Owl - 2 bedroom family friendly cottage with hot tub and luxury indoor pool

Owl is a cosy single-story barn conversion suitable for a family of 4. The bright contemporary living space overlook gardens and privately owned farmland. The fenced gardens mean that you can arrive open the doors from the open plan living space and allow the children to run, discover the play spaces and make new friends all within the watchful eyes of their parents. The accommodation is part of a cluster of converted barns close to South Creake benefitting from excellent onsite amenities including the magnificent salt dosed pool, 2 all weather tennis courts, games room, outdoor recreation space, work space and 24 hour laundry..

Owl has two bedrooms and a generous open plan kitchen dining & living space. The rooms all have vaulted ceilings with an airy feel. The living space has comfy sofas and a Smart TV so you can keep up with your favourite TV programmes & films. The spacious main bedroom has a king-sized bed with room for a travel cot and ample storage space in the drawers and wardrobe. The second cosy bedroom has a two 3ft single beds and storage space. There is a family bathroom next to the larger bedroom with a bath and over bath shower, handbasin & WC. Fluffy white hand and bath towels provided for guest use. The home from home kitchen is well-equipped kitchen with plenty of cupboard & worktop space, ideal for whipping up family meals and picnics. Appliances include a fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, Rayburn cooker & gas oven. Cupboards and drawers are stocked with cutlery, crockery glasses pans and oven trays. There is also a toaster, Tassimo coffee machine and cafetiere and tea towels and oven gloves are provided.

Outside there is a private patio and fenced garden with a gate and direct access to the shared gardens and play areas. On the patio you'll find a charcoal barbecue and garden furniture ideal for informal al fresco dining. The gardens are East facing and an ideal spot for a sundowner as the sun sets at the end of a busy day exploring the Norfolk coast. .

Fantastic stay at Owl!

Brilliant stay at Owl cottage - from the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and appreciated. The whole team are absolutely lovely and it's such a well appointed cottage, it has everything you need for a brilliant stay, including a very luxurious hot tub.

A wonderful stay

We had a fantastic long weekend at Cranmer. It’s a perfect base for lots to do in the surrounding area and the accommodation works very well. Having the designated times for the pool is very sensible and having the pool to yourself for your hour is great!

Lovely location

The cottage was very clean and the welcome gift was great it had everything you need for a self catering stay. We took our 2 year old granddaughter it was so safe for her to run and play, she loved the games room also. Really great location for all costal days out and really safe for family’s. We would definitely book again.

Great stay

Really excellent stay at Owl cottage. The facilities were ideal, and there was plenty to do on site for our three year old - the large field out the back was perfect for exploring. Well equipped kitchen and very comfy beds. The pool is a great feature and we managed to swim every day. Would definitely recommend to families! Thanks

Lovely Rural Location

Lovely rural location but also only 10 minutes from Fakenham. Site is a really good base to explore North Norfolk. Pool is fantastic and had plenty of opportunities.to swim in the pool. Great location for both animal and plane spotting Very clean properly and everything you need is available. Would stay again Thanks Mike

My cottage catered for all my needs; i couldnt ask for more. Highlightfor me was the swimming pool which was warm and spotlessly clean. Will be rebooking during winter months.

Fantastic break, especially with young kids

We adored our stay at Owl Cottage. The accommodation itself was lovely and clean, the decor was great and it had fab provisions for a four-night stay. The main draw for us with younger kids was the outside playground, pool and games room and these really didn’t disappoint. As we had a mid-week stay, we didn’t have any issues sharing these with the other cottages. The bbq was fun, and we really lucked out with the weather. The only tiny thing we’d suggest is providing some fly spray / fly tape because with the windows and doors open with the lovely weather it was quite the party scene for the flies indoors! Only a tiny thing though, not detracting at all from a really lovely break. We’ll be coming back for sure.

The owners purchased Home Farm Cranmer as a pile of redundant farm buildings in 1998, moving from London to rural Norfolk in 1999. The restoration project to breathe new life into the buildings began in 1999 with the first 3 properties opening in 2000. The barn conversion project took a further 10 years to complete. Over 20 years Home Farm has provided a special place to live and work for the Johnson family whilst indulging in their love of sailing along the local coast and observing Norfolk wildlife through the changing seasons.

The barns and farmhouse at Home farm offered the perfect opportunity surrounded by countryside for a relaxed and family orientated self- catering holiday destination in a great location with easy access to the fabulous north Norfolk coast.

The converted barns and cottages at Cranmer offer a chance for families to wind down and spend time together enjoying the superb onsite facilities, whilst giving the car a rest! The cluster of properties are perfectly located close to some of the best beaches on the north norfolk coast whi;st nestling in a beautiful rural location. The holiday barns share a fabulous luxury indoor heated pool, two all-weather tennis courts an indoor heated games room and easy access to safe outdoor space from the doorstep. There is the option to share holidays with extended family or friend whilst still having ones own front door by hiring several or all of the properties at once. For cycling enthusiasts there are some great local cycle routes along the quiet back roads all the way to the beach at Holkham.
The whole site has great eco credentials along with several E.V charging points for guests travelling in electric vehicles.
Owners Chris & Becci live onsite. There is a small team of enthusiastic and friendly staff around during the week to help with local knowledge and advice and to help guests get the most out of their stay.
