Vilassar Open House. Family Home 150 meters from the Beach and 20 km from Barcelona

A quiet family home for up to 5 guests in the historic center of Vilassar de Mar, just 150 m from the beach and the train station, with direct trains to Plaça de Catalunya in Barcelona in 30 minutes.

The house is on the first floor, all on one level, and combines modern comfort with original details: a very quiet place to enjoy a relaxing vacation with family or friends. The en-suite bathroom has grab bars for guests with limited mobility.

It stays cool in summer and warm in winter, with underfloor heating, a powerful heating/cooling air conditioning unit in the hallway, and ceiling fans in all bedrooms. It also features high-speed Wi-Fi (300 Mb fiber) and a TV.

A second bathroom with a non-slip shower tray serves these two bedrooms.

The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, and electric kettle. There is also a washing machine, iron, and ironing board. The interior terraces are perfect for an outdoor breakfast or meal.

We provide bed linens, shower gel, shampoo, a welcome kitchen kit, and one bath towel and one hand towel per guest. Extra towels, a baby crib, and a high chair are available upon request, subject to availability, for an additional fee (see House Rules).

Vilassar de Mar is a traditional fishing town with a wide range of services, supermarkets, restaurants, and bars. You can get around on foot, although a car or bicycle is recommended for longer outings. If you come by car, there is free parking next to the train station, 150 m from the house, and Barcelona is 20 minutes away via the toll-free highway or the N-II.

THINGS TO DO
The Nautical Club, a 12-minute walk away, offers windsurfing, paddleboarding, and sailing, and the beach bars are open in the summer with music, drinks, and food. Nearby are the Flower and Ornamental Plant Market—which features a local farmers’ market on Sundays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.—as well as the Monjo, Maritime, and Carme Rovira House Museum. The Illa Fantasia water park, in Vilassar de Dalt, is a 7-minute drive away, featuring more than 22 slides, three large pools, and a picnic area, and there are playgrounds just a few minutes’ walk from the house. For mountain lovers, there are hiking and biking trails, the Hípica Sant Mateu riding center in Premià de Dalt—featuring horses and farm animals—and Burriac Castle, which offers spectacular views of the Maresme coast.

Families with children of any age are welcome; groups must consist of adults aged 30 or older.

According to local regulations, all guests must present a valid ID (DNI or passport) for traveler registration.

A €300 deposit is required via credit card upon arrival (not applicable to Airbnb reservations). The deposit will be refunded to the same card within 7 days after check-out, following an inspection of the property.

The following charges may be deducted from the deposit: lost or unreturned key set, €100; stained (sunscreen, makeup, shoe soles, discoloration) or damaged bed linens or towels, €15 each; smoking inside the property, €150 for extra cleaning and deodorization; an additional hour of special cleaning due to the condition in which the property is left, €17 + VAT (21%).

For Airbnb reservations, any of these charges, as well as damage and penalties, will be claimed through Airbnb’s AirCover.

Tourist tax not included: it must be paid at the rate applicable at the time of check-in. It applies per guest (aged 17 and older) and per night, with a maximum charge of seven nights.

Check-in is from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Check-out must be completed by 10:00 a.m. at the latest.

A crib (€15) and/or a high chair (€5) are available upon request, subject to availability. This fee is charged directly and is never deducted from the security deposit.

Pets and parties are not allowed. Please respect the neighbors’ quiet hours from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Very important: only the guests listed on the reservation may stay in the property. Overnight stays by anyone else constitute a very serious violation and may result in significant penalties. Daytime visitors require prior authorization from Opening Doors and must leave by 10:00 PM.

Smoking is not allowed inside the property.

Turn off the lights and air conditioning when you are not at home. We kindly ask you to avoid waste and use electricity, water, and gas responsibly. Excessive consumption may result in deductions from the security deposit.

Bath towels must not be taken to the beach. We offer a beach towel rental service.

Please take out the trash regularly—and always before leaving—and place it in the bins on the street. Before leaving, please also load your dishes into the dishwasher.

Please note that a Short-Term Rental Agreement, detailing the terms summarized here, must be signed via the online check-in form before your stay.
