Kanallivet siger det hele, når du slapper af i dette unikke rummelige hjem på den hyggelige lille ø Matlacha. Sovepladser 8 let, perfekt til en stor familie eller et par par. Dette hjem giver alle mulighed for at have deres egen plads, både børn og voksne. To spisepladser og morgenmadsbar og også udenfor spisestue ved havnen. Vises i lanai med boblebad. Bådelift og dækning til den værdsatte besiddelse. Umiddelbar adgang til Mexicogolfen, hvor du finder de bedste øer til at fiske og hvide stranden, som du kan besøge! 3 kajakker og 5 cykler fås sammen med redningsveste og cykelhjelme. En konge, en dronning, to i fuld størrelse og to enkeltsenge.

Dette hjem er beliggende på en af de største partier på øen med et indhegnet område nordsiden parti holde de små i sikkerhed. Og stor åben vestkant for sjov og spil !! Vi beklager, at dette ikke er en hundevenlig ejendom.

Fishing Trip

We have rented this house several times for our yearly fishing trip, it is always clean and comfortable with all the amenities needed for a weeks stay.

Fishing Retreat

The house was perfect for us, very clean and well furnished, we were able to relax and enjoy some great fishing all week.

We enjoy the Matlacha area every year. This year was wonderful the house is spacious and accommodate 2 couples and boats. looking forward to next year!

A great location and so much to do in the area! Live music close by. Perfect for a girls’ weekend! Owner was very responsive to any concerns.

Perfect place for get together

Spacious home with 2 separate living rooms. Plenty of room for 4 couples with well furnished kitchen, 2 dining tables, nice lanai with hot tub and a gas grill by the water. Great for relaxing and entertaining. Would definitely book again!

Matlacha is a a slice of Heaven.

Our stay was restful, the weather was perfect and the area is on the repair after the devastating hurricane. The canal life is a perfect place to hang out from the winter cold.

Wonderful home and view!

Four siblings and spouses stayed in home, total of eight most days. Lots of room to meet together and still have space for small gatherings. Lovely home, friendly locals, and great seafood! Thanks for sharing your great home!

Island Life

House and furnishings were excellent. Such a tight knit, friendly community so quiet and relaxing. I could live here and be quite content (with the exception of a hurricane). We would definitely stay here again. We felt at home and treated it as if it was our own. Thank you for allowing us to spend 10 beautiful days in paradise.

Location and neighborhood were wonderful!

Owners are great people to work with. The house was very clean and plenty of room! The kids fished every day from the dock. We took the boat to Cayo Costa one day and Light House Beach in Sanibel another day to do some shelling and let the kids swim. Great restaurants in Matlacha as well! Would highly recommend!

Place to stay, if fishing Matlacha

This is the place to stay, if fishing Matlacha (Pine Island, Boca Grande and surrounding areas). Less then 1 Mile from the ramp, Expansive Living area, Huge dock area with Lift and fish cleaning table. Two refrigerator/freezers. Propane Grill. Hot tub.

Wonderful canal life!

Great house! Loved the split living quarters, relaxing by the dock, quiet atmosphere. It was a perfect getaway from busy lives. Local food was delicious. We spent alot of time in the kayaks paddling in and out of neighboring canals. There was an ospray nest on top of the phone pool across the street which was very cool. Neighbors were very nice. A little taste of island life was sweet. Would definitely come here again!

Kayak fishing & site seeing

Fantastic property, very spacious with large comfortable bedrooms. Kitchen area is big enough for meal preparation with several people working at once. All the appliances worked well and there are sufficient pots and pans and plenty of dishes and silverware. We fished from our kayaks every day and the dock space, which is ample, worked well for that. The property managers, Joyce and Bonnie, are excellent to work with. They were very responsive to any questions we had and were always available. The owners, Jennifer and Shawn were also very helpful. This is the second year that I have rented this property and found it to be one of the nicest places that I have stayed in.

Comfortable House on the Canal, Walk to Town

We stayed at this house for a friends' weekend and it was exactly what we hoped it would be. It had all the comforts of home, a great location on a canal with fish jumping out of the water and even a dolphin sighting! The house has bikes and kayaks and a gas grill, a hot tub, and two separate living room areas with TVs. It's an easy half-mile walk to the row group of great local restaurants, bars, and shops along the main road. The owners and rental agent are friendly and accommodating. When you sit on the back patio you are just a few feet from the tranquil canal, which is very nice. However, the house is in a quiet residential neighborhood, so we closed the doors and went inside for our late-night card games. Terrific place -- highly recommended.

Perfect Reset for a Busy Life

We were looking for a quiet weekend getaway. Canal Life was perfect. This was the most well stocked rental I've ever rented. They had everything! We only had to bring the food & wine! Fished right off the dock and caught a lot of fish! It was a rainy weekend. Played games & puzzles. Watched movies & football. House has a split floorplan with two living areas. Ventured out to learn a bit of local history. Visited some cool trinket shops and restaurants within walking distance. Excellent communication with owners & property manager. EXCELLENT rental if you bring your boat and other watercraft.

Kayak fishing adventure

The property was perfect for our needs. The water access to the canal for launching our kayaks was very good. We were able to easily slide our kayaks into the water each morning and back up onto the dock at the end of each day. The house itself was fantastic, very spacious including a large kitchen with all the utensils and appliances necessary for preparing meals. The bedrooms are large and the beds are very comfortable. The property manager, Bonnie was very helpful and provided us with lots of good information. The Matlacha area is incredible for kayaking and especially kayak fishing. The water is very clear and we would see dolphins and lots of fish every day. There are many different types of birds including herons, egrets, ibises, a variety of ducks,terns and gulls as well as ospreys and eagles. There are many islands and waterways to explore and in one week we only scratched the surface. I would like to return next year and stay for at least a a couple of weeks.

Big and nice!

The house has four bedrooms, and they are all very large and nice. The bed in the master bedroom is super comfy! We loved the surprisingly strong water pressure in the showers. The kitchen is very nice and well equipped for making meals. We appreciated being able to park in the garage to keep our car out of the hot sun. Our very favorite place was the screened porch overlooking the canal. There are ceiling fans there to keep you cool as you watch the mullet jump in the canal. The homeowner is very helpful with supplying information and answering questions. I definitely recommend this home when staying in Matlacha!

Our family of five first visited Matlacha Island during the 2015 Christmas holiday.  We rented a small house and had planned a list of activities to enjoy in the area.  Our three teen aged boys walked out back to throw out a few fishing lines while we unpacked the car and that is where they remained (pretty much) until we repacked the car a week later.  The truth is they walked to the bridge… to fish, went out on the kayaks… to fish, and went on an off shore charter… to fish.  My husband and I enjoyed some fishing and kayaking along side of them but also took time to appreciate the local shops, art galleries, and restaurants.  Seafood just doesn’t come any fresher than here!  
We fell in love with the town and with the people of Matlacha during that week and found ourselves, less than a year later, falling in love with our “Canal Life” home.  We have put great time and effort into creating an environment that will give you the comforts of home with the relaxation of a vacation.  Our family wishes you the dream vacation of peace, tranquility, and family fun that we found on Matlacha and hope that you enjoy living the Canal Life as much as we do.
