Absolutely beautiful villa - JP and Heather were wonderful hosts - we had the best time - above and beyond my expectations - thoroughly recommend!!

The hosts are amazing! They answer messages promptly and help ensure you have everything to make your trip very easy. The property is absolute beautiful! The landscaping is stunning and well maintained. The pool and hot tub are perfect. The view every morning and evening is breathtaking! Chef Shelley is an absolute must! We only booked her one time originally but had her come back after our first meal was so amazing. We are already planning our return stay next year!

Beach was beautiful sand, sunsets were gorgeous and the huge outdoor deck was perfect for us. Owner lives onsite so quick to respond to questions.

Great property with great amenities and a million dollar view. The host was very available, all the conveniences you need are provided, we had a great time on our corporate retreat! Be aware that the WiFi can be spotty - apparently this is not usual but was a bad week for the internet provider while we were there.

Happy to learn you enjoyed your stay. We really like to see our guests take full advantage of the many things to do on the island and then when coming back to the property, just relax and reflect on the good times. I know you enjoyed being around the pool, it is such a great spot and the water is so warm this time of year.....not too hard to take.

we had a lovely stay. the property is great and it’s right off a lovely beach that’s not at all crowded. J.P. and Heather were wonderful hosts and were happy to be as helpful as they could.

Nice house on a beautiful beach

Very nice large house with lots of areas to hang out. The pool was wonderful and the beach in front was so nice we didnt feel te need to even go to any others

Most beautiful property, the owners were very friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Most beautiful beach and sunset views right in front of the patio. It was a mesmerizing experience. Highly recommend this property.

Beachfront paradise

We had an amazing stay at Tantulus. The house was well equipped, rooms comfortable, and grounds and pool/hot tub well maintained. JP was a gracious host and gave us a good overview of the property on check in, and was very helpful with recommendations. Highly recommend this property.

I would highly recommend this location. We had people of many ages and we all enjoyed the amenities.

The property is clean, well located and has so much to offer as it’s on the beach, has a pool and hot tub. The hosts made some great recommendations and were quick to reply to our questions. I would highly recommend this property. We all really enjoyed ourselves.

Perfect Family Vacation Location

Beautiful residence in a most perfect location. Each family member/couple had their own room and bathroom. The master has a magnificent patio overlooking the ocean and the main floor veranda is the perfect hang-out spot for the family. JP was the perfect owner/manager assisting when needed. This property is a true memory maker.

Our stay at Tantalus Villa was truly a 5 star ! Everything about this vacation home is outstanding! My family of 5 adults and 4 children enjoyed every minute of our time here. The pictures are accurate, from the most beautiful beach right outside your doorstep, to the crystal clean pool and hot tub, spacious outdoor space and comfortable sleeping quarters. Umbrellas and chairs made our time on the beach a highlight. John Paul and Heather could not have been more helpful and responsive to every question. Their driver Vernon took us to and from the airport and Shelley, their private chef prepared an authentic Caribbean meal that even the children enjoyed! Do not hesitate to book Tantalus Villa for a memorable vacation on the beautiful island of Barbados!

Excellent Villa

We loved our stay at Tantalus Villa. The villa was spacious, clean and had everything you needed. JP and Heather were great hosts. They always responded promptly to our questions and were very helpful during our stay. The villa has a great pool and right on Brighton Beach for great swims and long walks on the beach. It is in a great location. Highly recommended. Thanks for a great stay.

Family Treasure

This property was full of surprises and the views were amazing. Our 3 year old Grand Princess truly enjoyed herself and didn’t want to leave. Our adults enjoyed the comfort of the home as well as the numerous areas to relax outside. We were in close proximity to everything that we needed and JP and Heather were awesome hosts. We highly recommend Beach Lover’s Delight.

Paradise!!!

Beach Lover's Delight proved to be the PERFECT vacation Getaway for our family. The view was BreathTaking!!! The house offered everything you could need for a relaxing vacation.The pool was Beautiful and Refreshing. The staff went out of their way to exceed our needs. Joe was a Gracious and Friendly host. This was by far the Greatest house we have rented in our 20 plus years of traveling as a family!!!

An amazing getaway.

Tantalus was a dream. 7 days flew by so quickly. The smell of banana bread welcomes us when we arrived. The villa was very beautiful and spacious. The pictures didn't do it justice. The owners were very helpful and prompt in replying to messages. Would highly recommend this villa to anyone.

Tantalus Villa was perfect for our family vacation (4 couples and a one-year-old). The many beautiful bedrooms - each with its own private bathroom - were ideal. When we weren’t in the huge and refreshing pool or on the adjacent beach, we spent most of our time outside in one of many comfy sitting areas. This is truly indoor/outdoor living and we loved it all. Brighton Beach is gorgeous. We saw horses walking by and swimming in the turquoise ocean water. The sunsets were breathtaking. A short walk to the left brought us to a casual beach bar (Rascals) and a bit longer walk to the right brought us to La Cabane, a stunning beachfront restaurant, with fantastic food. Right next door is a rum distillery with tastings and tours. If you’re looking for more nightlife, you’d need to drive or take a taxi. We had a delicious dinner cooked and served on the patio by Chef Shelley. Cleaning service/linen changes were done midweek. We also had use of the laundry room facilities. JP was an excellent VRBO host and communicator. He met us upon arrival and sent a comprehensive Welcome Book in advance. His sweet little dog, Bora, visited with us a couple of times, much to the delight of our little one. If you want a lovely home on a stunning stretch of beach for a large group, look no further than Tantalus.

Truly Amazing!

Tantalus Villa is truly amazing! The property, grounds and beach are perfect! The house is stocked well and very clean and JP and Heather are excellent hosts. They have truly thought of everything! The welcome guide was thorough and provided us with so much information to help us with the property and on the island. We were with a large group of adults and were in Barbados for a wedding at a different villa. It was so nice to have a wonderful spot to rest at the beach or by the pool between wedding activities. There is enough space for everyone with lots of seating for us to spread out and enjoy our time in Barbados. There aren't a lot of restaurants near by but there are plenty of stores to get everything you need for the house. I would stay at Tantalus again in a heart beat! Thank you JP and Heather!

Beautiful Location

This villa is set directly on a beautiful huge stretch of beach. The views from the deck areas are spectacular. We especially enjoyed watching the sunsets and the cruise ships go out at night. We were a party of 9, and there was tons of room for us. We did have 1 small issue. The hot tub does not work, which was a bit of a disappointment, especially in December/January when the ocean and pool are the coolest. JP did tell us he has been working on to try to get it running, so perhaps inquire if this is important to you. We loved our frequent visits from the owners dogs. They are very sweet, and it was so funny how they always seemed to know when we were having dinner.......... ;)

Glad your group had a pleasant time. Yes we are sorry for the issues with the heater for the hot tub, the new one we bought couldn't be installed in time due to electrical supply problems. This has now been sorted out, hope you appreciated the cooked breakfasts we supplied to your group to make up for the lack of heat in the spa.

Extraordinary Property and Hosts!

The pictures and description of the Villa cannot fully capture the actual beauty, prime beach location, and “high style” of the property. Combined with the genuine warmth and hospitality of hosts - JP & Heather - this is a must-rent property for an unforgettable vacation. The three of us friends had plenty of space to spread out - each having a great bedroom and private bathroom. Ample comfortable and spacious common areas for hanging out together. The toughest choice each day was how to divide our time between the clean and refreshing pool or the beautiful sandy beach about 20 to 25 yards away from the main Villa. The hosts were so helpful with recommendations for a private driver, restaurant options, stocking the kitchen to our request, providing a courtesy drive to grocery store, and arranging an in-Villa private dining experience. Perhaps my best vacation rental experience of all time!

60th birthday celebration

perfect for large or small groups, JP was very helpful and always answered our questions promptly, very friendly house keepers and grounds keeper, JP recommended an amazing chef Shelly I only wished I used her at least 4 times instead of two she is over the top good. views are fantastic and the beach could not be closer or better. all adult kids and their spouses loved the house and beach. we had a photographer Josee she is prompt and has the best eye for great pictures. JP recommend bug spray and I am glad we brought some they are not bad at all but two of the kids seem to attract bugs. we are picky with shampoo, conditioner and lotion so we brought our own. He does provide these items. If we needed anything JP is on site and he made sure we had what we needed. Keep in mind the bedrooms are air conditioned and rest of the house is open living with out air, which there is a breeze. The pool is perfect size. The hot tub does not work properly but JP had the gas company come and they are trying to fix the problem. One ceiling fan doesn't work and two work real slow, but once again JP wasn't aware of the problem and is gonna replace them. I would recommend this house and would stay there again. *****
