The location was great. We had trouble getting in. We also had problems with the air conditioning one first night. Otherwise a great place to stay.

Great Beachside Stay

It was very nice! Walking distance to some restaurants and the location was right on the beach! Overall I was happy with my stay! Loved the comfort of the placed!

Don’t judge a book by its cover

When we pulled in my heart sank, I thought I must have been whodooed but what’s one to do now? We went to the door and when it opened I was pleasantly surprised the place was nice and just as pictured! The outside is an old hotel converted to condos. The grounds were clean and well kept. The location is good and it was quiet. We slept well and enjoyed the comfort of this quaint cozy little studio condotel! Hands cleanest floors ever!!

Overall amazing place, highly recommend, it is a cheaper place to stay that attracted some.. iffy people, but besides that, definitely recommend

Good Stay

Room was clean and close to everything!We have nothing bad or negative to say about the unit.Only downfall is the club across the street tends to be a little loud throughout most of the night. Which can get a little irritating if you have an early morning. So rating is purely for location

Very cozy

Was a great stay could walk to so many things, lots of pillows which is a plus for me, enjoyed the box fan for my significant other as the noise helps him sleep, beautiful renovated and the beach is right there close to the pier! Love the beautiful fireplace as the whole feel of apartment was amazing

5 day stay

Overall, the location was fantastic. Allot to do within walking distance. Room was clean. Tv/internet didn't work, no big deal. Family and I had a blast... hopefully rerurn next year around same time.

Pleasure Vacation

Cozy comfortable room. Please advise building owners that the fire alarm system was in trouble and panel alerted all day and night. Could be heard in room location. Recommend service to have trouble alerts corrected. Elevator has not been inspected in over five years. Recommend testing by officials. Room was nice and clean, but the building is not compliant to life safety code.

Very nice room

The room was great but the surroundings of other rooms and structure has a lot to be desired. Very dated and most of the location appears to be under construction. But again the room was very nice and clean. Pool was not available and access to the beach you had to walk completely around the property to get access.

The condo was nice, clean and smelled great! However, the air conditioning was very poor and had to run constantly and did not even cool the small space. Also, the pool was under construction and the property manager or owner did not communicate that with us. That was 1 of the main reason we went with this condo.

Builders special

The first thing we noticed was the door latch was all bent up, so the door wouldn’t stay closed tight unless you used the deadbolt. The room was clean, but dated when we got inside. The shower didn’t have any hot water so I requested that someone come out and fix it. They told me there were no previous complaints and that it was how I was adjusting the hot water in the shower. I hired a plumber to fix the hot water problem at my expense so I could have hot showers. I also donated a new coffee maker since the one there had no coffee pot.

Even the beautiful beach did not make it worth it

The construction caused the pool to be closed which I did not know until we got there. It was not a condo, but an old run down motel (not even hotel) that was decorated very cute. However no amount of decorations could hide the rust. I did not care that it was old, small, smelled a little musty, was under construction or any of that. I did care that I could take a shower and have hot water. The hot water took a while to get warm, never got hot. Then the water pressure was so bad that you had to turn it to almost completely cold to even take a shower. The construction also made it much harder to get to the beach. No elevator either, so a big pain every time I needed to take my dogs outside. It wreaked of pot outside in the other “condos”. The area did not seem very family friendly. The beach itself was absolutely gorgeous and is the only thing that saved this vacation. I will not return no matter how cheap it may be. If you are looking for something decent, keep looking. Also, the bed was so uncomfortable that my back hurt every morning when I woke up. Didn’t even try the pull out couch. Will say that having beach chairs and such in the room was nice and the manager was very responsive when I messaged her.

Unprofessional and Unconcerned

The day of our arrival, the property manager sent us the unit number and key box access code as expected. We arrived at 4am due to a delayed flight. When we opened the door to our assigned unit we found someone awake and standing inside the door. When we reached out via phone, the property manager told us she had sent the wrong information and then sent us the “correct” room and key code which was next door to the one we had opened. In addition to putting ourselves and other renters at risk with that error, we were awoken between 7-8 am each morning with hammering and construction noises from the remodel taking place. Lastly, one-third of the parking lot was blocked off for construction making it difficult to find parking when we returned later in the evening. We had to park in unauthorized parking two of the five nights we were there and get up early in the morning to move our vehicle. Due to all these issues, we made the decision to leave a day early. When we reached out to the property ma agent with our concerns amd a request to refund the last night she made no attempt to acknowledge any of it and rather became argumentative and confrontational. In all our experiences traveling I have never dealt with someone who represented a company with such unprofessionalism. Disappointing experience. Would not recommend!!

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!

This is NOT a resort as described! It is an old run down apartment/condo complex. The door keypad works inconsistently and it took me approximately 10 tries to get in when I first arrived, despite following instructions provided. The interior is a nicely renovated and decorated studio but very small. It would not be comfortable for more than 2 adults. I completely forgot about the difficulties getting in until I arrived back at approximately 9:30 and couldn't get the lock to work. I tried the keypad multiple times to no avail while becoming increasingly distraught and scared in the dark with some "sketchy" people hanging out in the parking lot. Thankfully I finally got the keypad to work as my phone call and messages to owner/manager went unanswered for several hours. Rough night trying to sleep due to noise of area bars and loud traffic along with light coming in from the sides of the blinds and fearful that someone would look in the windows. Packed up and left by 8:30 am as I absolutely did not want to spend another night there knowing I would be arriving back again after dark and didn't want to be stranded outside. Unfortunately I changed my plans and went home early. My weekend away was ruined by choosing this property. The owner/manager stated no prior problems with lock but it clearly wasn't working consistently when I was there. I highly encourage others to be smarter than I was and avoid this property. It is not worth the money and hassle.

Overall, standard hotel room.

We decided on this property due to the price and location. The original post stated the price was reflective of the construction going on in the building itself. However, I would have never paid a penny more even had there not been construction. The property itself is old, run down and overall a mess. The first two nights weren’t too bad with the noise and other guests but that quickly changed. At all hours of the night there were slamming doors, loud screaming, partying etc. I am fully aware that this is in no way the property owners fault. We did speak to the grounds caretaker, who was very nice and communicated with us that it is normally not an issue. So take that for what you will. The main issues we had with the room itself are something I believe should be addressed. We were fortunate to visit during a cooler month, thankfully because I do not believe the air conditioning could have kept up. Even with the cooler weather, our room was just barely cool day or night. The window unit appears to be added after the pictures were taken and I’m glad there was one. The pictures are a bit deceiving for the size of the room, but it was just my husband and I so we were ok with the smaller space. The kitchenette is just that, perfect for two people who need basic kitchen needs. It was all updated and very nice. The bed is another story. The mattress was just plain awful. Old, outdated and incredibly uncomfortable. I could not even sleep on it. I ended up sleeping separate from my husband the entire trip on the sofa, which was the lesser of the two evils but also incredibly uncomfortable. I would say the couch was better suited for a small child. A new updated mattress could solve this issue easily. Overall, for the price we paid and for the amazing location, we would give a 3/5 star review. We would not return to stay here again.

Great time!

Cheylas condo was perfect! My family and I loved the room & it was incredibly comfortable. We loved the small touches that most don’t think of (hangers, beach toys, hair dryers, soap, larger mini fridge with a freezer & ice) there were many things we loved. The location was perfect, just a very short walk to the beach. The parking was good with no problems. Highly recommend Cheylas condo!

Everything was great! Parking was not so good. Motorcycle did not park in their designated area, therefore they used car spaces that left us without a place to park. Construction was going on that took up a lot of parking spaces. Construction caused us to have to walk around the block to get to the beach and the pool/patio was not accessible. I would stay again but maybe after construction is complete.

Daytona 500 2022

The check in process took me by surprise as it was the first time with self check in. I talked to Rob who works at the D.I.B.R, who informed me what I needed to do. I contacted the owner who promptly got back to me, there was an issue with the door code, again Rob was able to help out. Room was clean and recently renovated. Construction at the Daytona Inn Beach Resort doesn't affect your stay. I was planning to return because we're friends with some of the people who live there but missed out on the booking. Over all 3 due to construction.

Time to start again, in Daytona

Just starting a new life's journey and Daytona Beach really hit the spot! Being right on the beach, walking distance to everything!! I only drovemy car twice! Night life was awesome at the Ocean Deck and the other local restaurants were great. Tons of music entertainment! Great time had overall!

Beautiful and practical condo

The condo is a beautifully remodeled place and we all love the practicality of all the furniture like the night light table with a plug in to charge my phone, the sofa be with storage for bed cloths. I like that the kitchen was fully equiped with utensils, lots of cleaning products, fridge, appliances. The bathroom was equipped with toiletries, towels, the closet with linens, beach toys, inflatable bed, fully equipped. Loved the fact that we could just wake up and walk to the beach 🤗🤗 Thank you Cheyla for sharing your condo.
