Cosy converted barn, luxury indoor heated pool tennis courts and hot tub

A cosy cottage with plenty of space for 2 - 3 guests and the smallest of the Eco Barns. The kitchen is well equipped with an induction hob & oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave alongside cutlery crockery and pans. There is dining table to seat 3 and comfy seating in the living space and a smart TV so you can keep up to date with Netflix and other favourite channels.. The large bedroom has zip and link 3ft beds making up to a 6ft double which is made up with fresh bed linen for your arrival. There is also plenty of clothes storage, The second bedroom has a 3ft single bed with space for an additional travel cot plus drawers and a wardrobe. Towels are provided alongside an eco-friendly housekeeping starter box and a seasonal welcome hamper. The spacious bathroom has a walk-in shower with a grab rail and is suitable for less mobile guests.
The small courtyard garden has a barbecue and garden furniture. Guests have access to the shared gardens, luxury indoor heated pool, games room, tennis courts and secure cycle store. There is Free Wifi throughout the site and EV charging available in the car park.

Cute Country Cottage in Norfolk

We had a brilliant stay at Coot cottage, though compact it had everything we needed. Having the onsite pool and tennis courts were handy as was enjoying the surrounding countryside.

Great Dog-Friendly Stay

A great place and location to explore north Norfolk from! The cottage (Coot) was ideal for the four of us (pooch included - with dog bed, blanket and bowl provided. Becci is a very friendly and welcoming host. There's an honesty box for fresh hen and duck eggs, chutneys and even Cranmer colouring books! The pool is a good size too! Overall a very good stay! Thanks!!!

Coot September 2026

Once again we stayed at Coot our second visit this year and 14th since 2012. Jen,Becci and Chris are doinig a wonderful job as usual, maintaining the high standard which we have become accustomed to. Despite a planned power cut out side their control everything was good. We shall be there again in 2027.

Coot cottage at Cranmer

Our 14th stay (I think, may have lost count) at Cranmer in Coot. Once again the standard of cleanliness is first class and despite some issues which were doggedly overcome by Jen and Becci during our stay (thank you ladies), we had a wonedrful time. The addtion of a hot tub was a very welcome surprise and is delightful. Yes we will be back once again, already booked for Septmber 26.

Fabulous short break away

We had a lovely stay here, the pool was fantastic and the private sessions are a great idea. We were even able to book an extra session by requesting in advance, very helpful. Great accommodation and location to explore Norfolk.

Wonderful Stay

Wonderful stay in Coot. Clean and modern, extremely well equipped and comfortable eco-barn. Well managed and lots of helpful information regarding the local area provided. Good size swimming pool added bonus. Tranquil location ideally placed for visiting both coastal and inland attractions.

Thank you, once again

We love the cottage, and I love the swimming pool. There were one or two glitches with the system during our stay (hot water problem) but I think they were dealt with quite promptly. I did find I received rather too many emails for my liking….no need to remind me about rubbish disposal so many times, thank you! But we would happily come back to Cranmer Cottages again

Excellent Stay

Great location for exploring North Norfolk. Coot Cottage had everything that we needed, so 5 star rating. Enjoyed having the Games Room on site. Our grand-children and their parents stating in other cottages really enjoyed the Swimming Pool on site. The volume of instructions was overwhelming compared to other holiday cottages where we have stayed, but we managed to understand everything.

Perfect location

We chose coot as an overflow extension to our families party in the Eco Barn. It was ideal for us as Grandparents as it gave us a quiet escape whilst being very close to the wider family. The location is superb as is the space for the children to play and the excellent swimming pool. This was our third visit and I am sure we will be back.

We have stayed here 3 times now and each time we intend to visit again. The cottage is comfortable and very clean. Any problems are dealt with really quickly so there is never a drop in standards.

Lovely long weekend break, lots to do in surrounding areas. Pool & games room good for the children & nice to have a specific time slot for personal use. Just being a little picky but shower needs addressing. Overall a lovely stay & would recommend.

Love Coot Cottage

Having stayed at Cranmer Cottages before we always knew it would be another lovely stay. We stayed in Coot cottage and again we were not disappointed. Perfect for a couple. Cute, very warm and cosy and we loved the Christmas tree. Cannot recommend them highly enough. Responsive, helpful and keen to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Coot Cottage in September

Our twelfth stay in coot (first in 2012) excellent cottage, very comfortable for the two of us. The location of Cranmer is perfect for cycling (complete with a secure bike store).whilst the country lanes and by-roads offer almost traffic free routes. Wildlife is always around and the in house activity room and swimming pool are available should the weather be poor. Already booked twice fior 2026

Great place to stay

This was our second stay at Coot Cottage. It is convenient for visits around North Norfolk which is why we like the location - plenty of options whatever the weather. Our previous stay was at the end of Covid when the cleaning regimes were very strict so it was not really surprising that a few very small issues were spotted this time. However, compared with the other holiday rentals we have used, Coot is exceptionally clean. We will come again.

Lovely location with excellent facilities

This is our 3rd stay at Cranmer. The location is good for cycling, walking and day trips, the cottages are well equipped and comfortable and we enjoyed using the pool and games room (table tennis). We had hoped to play tennis too but it didn't work out this time. We would come back with our children and grandchildren if it wasn't such a long drive from Manchester!

Excellent stay in Coot Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at Coot Cottage, our only complaint is that we only had time to visit for two nights! The whole process to arrange our trip was extremely well organised, with a wealth of information sent over before our arrival. The cottage and grounds are absolutely lovely, and ideal for our two young daughters. Everything was spotlessly clean, well maintained, and the cottage had everything we needed. The pool was fantastic too. Thank you for your hospitality and we really hope to visit again soon.

Fantastic short stay at Coot Cottage

We loved our stay at Cranmer Country Cottages. Before our visit we had excellent communication with the owners and they went above and beyond to help arrange a surprise for our daughter’s birthday. The accommodation itself was finished to a high standard and wonderfully clean. We made use of the games room, swimming pool and playground during our stay, all were fantastic facilities. The location of the cottages was in easy reach of two supermarkets and a number of pubs and takeaways and we found a number of visitor attractions that our family enjoyed close by. We would definitely recommend staying in any of the cottages.

The converted barns and cottages at Cranmer offer a chance for families to wind down and spend time together enjoying the superb onsite facilities, whilst giving the car a rest! The cluster of properties are perfectly located close to some of the best beaches on the North Norfolk coast whilst nestling in a beautiful rural location. The holiday barns share a fabulous luxury indoor heated pool, two all-weather tennis courts an indoor heated games room and easy access to safe outdoor space from the doorstep. There is the option to share holidays with extended family or friend whilst still having ones own front door by hiring several or all of the properties at once. For cycling enthusiasts there are some great local cycle routes along the quiet back roads all the way to the beach at Holkham.
The whole site has great eco credentials along with several E.V charging points for guests travelling in electric vehicles.
Owners Chris & Becci live onsite. There is a small team of enthusiastic and friendly staff around during the week to help with local knowledge and advice and to help guests get the most out of their stay.
