Whilst the property is very new, modern, peaceful and wonderfully placed for a stay in York, it is not very practical for longer stays. For instance :-
- there is very little usable furniture, it is over-cluttered with many somewhat bizarre art objects.
- the bathrooms and bedrooms have nowhere to hang towels up to dry.
- the kitchen area has no reasonable places to put a kettle, a toaster, a microwave or coffee maker.
- there is nowhere to drain any dishes if you happen to do some washing up.
- the dishwasher has no container for cutlery, so we found ourselves having to manually wash those up, every day.
- the heating system was an utterly confusing setup, we gave up trying to adjust it. The owner needs to provide MUCH more detailed instructions, step-by-step.
In summary, it is as though the owner of the property has never actually tried living in it.
All that said, we had a nice week. I only provide all the above feedback in the hope that somebody may try to resolve some of those things to improve peoples perception of Waterside.
