Lovely stay in Barbados! House was clean and well stocked. There was plenty of room for all 6 of us, and the backyard pool was great!

Just back from a wonderful Christmas and New Year stay. Great location for beaches, shopping and restaurants. Lovely quite relaxing home, very spacious, having the larger pool round the corner as well as the Royal Pavilion beach club membership was a lovely bonus. Marcia was so friendly and accommodating, while Cal and Robin were extremely helpful and responsive from the very start and thought out - thank you for making our stay special.

Lovely place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was lovely, well equipped, spacious and in a great location. The property manager, Marcia, was great - one of the air conditioning units stopped working late one evening and she arranged an engineer to visit within the hour to fix it. Would definitely stay there again.

50th birthday in Barbados

Beautiful well appointed property, everything we needed was here. We made good use of the beach club passes and when we weren't at the beach our time was spent one of the pools. Highly recommend!!

Xmas 24 @Tickety Blue

Fabulous property, we had an amazing time.Cal's communication was first class and the property Manager Marcia could not do enough to help.Membership of the Royal Pavilion Beach Club makes this a perfect holiday location

Wonderful Property

"Tickety Blue" is located in a quiet, gated complex of townhomes on the west side of the island. Very convenient to shopping, restaurants, etc. It has three BR/BA plus a powder room (plenty of room to spread out) a very well-equipped kitchen, and a lovely, private plunge pool out back.

Lovely home and gated complex with a shared pool.

The property manager was superb and always at the end of a WhatsApp message. Everything was easy from start to finish. The use of the hotels beds on the beach was great also

We had an excellent stay in this unit first week of March 2026. It's well stocked and very clean. Perfect for our three couples, each getting their own bathroom. The outdoor space was awesome and we loved the beach club passes at the Fairmont. It's a bit of a hike to grocery stores in Holetown so suggest keeping that in mind during your stay if you don't have a car. The bus system is super easy to use though. The host, Cal and Property Manager, Marcia were awesome and so incredibly responsive with our questions to help ensure we enjoyed our stay. I would highly reccomend.

PRACTICALLY PERFECT

We have stayed in the area many times before but this was our first time staying in this villa and we will definitely return. The decor is tasteful and very in keeping with the property. Having three double rooms each with a decent bathroom was a treat. The outdoor area is lovely and was used a lot. We have nothing but good things to say about the villa and our dealings with Cal and when in Barbados Marcia who was always helpful. Thank you for having us in your beautiful home.

Our stayvwas great ..communication with the owner was great theyvwas understanding and very helpful..the properly Manger Marciar hope i spelled that right was pleasant and helpful..the property was fabulous house was big clean and everything was there in the house we needed..will stay again..and it was pretty close to alot ...go to Jordan grocery store..seems to be a bit cheaper..and rent a car if u can its better in savings

A lovely stay in your Villa.

We had a great stay in the villa which is well equipped with all that you would need. Games for the children too were appreciated. Marcia very kindly let us check in early and check out later as we had an early evening flight. The location is great being close to the beach, restaurants and shops. We got a croissant every morning from the bakery which was walking distance. The only downside was the construction work going on next door which meant a peaceful relax by the pool was not possible. We did enjoy the Fairmont and did lots of exploring the island.

Perfect location for our trip. Walking distance to Fairmont Pavillion and Folkstone Marine Park. French bakery 5 minute walk and grocery stores nearby. The villa management was very responsive. We ordered groceries ahead of arrival and were also given a contact for transportation. Villa is as advertised, fully stocked(3 comfortable bedrooms with bathrooms. There is AC in every bedroom plus living area. The yard has morning and early afternoon sun. Perfect for a coffee before going out for the day. The plunge pool is great to cool off and is kept clean. We took a catamaran trip and the company we chose provided pick up directly at the villa location. We also did Harrison Cave and the tour company offered pick up at the Fairmont. This was our first time in Barbados and we now intend to come back. Great island vibes and everyone we encountered were happy and helpful.

Enjoyable stay

Good space. Well stocked kitchen with a good supply of essentials and coffee. Nice touches of slippers and bathrobes - something we don’t see in vacation rentals. TV has many channels. House and pool super clean. Pool has jets. Plenty of towels. Good to have Beach Club passes. Excellent communication with owners. Great property manager, Marcia, who helped arrange all of our taxis including a 4:30am pick up on our day of departure.

Amazing house

What an amazing house Tickety Blue is. Six of us stayed, each in our own en-suite room. The house had everything you could possibly need while on holiday. Marcia the property manager was lovely and very helpful. Natalie, the housekeeper came in to change sheets and towels. The house is a 5 minute walk to the beach at the Fairmount Royal Pavillion hotel, beach club cards are provided so you have use of sun beds and a discount off your rum sour. I highly recommend Tickety Blue if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Barbados.

Wonderful Tickety Blue

My family and I had a wonderful time at Tickety Blue! The villa was immaculately clean, and well situated in a gated community. The plunge pool was used multiple times daily to cool off from the hot sun, and was just the right size. The use of the Fairmont Beach Club was a huge bonus, as we were just a 8-10 minute walk away. This villa is a short walk to many great restaurants such as JuJu’s, Seacat, Lonestar, and Juma's. The property manager Marcia was a pleasure to work with and was always available to help us out and answer any questions that we had. We look forward to returning during our next trip to Barbados!

5 Star Tickety Blue

I would certainly highly recommend this property for rental in St James Barbados. The location close to Holetown is ideal; and the property is immaculately maintained as are the beautiful grounds of the secure complex it lies within. The patio is a sun trap for those days you just want to relax around the plunge pool to cool off and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals if you prefer not to venture out. Each room is en-suite, which meant no queuing for showers or toilets. Access to the easy walkable Fairmont Beach Hotel is a valued bonus. Our favourite Bajan restaurant is also within walking distance along the main road or our preference along the beautiful beach .

Absolutely fantastic house in paradise!

We loved our stay in Tickety Blue, with the hosts doing everything they could to make the stay run smoothly. The house is just as described - great sized rooms all with effective air conditioning, a great downstairs with a good sized indoor dining table and lounge, and a lovely outside with a small pool and seating areas. The small estate that the house is on is great, with a bigger pool, tennis court (although a little too hot to play!) and table tennis. The real jewel in the crown was the access to the Fairmont's Beach Club, a short walk away (although across one quite busy road). This gave access to sun-loungers and umbrella's on a fantastic beach. All in all, I cannot recommend this place enough and we will definitely try to get back here as soon as we can!

We had a wonderful day at Tickety Blue! The selling point was that it came with passes to the Fairmont beach club where we had access to chaise lounges and umbrellas, in just a two minute drive or under 10 minutes to walk. The house itself had everything we needed and was quite comfortable for our family of four to spread out across three bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom. The master bedroom’s air conditioning, even at its coldest setting (17), could not compare to the coolness offered by the other two bedrooms and family room (all of which which were quite cool at 23!), but we were still comfortable and when we mentioned it to Marcia (property manager) she indicated that it was probably due for routine service soon so I suspect it will not be an issue in the future. Cal was so helpful with my early planning questions and ensuring that we had everything we needed for a super vacation.

Met Needs

The rental satisfied our needs of nine nights for a family celebration. Roomy and comfortable. A few minor glitches where quickly solved by Marcea.We had hoped that access to the Fairmont Beach Club would be a highlight of our stay. The web doesn't show much about it; only the Fairmont Resort facilities, which is different from the Beach Club. When we checked it out, we were disappointed and never used it. We had hoped it included a swimming pool (the Fairmont pool), but it was simply a small beach, a few chairs and umbrellas, a bar and young men hanging out to sell water sport adventures. We chose instead to go further up to the beach in front of Ju Ju's where we rented beach chairs and umbrellas.

Very nice condo in quiet secluded area

Very nice place in a secluded area. While we where there they were doing construction around development but it did not cause any type of inconveniences for us. Home is a few miles from Holetown and walkable. Buses are very easy and cheap to ride. The only inconvenience we experienced is the hot water in the morning was good for about 1 shower and there were 6 of us. We failed to mention until a day before leaving which was our mistake. Seems there was a hot water booster in a room off the kitchen we could have pushed for more hot water. Instead we just took shifts for showering lol Very happy with the VRBO. Also Cal was very helpful with all my questions before and during our stay.
