Beautiful, light and airy detached coastal cottage in a quiet part of The Bay - featuring AMAZING vaulted windows - ideal for family holidays. Part of the Bay Holiday Village this truly is a special property!
A beautiful, light and airy open-plan premium cottage located in a quiet part of The Bay. Enjoy a spacious south facing balcony to enjoy the sunshine. The property is within walking distance of the meadows, beach, and The Bay facilities.
Enter Oyster Cottage through the hallway with cloakroom leading into the open-plan kitchen / dining area. Take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen to prepare your alfresco meals! Relax in the large lounge space with SMART TV and wood-burning stove and relax on the lovely sofas (seat 5).
Exit the fully equipped kitchen and lounge through the large bi-fold doors to a large private furnished patio, ideal for outside relaxing with seating for 4. Please note there is an outside tap - ideal for cleaning muddy paws!
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms both with En-suite shower rooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and vaulted ceiling (with floor to ceiling windows) and the second bedroom with full-size bunks, full-size single bed and TV. Both bedrooms have large bi-fold doors leading onto the south facing full length balcony with seating to enjoy breakfast or to reflect on the days activities with a glass of wine.
The log burner makes Oyster Cottage warm and cosy for breaks all year round.

We loved our stay
We loved our stay at Oyster cottage. Ideal with two bathrooms when visiting with family. The only criticism we had was some of the paving slabs were loose and uneven when walked on outside onbthe patio causing a potential trip hazard. Otherwise the cottage was lovely and would definitely return

We were very hard to make sure that it was maintained for our lovely guests to enjoy and we’re so glad you did.
Thank you also for mentioning the slabs, we have repeatedly asked Away Resorts to repair these as this is their responsibility.
It has been going on for a few months now however, with your feedback, I have sent this to them as a formal escalation so I thank you so much for doing that.
Hopefully, we are ensure that this is done with immediate effect.
Please do come back and spend some more time at Oyster. Alternatively, we also have Gingerbread Cottage which is available on Seaford Avenue, which is also just as lovely.

We would stay here again.
Very enjoyable.
Wish we could have stayed longer.
We were fortunate with the weather on most of the days, so it was good to have coffee on the upstairs veranda, as this is definitely more favourable than the downstairs one.

A lovely quiet place
We had a lovely week in oyster cottage. It was in a nice quiet spot and best of all its dog friendly.

Great Stay
Beautiful cottage and we hardly watched tv due to the two wood pigeons who were nesting beside the patio doors. Watching nature at work was beautiful. We named them Woody and Winnie. We hope the next guests let them continue.

Lovely stay

Last minute break
Beautiful cottage , very bright open plan property , large windows letting the light in , two lovely bedrooms , will be looking at going in the summer when you can open the bi-folding doors and enjoy the outdoor seating areas more .

Perfect property
The property was excellent with everything we needed, the large glass windows were amazing so light and bright. The Bay Village is a perfect place to stay with excellent facilities

Perfect stay at Oyster Cottage
Beautiful cottage with great seaside theme throughout, spotlessly clean and well equipped.
Great location for visiting nearby towns such as Scarborough and Whitby.

Lovely stay
We had a great stay at oyster cottage.
The bay Filey is a great place - close to beach in a beautiful location.
We had stayed in another cottage previously.
Loved the massive windows in the bedrooms and the house lay out was fab. Location was ok, but as the site has been expanded it doesn’t have the view it would have had previously.
Plenty of parking.
Was disappointed it didn’t have an outside bbq facility - but we had friends staying on another cottage who did.
It needs a review of its housewares - cups and glasses and a couple of extra sharp knives. There were only two of us so we did ok - but when we hosted friends from another holiday home it was sparse so we had to improvise. It could benefit from an air fryer. We like to do a mix of cooking and eating out. All the equipment was fine and working.
Overall a lovely stay with many positives. We would consider again.

We cant have a BBQ sadly due to the balcony being over it and for fumes so this is something we dont advertise and cant provide - apologies you didn't see this when booking.
We did go immediately to check the cupboards and can only think you didn't see all the equipment in the sideboard (there is a note saying to use it from here in the guide?)
We have checked and the house immediately after your departure had:
8 cups
18 glasses
8 plates
8 small plates
8 bowls
6 sharp knives
If you had contacted us as advised whilst you were there we could have signposted these things for you .

Sunny week
Just what we needed, lovely weather, lots of walking and time to sit outside and relax in the sun. Jasper our dog loved the beach, lots of space to run around. Not too busy perfect get away.

Lovely Property in a Lovely Location
We enjoyed a very relaxing week at this property. It is very well maintained and in a lovely area! We have had a comfortable stay and enjoyed all that Bay Filey has to offer. Booking and correspondence were great. We had no issues during our stay!

Great short family break
Enjoyed our stay in this lovely house. Love the upstairs balcony pity we weren't there longer to make the most of it. Comfy beds. Plenty to do onsite and nearby for our 4 year old Grandson. Bit of a walk to the beach for Greatgrandma, but she made it, just.! Nice meal in the pub and pizza restaurant . Prices not too expensive. Would book again maybe for a bit longer next time thankyou.

Lovely cottage, had everything we needed.
Lovely looking cottage, clean and comfortable. This cottage is light and bright with four sets of bifold doors, two downstairs and in the bedrooms leading to a balcony. Three adults, two children and two dogs stayed and we had plenty of room even on the rainy days!

Lovely Home
The house was really lovely, spotlessly clean and comfortable beds. We didnt eat any meals at home but the kitchen seemed well equipped and there were plenty of mugs and cutlery. The beach was glorious and only 15 mins walk away. Filey and Bempton Cliffs nearby.Wouldn’t normally have chosen a holiday ‘village’ but it was very pleasant. I would imagine it can get very busy in high summer but it was fairly quiet - perfect for us.Thank you
