This thriving tiny town has twice-weekly market days, a wide range of restaurants and taverns, as well as a large number of independent businesses. Guisborough Forest, a magnificent wooded area, encircles the town. On the outskirts of Guisborough, the Guisborough Forest & Walkway is located at Pinchinthorpe, at the northern end of the A173. Guisborough Forest, which is administered by Forest Enterprise, lies 2.5 miles away to the west and Nunthorpe to the east of the 2.5-mile stretch of the old railway line. Roseberry Topping may be seen to the south from here, and it serves as a gateway to the North York Moors National Park.
