique. It is in the centre of the old town and as you would expect from a property that was built a long time ago, it has charm. The views to the region are stunning. You need to be fit to stay here as you cannot drive to the door and drop off your luggage and there are many stairs to the apartment but if fitness is not an issue then it is fine. There is a free car park only a 10 minute walk away. Luca the care taker was very helpful as we could not find the property and he kindly drove to meet us and showed us the way. Francesca has been very delightful to correspond with and there were a few items we suggested to her that would improve the property which she was fine to hear about. If you are looking for a genuine old town Italian experience this may well provide the answer. It is best for two couples and two children, although there is a sofa bed in one of the adult bedrooms which two children could share. There are a few reasonably priced bistros within easy walking distance and English is widely spoken. There is also a two star Michelin restaurant in the town, if you want a special dinner! The town is a good location for day trips to the Chianti Hills, Siena, San Gimingano and Pisa. I hope the owner takes onboard some of the improvements our group suggested as these changes would make this a very desirable property to stay at. We thank Luca and Francesca for helping us to enjoy our holiday in this region of Italy.

El apartamento es un antiguo palacio muy bien conservado con mobiliario actual y las vistas de los campos que tiene son espectaculares. Nos dieron muchísimas facilidades para hacer el check in antes de la hora estipulada y nos ayudaron con todo lo que necesitamos. Genial comunicado para recorrer esta parte de la toscana con Siena y San Gimignano a media hora. Repetiría sin duda.

I highly recommend this property

Palazzo Luci in Colle di Val d’Elsa were probably the most pleasant accommodations our annual visits to Tuscany over the past 15 years. I made the reservation in Oct. 2018 for our stay the first week of June 2019. From my first contact with Francesca the property owner she always answered my questions promptly. Francesca greeted us about 500 feet from the property entrance (which is on a pedestrian only street) and assisted us with our two 50 lb. suitcases up the 4 flights of stairs to the door. Her directions to the property and where to park were extremely helpful and precise. The apartment was much larger than we needed but due to the reasonable rate and location with the beautiful view of the hillsides from the terrace it was a true bargain. The master bedroom with the inlaid wood ceiling and comfortable bed was very lovely. The well equipped large kitchen was perfect for preparing a simple lunch to a hot dinner. I will not go into detail about the town which would only repeat what others have written. I highly recommend this property for your next stay in Tuscany.

Robert e Terry sono stati degli ospiti deliziosi , rispettosi della casa apprezzando e capendo anche le piccole difficoltà che possono esserci in un palazzo antico nel centro storico. Robert ci ha inoltre fatto un prezioso regalo facendo una ripresa con il suo drone della nostra casa. Li ringrazio per aver scelto la nostra casa li consiglio assolutamente come ospiti e spero che tornino a trovarci visto che lui è un amante della Valdelsa.

Perfect base to visit Tuscany

Magnificent house well equipped in a beautiful tuscan village, perfect as a base to visit the region. Great for two families with kids. I would just not recommend it for those with mobility problems (stairs, far parking places).

Thanks to Lara and her friends to stay in our house! They were very respectful and correct. The problems about parking and stairs are becouse our historical palace ( XVI sec. ) is located in a historical village! hope to have again these two nice families..

Charming Tuscany Villa

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful Tuscany apartment. The apartment is huge and has a beautiful outdoor terrace that overlooks the Tuscany hillside. The kitchen is large and cozy at the same time. The master bedroom has an inlaid ceiling that is gorgeous. We had trouble finding the old town. We called Luca & he came & met us which was very nice. It is a beautiful apartment ; however, be aware there are many steps to reach the apartment and there is no luggage elevator. Also, be sure to stop at grocery store (Coop) first because there are minimal supplies on hand.

La famiglia di Gabriella è veramente simpatica e numerosa!!! I suoi deliziosi 5 figli sono ben educati e sono stati molto rispettosi della nostra casa storica!!! Siamo stati molto felici di ospitarli e speriamo di rivederli di nuovo !

Perfect place in Tuscany

This is an amazing property! I was a bit unsure when I booked it, but we found it to be much better than the photos. It's huge, extremely well equipped, Beautiful, has incredible views of the Tuscan hills! The town of Colle is great... we ended up staying right here in the town instead of driving around the area. This home is in the traffic restricted section of the upper old hill town of Colle. In town there is a fancy pastry bakery, small produce store, bread bakery, butcher, plus restaurants, atm machine etc. Even a playground for children. What's it missing? Crowds of tourists. If you love character & views with modern amenities, stay here. You do have to be able to walk upstairs. It's on the top floor (third).

Mary Henkel e la sua famiglia sono stati degli ospiti veramente educati e rispettosi del nostro palazzo storico! Hanno lasciato la casa in ottime condizioni nonostante abbiano due bambini piccoli. Maravilloso palacio con vistas de sueño !

La realidad superó mucho a las fotos y la descripción. El lugar es extraordinario, muy grande, muy cómodo, muy bien decorado, techos de madera trabajada, enormes chimeneas de piedra, baños y cocinas nuevas. Muy equipado. Y con una vistas a la campiña Toscana que podrían estar en la tapa de un libro. Como es lógico, la vista mejor está arriba y hay 53 escalones hasta el piso. El Palacio de las Luces, donde está el piso, está a 20 metros de donde comienza la zona restringida al tránsito. El vehículo, tras dejar los equipajes, debe quedar en un parking gratuito bajando unas escaleras. Los dueños Francesca y Fabio fueron muy amables en todo sentido. El Sr Luca, que vive en el mismo edificio, nos recibió con la casa preparada. Colle es una ciudad medieval de cuento, en lo alto de una colina, más auténtica que otras más conocidas. Es un placer caminarla y en especial las vistas que la rodean. Está muy cerca de otros sitios de interés de la Toscana. Esta vez éramos toda la familia, tres generaciones incluidos 4 nietos. Esperamos volver con amigos en otro momento. Gente que recupera lugares histéricos y los pone a disposición es fantástico. Gracias...
